I love George Strait, and there song that he sings I love this album! I highly recommend that you run out and buy it today or order it from Amazon and it can be delivered to your front door! Is the country music stars want to sing Popmusic that you can’t understand a word they say, They need to stay off the country music stations in the grand Ole library! This is the first album from George since I lost my mother. In the last 25 years of her live since she was introduced to his music during the first of 21 holidays in the U.S.A. in 1996 George was her number one. Over the 25 years she bought all the studio, live albums 2 dvd's and several greatest hits collection totaling 41. This would have been the 42nd. This new album would have been the perfect gift for her 100th birthday on November 17th of this year. I am pretty sure she would have loved it. It is an eerily perfect album from the opening track "Three drinks behind" to the last track it is a blast. I kept on playing it over and over again, mean while regretting it that she would never hear this. George proofs that he is a class act with his touching tribute to Keith Gattis. Not in the notes but on the record itself, there for eternity for all who will ever listen to "Rent" And maybe I read too much into it but after hearing "MIA down in MIA" I could not escape the thought that this was a tribute to Jimmy Buffett, the song breathes Jimmy with the laidback style in which George performs this song. George is still the king 3 drinks ahead of all of us. This is country music as it should be and this album deserves to be a muti million seller, it probably will not sell that much and that is a miss for those who ignore it.

How many guys have been with the same label for their entire career? How many guys use a real string section? There’s a ton of those how many guys questions when you start thinking about George Strait. I've been a fan since Blue Neon and I don’t know how he keeps turning out these great albums, and he still sings in the same range! Strait can sing the fast and fun songs with the best in the biz (Honky Tonk Hall of Fame), but it’s the ballads (Rent) where he can tear the beating heart out of you and crush it - all without resorting to a ton of reverb and a driving country-rock beat. He’s the A Number One story teller in country music. His tragedies, losses, faith, lived experience, and the joy of being alive are all in there, in the tone of his voice (The Journey of Your Life). His way around words and those high notes just go right to your soul. What a gift. Gosh darn it I love the guy.

There is not a bad song on this newest George Strait album. Some are bouncy and so cleverly written, others are close to bringing tears in their melancholy and heartfelt way that only King George can deliver. He still has "it", and this one is another masterpiece.

Haven't listen to it yet but come on, this is George Strait. All of his albums are good. Love King George.

Le gentil cowboys est de retour avec ce super album. De très belles chansons, de la très belle musique. Georges ne s'est jamais éloigné de la pure country. Je le suis depuis presque trente années et jamais déçu. Malgré les années tout tourne bien et on ne ce lasse pas de l'écouter. Difficile d'ignorer cet opus quand on est fan de cet artiste, même en écoute en boucle on en redemande encore, car tous les titres sont parfait, le son est nickel. En écoutant Georges vous mettez les pieds dans la pure country traditionnelle, et cela reste la meilleure. Bonne écoute à tous. Merci Georges.
