"Crochet Stitch Dictionary" is an essential resource for both novice and seasoned crocheters, packed with 200 beautifully illustrated stitches that inspire creativity and elevate your crafting skills. The vibrant "candy-box" sampler pages at the beginning of each section instantly catch the eye, setting the tone for an exciting journey through diverse techniques. I especially appreciated the organization of stitches into ten color-coded categories, from Basic stitches to intricate Tunisian techniques, which makes it easy to find exactly what you're looking for, whether you're starting a new project or seeking to expand your repertoire. Each stitch pattern is thoughtfully presented with not just detailed written instructions, but also charted and photographed step-by-step guides, ensuring clarity for every skill level. The large, finished swatches allow you to visualize the results, while the comprehensive instructions on each step of the process make mastering new techniques accessible and enjoyable. "Crochet Stitch Dictionary" is more than just a reference book—it's a source of inspiration that invites crocheters to experiment and create with confidence, making it a wonderful gift for anyone looking to enhance their crochet experience!

This is a book that's impressed me. Im a Knitter first . Yet, I love crochet also. I needed some stitch ideas . The color photos in front show every stitch in book, but then are shown enlarged with suggestions for best uses , as well as separate photos showing the stitch being done , charts & written . Starts from Most basic onwards. I feel this book is one that won't sit collecting dust . It's valuable for beginners with instructions for basic stitches & refreshers for those returning, lots of modern & traditional stitches for reference for experienced looking for a new idea . The book is a pleasure to look at and easy to follow. Very thoughtful layout

I have a stitch dictionary that I bought years ago. I don't even know where it is---it is useless. Poor directions for even the simplest stitches. So I was a bit leery of this one. Oh, happy days! The stitch directions are clear, and the diagrams are easily read. The photos of each stitch are absolutely beautiful, too. Can you tell I love this book? I highly recommend it to anyone who crochets. It's great!!

Okay, in all honesty, I skipped over the early sections straight to the stitches as I know how to hold a hook and choose yarn, etc but the book's so thorough and good I'll probably go back to it at some point. Happily found a lot of new patterns in the stitches which include stitch counts, charts, and step by step photos to help you get started! Yes, on each and every one of the 200 stitch patterns! All in one book! Amazing! Thank you Sarah Hazell for putting this all together in such a complete way, even the patterns using beads and sequins. 🙄 Some say I already have too much yarn, can't imagine adding beads or sequins to the inventory, LOL! Right now it's an elibrary loan (I've learned the hard way about pattern books which turn out to be mostly useless) but this one will definitely be a future purchase, and soon! Highly recommended if you're so inclined! ****Sorry, just found out this book's been out since 2013! Old news for you but better late than never for me! 🤓 ****

I loved the book design and also the crochet graphics. It's a beautiful and useful book for those who love to crochet. Some very exclusive stichtes but some very common too. It worths the price.

The book makes really good reference material. The stitches are both described step by step, and diagrammed. Lots of pictures. I've been crocheting for 40 years and there are new things in there for me to learn and try. This would make a great gift for someone who crochets, whether they are new to it or have been doing it for years.
