Great back saving product but read first! This item is not intended for use with most training wheels. The metal below the bolt holes is long and will not mount flush with the training wheel brackets. However, I have a grinder and was able to grind off the extra metal(see photo). Product works perfectly and I don't dread taking my daughter out on her bike. Am able to push her and a stroller uphill at the same time.

I'm 6,4" so trying to run while bending over to hold my kid's bicycle seat was impossible. Her bike seat was on a rectangular post so I couldn't use the other handle I saw on Amazon that attaches below the seat. Install was easy, just take off the nuts holding the training wheels, remove the training wheels, put this on in their place, and re-screw the nuts. Maybe 5 minutes at most for the whole thing. It does rotate a bit back and forth when installed, even when very tight, but side to side it's very solid and that's what counts. The handle has a comfortable soft foam/rubber grip and the bar is sturdy enough that even when my kid leaned way too far over, I could stop the bike from falling. Most importantly, I could run next to the bike at my full height so I didn't have to tap out after 10 minutes because my back was spasaming. She was riding in about 30 minutes, after over a year of start-and-stop attempts with me. For the price and universal compatibility with any bike, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I mounted the handle into the frame where the training wheels attach, its fairly loose but it works to stabilize the kid. It was easy to assemble and remove.

We have been working on teaching my son to ride with no training wheels and he was making some success but still had a ways to go. It was hard to hold his back, run, and help control his balance all at the same time. I saw this product on a Facebook group and decided saving my back was worth try. Man this thing is a game changer, not only did it help with helping control my son, it made it easier on my back. Within 15 minutes of using this my autistic child was riding his bike by himself with no more training wheels! I think it might be the best 27 dollars I’ve spent on Amazon! Parents get this and you won’t regret it.

I really wanted to give this product 5 stars, but I had to take away two for two reasons: 1) Not compatible for all bikes with training wheels. Some extra nuts and bolts should come with it. 2) It is only a handle bar it does not help your child steer the bike. Your child must know how to steer properly still. This is just extra equipment to make your child feel safe while learning to ride a bike.

This bar attaches to the back wheels and is absolutely invaluable in helping teach how to ride solo. We struggled for quite some time, and my back became very soar leaning down to hold the seat to balance them. I bought this bar, and within one day, both girls learned how to ride solo without training wheels.

Way too short. I’m 5’10 and I have to bend down to grab it. Not the same as the picture.

I’ve never written an Amazon review. My 7 year old struggled to ditch her training wheels. She would become overly anxious and panic each time she swayed. This handle did the trick. She was on her own on the first day we tried it. Admittedly, she had a bumpy start on day two. By day three, she was riding and turning with ease. We will be keeping the handle on a little longer until she masters starting the bike on her own. She’s almost there, and we will then be passing this along to a neighbor. The bolt on the handle does loosen a bit with use. By the time ours loosened, my daughter no longer needed it for balance. The metal cover that goes over her front wheel loosened around the same time. These things happen with bolts and are easily fixed. I could not be happier with this product. Total game changer!!

Works a treat. Great way to help your kids develop balance and confidence whilst trying to learn how to ride a bike

it was a great idea but to our disappointment, we sew off our kid’s bicycle casing protecting the gears to fit it in yet, despite tightening the screws, it would still move and the bicycle chain came off like every 3 pedals i’m not very tall and already i have to bend to hold on even when my handle is extended longest would have given this product 1/5 for usability but added a star because i really thought this idea was viable

Aún apretando mucho las tuercas, se sigue moviendo arriba y abajo. Hay que ajustarlo a cada rato.

Appears to be an excellent product - the other reviews will tell you that. I'm 6 ft tall, and as you can see it's a great height for my 1.5yo... on the most extended setting. Mr 3.5yo on his 12" bike for reference. Too short for us.
