Great hat. Takes some getting used to. But the ear muffs actually work as ear warmers too!! It fits well stays on your head. Only problem I have found is I have some rather large safety glasses it will push down on those but with just normal everyday glasses it's fine

Very comfortable and useful hard hat. It is highly adjustable and very light on the head. I didn't get any accessories, but they might be nice to have with it. For when you need to protect the noggin, it proves to be very good at what it does. The only thing I could say negative is the height it sits off the head, it sits pretty high. I feel like the support straps could let it sit lower and still have plenty of room off the top for clearance. Very satisfied with it otherwise.

I recently got the SAFEBUILDER Construction Hard Hats, and they're exactly what I needed for my job site. The adjustable ventilation is a game-changer, keeping me cool even in the summer heat. The reflective ABS material makes me feel safer, especially when working near traffic or in low-light conditions. The fact that they're ANSI Z89.1 certified gives me peace of mind, knowing they meet safety standards. The added reflective sticker is a nice added safety feature. They are comfortable and durable.

I know this is usually a hard hat for construction work... but it actually works great for my daughter as a helmet for the electric scooter. I certainly feel much safer having her in this than a usual bike helmet. Fits great and easy to adjust.

At first glance, this Safebuilder hard hat looks very similar to models by Kask, MSA and Klein, which are all Type II helmets. However, it's important to note that the product description lists this hard hat as compliant with ANSI Z90.1-2014 *Type I* standards. Type I hard hats protect primarily against falling objects striking the top of the head. Type II helmets are supposed to protect against top, side and back impacts, as well as penetration. It isn't necessarily a problem that this hard hat is only Type I rated, except that people should be aware of what they are getting since it *looks* like a Type II helmet and includes a chin strap. If your jobsite requires Type II protection, this hard hat may not meet those requirements. That being said, I've been wearing this hard hat for the past couple of weeks, and it's done an adequate job protecting my noggin from various bumps and scrapes. Pros: - Operable vents are nice - you can close them if you're in an environment with a lot of dust or debris, and open them when you want more ventilation - Chin strap is removable - Reflective stickers come on a separate sheet - so you can choose whether to apply the logos, or not - No brim, which is nice if you plan on using it with a headlamp (I was able to attach a headlamp using standard clips, which you can get on Amazon) Cons: - This hard hat feels doesn't feel like it grips my head quite as well as other helmets I've used. To be fair, I've worn this hard hat during several days manuvering in some tight spaces, and it never once came off my head, even after knocking my head against joists on several occasions. It just doesn't feel quite like the suspension is hugging my head like I'm used to. - The hard hat feels like it rides a bit high on my head. I prefer helmets that sit a little lower, so I tried following the included instructions to adjust the suspension vertically. This required popping out 4 pins that connect the headband to the suspension, but they were so tight that in the process of adjusting them, they got deformed (see photos). My suggestion is to leave the vertical adjustment alone. - Shell is made out of ABS, which feels more brittle than the HDPE shells I'm used to. Not sure what the data shows, but ABS feels like it would be more likely to crack or shatter on impact compared to HDPE, which feels more ductile. In summary, I'm satisfied with this hard hat for light work, but I don't love the way the suspension feels and I'm not sure how confident I'd be in it protecting me from a really big hit, like a piece of steel falling from a second story.

This hard hat came just as described and just as pictured. It is easy to adjust for comfort and the vents definitely help keep your head from overheating. The color assortment is nice and the price is decently economical. It arrived quickly, well packaged, and truly was exactly what I was looking for. It isn't too heavy, but it definitely will do the job and does seem up to the standards that it claims to be. I recommend these hard hats and will likely buy others as the need arrives for my crew.

I ordered this safety helmet to protect my head while I'm mowing the grass. Some of the branches in my cacao orchard are kind of low, and they sneak up on me when I'm on my riding mower, and I got tired of getting bumps and scrapes. Yes, I could trim the offending branches, but they have almost-ripe cacao pods on them. I will trim after harvest is done. I like this helmet because of the color (bright greenish yellow) and light weight. The internal support straps are lightweight but strong; I was unable to make any sense of the instructions that claimed the straps could be adjusted. As far as I can tell (and I have a pretty good mechanical aptitude) the hat suspension straps cannot be adjusted; the hat will always ride relatively high up above my head. The hat band can be adjusted easily with a thumbwheel, and it's comfortable to wear. The chin strap adjustment works well enough, but I'm not sure I like wearing the strap on my chin. Will take some getting used to. For the price and utility, I think I could recommend this hard hat with no reservations, for light use. I'm pleased with it.

This helmet feels to be durable and made with quality materials. It fits well and can be adjusted to fit your needs. The helmet fits well. It is comfortable for long wear and while providing protection. The bright yellow/green color is easily seen in case of an emergency and may help save a life. We highly recommend this helmet and recommend it to others.
