The TP-Link router is solid. Setup was straightforward, and it provides good coverage across the house. Connection stays stable and performs well. Overall, a reliable choice for home networking

Very good quality, adequate WiFi signal, easy to use and set up, and covered my small apartment very well. High power for WiFi. I didn't need something this powerful, but I thought that since I needed to buy a router anyway, it would be better to have something that can handle more for when I move elsewhere.

Purchased back in February 2023. I have alot of experience with electronics, PCs, phones, etc.,. I have had great routers in the past. I bought this for an upgrade to 6. From day one it was hard to setup, keep setup, use as intended and it drops out all on its own all the time. The interface is impossible to navigate, even for me. LAN4 either never worked or turned into a bad port all on its own. I contacted TP-Link support (my Asurion warrantee doesn't kick in until the manufacturers is over...and I should still have at 4 months left for Manufacturer warrantee since I purchased last February). After TP-Links numerous emails asking for photos, redundant information, all of which I supplied, thye sent me a kiss-off email saying they would not support my return for replacement due to a conflict on my ORDER RECEIPT. They said that my order was REFURBIASHED, so they would not cover it! It also says, NEW , on my reciept. They don't care. They told me to pound sand basically. Now I have to contact Asurion again and explain all this to them and also, AMAZON. Long story short, get an extended warrantee.

Purchased renewed unit. I noticed the actual set up might confuse a novice. Make sure the led lights are set to on. I logged on directly with a wired connection and a laptop. I was directed to the set up page after waiting a bit. Be patient. Once into the set up it's easy. The update was fast and easy as well. No issues with a few weeks of use. My only real gripe is the power cord is shorter than my previous router. Had to use an extention.

I typically feel safe getting referbs from Amazon seeing as they have the same return policy. This one could have had the instructions included, fortunately the manufacturer has a decent website. I had issues getting the 2.5GB WAN port to work with 1GB service, had to figure out the right order to power on the ONT vs the router. Once working, everything is going well. Had to move the router closer to the center of the house to get full coverage, I'd say 25' radius in a common sticks and bricks ranch + basement. Hardwired the primary streaming devices, and work laptops, to reduce the chances of data drops.

Got this to use with an upgraded Starry connection; only confusing part about the install was that you need to login to the router to get the MAC address from it, and not the label on the outside, to give to the ISP. Other than that detail, setup was pretty painless; has a decent set of controls for the WiFi. Cost-wise, it only cost me $20-30 to upgrade my PC to support WiFi-6E, and take full advantage of my ISP's connectivity. Something to note: older laptops and Macbooks don't play nicely with 160mhz bandwidth; you'll want to stick to 80mhz if something doesn't connect.
