One thing I have always hater about air fryers is that you kind of have to have faith in your timing and temps. Not anymore. Now you can see exactly what is going on inside your fryer! As many have said, you are supposed to leave the silicone stoppers on the tray. They will not burn. They are made out of the same material as silicone cupcake trays. This unit gets up to 400 degrees and the melt point for them is above that. I ran mine outside for about 20 minutes for 3 repetitions. This burnt off the factory smell. Which smells like various chemicals like plastic and electronics. After this I reheated some French fries and after that it smelled like whatever I put into it. The nice thing about the rubber stoppers is that they hold the tray in place when you pull the basket out to shake and/or flip your food. So, I've put burgers into it and then flipped them like a chef would in the pan. The same with French fries. Their smaller unit doesn't have these stoppers so if you do that it would also flip the tray around. When it is time to flip you don't cancel/stop the machine. You just pull the basket out and flip the food and then return it into the machine. It will then begin where it left off. One caveat is that if you kept pulling it out to flip at minute 3, before the entire minute is over, it will perpetually stay on minute 3. So it isn't keeping track of minutes + seconds when you flip the food, it just begins again at zero seconds for the minute you were on. The basket is huge. You can easily cook two big steaks in there. The 3.x quart unit used to do 3 breaded pork chops for me. This one does 7. And does them much quicker too. I cannot say enough how great it is to have the window to see the food. With this information and a couple of quick glances every few minutes you can gain information for future uses on how much time or temp is needed for different foods. Cleaning on all of their units is super easy. I use hot soapy water and a no scratch dish scrubber with a Teflon pad. Everything comes right off easy and no scratches.

I bought this air fryer for my fiance and we both love it. It does a great job air frying and cleans up easily.

Click to play video I purchased the Chefman TurboTouch Easy View 8-qt. Air Fryer. I absolutely love it! The easy-view window is awesome. The light stays on for a minute then goes out, but you can touch the time/temp symbol and it turns back on. So much better than pulling out the drawer for a peek and letting all the heat out. The programming is very simple and straight forward. The 8-qt might not be for everyone, but I have 9 grandchildren and frequently have 4 or 5 (or more!) at a time, and my little air-fryer was just too small. I will definitely be using this for cooking more than chicken nuggets and French fries. I purchased this through Amazon Warehouse Deals. The price for brand new is currently $110. This was $60, and was rated as used-very good. Out of the box it was pristine, not a scratch, and the inside looked as though it had never been cooked in, which was what I was a little worried about. It has that new appliance smell. The box however, was pieced together around the opening and down one side with a good bit of tape, and the styrofoam on top was cracked. I believe whoever had it first tore open the box and maybe thought it was too big for them and sent it back. I’ve purchased several things through the warehouse with great results. I’ve always purchased used-like new. This is my first experience with used-very good and I’m very impressed. This thing is really big.

This is my second air fryer. In my experience, they have been about equal in quality, ease of use, ease of cleaning and the food produced. Essentially, good machines that are worth buying. The only deficiency with this unit is the basket size. It is much smaller than my first machine. Don’t be fooled by the photos, showing a basket brimming with food, or even the maximum level imprinted on the inside of the basket. The reality is that most foods must be placed in single layers, which is a significant disadvantage with a basket as small as this one has. It has made cooking, even for two, a multi-step process that translates into much longer prep time. Aside from that deficiency, there is nothing bad to be said about the machine.

We were so excited to find this airfryer with a see through window, however disappointed on the design allowing the hot air circulating between the food and the plastic outer wall through the gaps of the cooking tray. This will make the outer plastic wall get hot very easily and the hot plastic smell go into the cooking food directly. We returned it without trying. We would like to buy it if the design changed to make the cooking tray either with no gaps like the older ones, or with gaps allowing better circulation but sitting in another outer tray with no gaps like most of other newer airfryers.

Great air fryer, with many options. It doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter and is the perfect size for our RV. I recommend this project.

Great option for cooking healthy meals. The only downside I have founded so far and it is cooking with any air fryer and that is it dries out the bread when making grilled cheese. Makes great bread crumbs and crutons though. I think I need to use a different type of bread for sandwiches and not just sliced white bread. Great french fries and potato wedges and I even made super scalloped potatoes. So Yummy! I have made stuffed tomatoes with parmesean cheese and they were incredible. The recipes are endless. This model has very even cooking which I like and so easy to use. My favourite feature is the large window in the front of the unit. You can see the progress without opening the drawer. The size of the drawer is excellent for family cooking. Worth every penny. My next recipe will be garlic shrimp. Can't wait. Bon Apetit! Thank you for such a great product!
