· Zoned SupportTM: Three zones of targeted support for proper spinal alignment. Softer foam around the shoulders provides more relief to the upper body. Firmer foam under the hips, waist, and lower back helps align your spine. · AirScapeTM: A layer of AirScapeTM perforated breathable foam increases airflow and circulates air so you don't get too hot at night. The tiny holes move hot air and body heat away. · Base: Resilient springs add a little lift, support and airflow to the mattress of your dreams. A firmer border provides edge support to help you get in and out of bed easily. · Certified by our Sleep Lab · 100-night risk-free trial on products sold by Casper

We feel like this Casper mattress offers the ideal combination of cushioning and support with both memory foam and spring coils. No aching joints in the morning. Nice that when sleeping with a partner, your partner can move around, turn over, whatever, without setting the entire mattress in motion. We installed it on a steel bed frame with no box springs and we're very happy with it. Just be advised that it is very heavy, so take that into consideration for delivery and installation on your bed. Delivery was made to our front porch, we used a hand truck to wheel it to the bedroom and then took two of us to hoist it up on the bed frame.

I have been suffering from extreme back pain ever since I bought my last mattress from Ikea one year ago. I purposely bought an extra firm Ikea mattress (8/10) because I had a super soft foam mattress (2/10) prior to that one, which I believe is where my back pain started. To be honest, I wasn’t a believer of the special engineering of these kinds of mattresses and thought the major reason for my pain were due to past injuries, work and personal related stress. As time went on, the pain got worse. I went to see a chiropractor and an acupuncture specialist and it wasn’t working. So I started to work out and do regularly back stretches. The pain got even worse, especially in the mornings. I’ve looked for numerous ways to cure myself and even wore a back brace for a year. I’ve researched for the past 9 months for a self-cure and one of the last things on my list was to change my newly bought super firm mattress. I read on health.com that people with back pain shouldn’t actually sleep on firmer mattresses, but should sleep on a softer foam/latex mattress at a firmness level of (6.5/10). So after reviewing multiple mattresses for months, I was about to get the Bear Hybrid Mattress as it seemed to me that athletes appreciated the recovery the Bear mattress provided them. I then found a review on tuck.com about the Casper original and how it’s best for light weight sleepers. Digging deeper, I found the Casper original hybrid, a 1/2 foam and 1/2 coils mattress with firmer zone support and longer lasting materials compared to the original. I found the Casper hybrid at an even cheaper price on Amazon then Casper’s official website and shipping would only take 2 days, rather than 2 weeks. 2 days later, the Casper hybrid arrives outside my door in a well packed, tall large box. It was heavy but I was able to manage it myself. I wiped it down before opening it on my bed frame. It expanded within seconds and I was very surprised that there was no smell at all. I gave the new mattress a wipe down and let it sit for a few hours before trying it. (I read that we should let a new mattress sit for 24-48 hours but this Casper hybrid was ready to go out of the box.) 2 hours later, I woke up realizing that I passed out while trying out the new mattress. I remember laughing with pure happiness before passing out. I felt like I was sleeping on bouncy clouds while gently being placed on top of it. The support for my shoulder and lower back dissolved the pain I had for years almost immediately. I thought to myself, I should have got this sooner. After sleeping on the Casper hybrid for the last couple days, the pain I use to wake up with every morning has disappeared 95%. Along with doing my daily stretches and massages, I wake up every morning 100% a brand new man. Thank you for curing my back pain! -Firmness Level 5.5-5.7/10. -No smell and ready to use out of the box. -Bouncy cloud feeling while gently being placed on top of it. -Great zone support and pressure relief. -Best for light weight and average weight sleepers. -Im a front sleeper, but I sleep on my back and sides very comfortably. -Edge support is not the best but very good considering the construction. -Mobilization transfer is not the best but good. -100 day free trail and 10 year basic warranty. -No home setup and no service to take old mattress away due to Covid. -Amazon is cheaper and has faster shipping options. I hope my honest review could help some of you out there. Recovery is so important, and this kind of investment is worth every penny. I would also recommend to do your daily stretches, massages and nightly hot bath sessions to speed up your recovery, all the best!

We have bought a few Casper mattresses, so we've liked sleeping on them, and the ease of an "in the box" mattress solution. The Casper hybrid is a good mattress, though we've discovered it sleeps better after a little "break-in" period. It starts out feeling a little too firm in my opinion. The mattress weighs in at over 100 pounds, so it would be a great improvement if the mattress had handles sewn into the sides to help in moving it around.

After hearing bad reviews on the Sleep Number and Tempur-Pedic mattresses, I had no idea how to find the perfect mattress. After reading the reviews on this Casper Original Hybrid, I was cautiously optimistic because some people just didn't like it but many did. We've now had it for 4 months, and I can say that it really is like sleeping on a cloud. It is soft without being too soft. Still very supportive and I have no back or pain issues. Sink in (not too much) and say "ahhhh" every night. If you want a firm mattress, this is not the one for you. The Dreamcloud would be a better choice for firm (too firm for my taste). By the way, we purchased two twin XLs for a King sized bed and it's easier to handle the mattresses. No problem with the edges of the mattresses at the center like you would with traditional mattresses.

1. Tried for 2 full months. 2. Fully aired out; uncovered for 72 hours. Then removed covers everyday for 3 weeks. 3. Replaced an 18 yr old higher end Serta. Complaints: 1. Worst sleep of our lives. Have slept better at a Motel 6 (thought that was the bottom!) 2. Terrible for side and stomach sleepers. Wife developed debilitating shoulder pain over the past 1.5 months. 3. Just plain uncomfortable. 4. Could rarely sleep more than 5 hours; both of us would end up tossing and turning for another 2-3 hours trying to get "rest". 5. Weirdo dreams. Like Fever dreams. The first few weeks we attributed it to the smell of glue that was mildly persistent. This was the worst period. After that we got a waterproof cover to muffle the fumes. Dreams were not as bad, but still never really had good ram sleep. Positive: 1. Sleeping in one position on my back was good from a body ache perspective. No aches or pains. Improvement over our 18 yr old bed. However, turning to side or stomach did result in pain. I got about 5 good hours of dreamless sleep without pain. Then would lay in a twilight state...thinking about everyday crap. Casper has a great marketing dept. Do NOT fall for the hype.

OMG I never dreamed that this would be that good! Your partner can toss and turn and you won’t even know it! Not too hard and not too soft - firm with a little give.

I’m so glad I listened to my son and bought this mattress.. at first I had ordered a cheap one and my son convinced me that his bed is the beat and I will honestly say I am so happy that I bought this one instead.. worth the few extra dollars.. I’ve always had a sleeping disorder and now omg I don’t move once I get into bed .. absolutely the best sleep I’ve ever now .. you won’t regret this mattress I promise

This mattress is actually really nice overall. We also have a 2 inch latex topper on this mattress and a protective cover. It's super comfy and my first impressions are to recommend this a purchase for anybody looking for something new. Pros: Comfy Sleeps cool Good build quality Cons: Off gasses a bit for the first week (wash bedding every week to help remove smell) Decent but not great edge support Price is too expensive (and I got it on sale for like $1500) The only concern I have is that it holds up and doesn't say for the next 5-7 years hopefully 10 before needing to be replaced. We will rotate quarterly and hope it holds up longer than our 3 year old $900 Beautyrest coil mattress. Another reason we purchased this was because we were limited in options and the no interest Amazon payments options is a god send and will keep me purchasing items like this when times are tough and we need payment broken up into 5 or 12 payments.

Amazon CustomerReviewed in Canada on September 10, 2023

Hello, this is my first time writing a bad review about a product; regrettably, the experience is not even related to the quality of the mattress, which is good, but unfortunately, the firmness didn't let my wife adjust. She is waking up with pain in her shoulder every day. I tried contacting the seller not less than four times, and since August 26th, I have obtained zero answers from them. I was even thinking of exchanging it, but now I do not want to deal more with them. What is more frustrating about this is that I tried to return it and I got from Amazon a shipping return label; well, If I was returning a computer, that is Ok, but not, but I'm returning a queen mattress that came into a small box. The mattress expanded to a Queen-size object that, for obvious reasons, I won't be able to fit on the original box. I hope to receive a resolution soon about this matter, and after expending 2K on a mattress that I’m not satisfied with. @casper Sleep Customer support team, I hope you guys can improve the customer experience and that my case is isolated. Very frustrating so far dealing with your company.
