I have always had at least one dog and I'm used to coping with some dog hair, but I've never allowed dogs on the furniture and I also think that my dogs all had hair that was fairly easy to remove. Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last "not on furniture" dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol' American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara's hair is like nothing I've seen before... once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets ... they all leave a lot behind. Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits' end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can't sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others' pants. Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I've tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber... maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!! In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara's hair (it gets our other dog's "easy hair" on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable! Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again! The only downsides that I can see are: - Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes. - The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a "me" problem.) - The chom chom is 7.5" wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they're being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker's car to lunch during the workday.) BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.

I can't believe I forgot to rate this before now! BUY IT!!!! You won't regret it!! If you have any pets, it is a life changer! Seriously! It has saved me so much time and works like a charm!! What used to take me forever to vacuum hair off of patio furniture and my couches and then use sticky rollers, lots of them to get what vacuum couldn't, now takes just a few minutes!! It even works on lamp shades, and table runners or tablecloths!! If the surface is too flat, it won't work so just put something under it, for example, I have a table runner and my cat would always get on the table and lay there despite my best efforts! I would have to use sticky rollers, many many sticky sheets to get the hair off before throwing it in the washer. This roller gets it off within seconds!! I'll just put a towel under to give it lift or lay it on my couch, something less flat or rigid. My mother in law is even more of a clean freak than I am and very particular about how she cleans. I bought her one as well, not knowing if she would use it or not. She called me and just raved on and on about how much she loves it!! She has pretty severe arthritis in her hands and this is very easy for her to use! I also bought one for my daughter, especially since she had a baby and has dogs, AND a WHITE couch!! She's either brave or crazy 🤣 but it has worked well for everyone I bought one for! If you have pet hair, this is a game changer and I've used it for almost a year so far and it still amazes me of how well it works! You won't be disappointed! Also, just a little advice. Since you can't get it wet, I have taken a barely damp paper towel to wipe off the parts that are exposed because I've used mine indoors and on my screened in patio. With the patio being exposed to dirt and dust (desert Southwest) my patio furniture gets dirty and then I forgot to wipe down the roller and got dirt all over my black skirt when I used it on myself, oops 😬!! Just wiped it off and it was fine but will be getting another one to use for outdoors and then one for indoors. Definitely worth the money plus if you use sticky rollers all the time, you'll be saving a lot of money and less trash thrown into landfills! It's really a win win, great product!!!

I have a Pit Bull Terrier and Shepherd Mix, along with a Tabby cat, and let me tell you, the insane amount of hair they both leave is crazzyy! It gets all my other blankets, bed sheets, and pillows. I have been on a lengthy journey to find and obtain a pet removal device that actually does what it says... I had seen the Chom Chom going viral a while back, and I thought, "Wow, this is the product I need! I have to buy it now!". I saw the price and eagerly backed away. However, years later, I caved in and bought it. Once I got it and used it for the first time, the price did NOT matter to me anymore, and I would buy more if I ever lost it or if I ever broke it. That's how AMAZING this thing works. The size is not too small or not too big, but big enough to cover a decent amount of surface. There's no residue, it keeps my fabric safe, and it does not damage clothes either! It's also a lifesaver when it comes to tidying up before guests come over. In short terms, if you have multiple shedding pets, this is what you need ASAP!

Where has this been all my life?! I have a lab x staffy who sheds so much that I wonder how he isn’t bald. This just entirely got the fur off my bedding and couch in 5 minutes flat with no effort, a job that normally takes double the time with the vacuum and still leaves a lot of fur behind, or needing to go through an entire roll of a sticky lint roller. I was hesitant due to the cost, but I’m amazed it’s totally worth it. No complaints, 10 stars if I could.

It's the best pet fur remover I've used to date and definitely picks up fur remarkably well. Word of caution to anyone with pain or weakness in their arms that it takes time and repetitive physical effort to complete the amount of passes it takes to clean thoroughly. I'm unsure if they offer a smaller version for clothes but that would be grand, as I find it very awkward to use on clothes (especially when on) as you must move the roller back and forth in order for it to pick the fur up. I recommend putting clothing on an ironing board and pulling the fabric taut so it doesn't flop around while rolling. I find the placement of the button for opening the fur collection compartment aggravating, as due to the placement of it, I constantly pop the lid off while using it. My hands are the size of my 11 y.o. child's, so I can't imagine how annoying it would be if I had larger hands. If Chom Chom rollers were $20-$25 and had a smaller, I'd gladly buy several for car, office, home, etc. Would love to see Chom Chom come up with a vacuum attachment. THAT would be well worth $40+, as adding in suction of a vacuum to a product like this would be the perfect pet hair removal device!
