This is my favorite pan by far. The wide opening and 3 quart capacity are perfect for saucepan applications. I like it so much I have an extra, unopened, just in case they discontinue it, though it's been years on this pan (maybe a decade or more - I'm retired and time flies) and the nonstick coating seems to be sturdy even in the hands of my slightly irresponsible housemate who has cooked it dry once or twice. Lid works great, handle does not get hot, just a really really good workaday saucepan.

This is a new addition to my cookware. I love the size because it can be used in many ways. Good for chili and stews as well as boiling large veggies. And so many other things. I do replace the nonstick hard anodized pans occasionally, like after 5 years or so, especially if it used every day. But it is worth it's weight in gold.

Best pan I ever bought

The only limitation this pan has is that it's not dishwasher safe. It's the perfect size to prepare meals for one to four, cooks evenly and retains heat vey well. The weight is easy to manage even when the pan holds heavy soups ans sauces. The glass lid makes it easy to keep an eye on the progress of your dish. Last, the non-stick surface is very easys to clean by hand. All around great chef's pan.

2015: bought this pan to replace my calphalon 2.5 qt shallow saucepan, which has started to have the non-stick coating flake off. IN all truth, the Calphalon pan has held up like a trooper, because I'm single and I cook a lot of "one pot meals." It's spent the bulk of its life sitting on top of my stove. I just received the Cuisinart 3-quart pan and so far I really love it. A tad bit larger than the Calphalon, and the rounded corners make it easy to stir and flip food in the pan, but with a nice sized flat bottom that just fits my largest burner on the stove. And nothing sticks, so I can usually just wipe it out and use it again. I like the feel of the Cuisinart handles and this handle one did not get hot, despite my slow frying some sliced potatoes and garlic last evening for quite a while. It heats quickly and while the pan is not heavy, it's not super light either. I think it's just right. Here's hoping for along life for this pan because I know I'm going to use it a whole lot. Update: 2024: I’m still using this pan. A few scratches in the non-stick coating—-but 9 years down the road since I bought it in 2015, how could I complain? It’s still my “go-to” pan!

I have a number of Cuisinart Classic Hard Anodized pans, and appreciate all of them. The nonstick is very good, they are a lighter weight than my older pans, which is what I need nowadays, and they hold up well even at higher heat than is recommended. And therein lies a tale. I have found that, for whatever reason (the hardness of Chicago water?), it can be difficult to remove oily film from these pans. Some have suggested boiling vinegar in them, but that only sort of works for me. What does work well for me is soaking them for awhile in warm, soapy water. Well, one day the water from the faucet was taking too long to heat, and being impatient, I filled this pan with soapy water and put it on the stove to heat (yeah, I know, idiot move). Just for a minute, I thought! Then I was called away into another room and, you guessed it, FORGOT ABOUT THE PAN ON THE STOVE! Several hours later, I wandered into the kitchen, drawn by a peculiar odor. Well, the water and suds had completely boiled away, the pan was hot as Hades, and covered with charcrusted . . . stuff. Gotta get a new pan, right? Wrong! After the pan cooled, I washed it out with a soft scrubber made for nonstick pans--the sides took the longest to clean, but within about 15 minutes, the pan was as good as new! I am still using it, and it still in great shape. This is an all-out Cuisinart Classic fan letter.

Was switching my old sauce pan with a new non-stick pan. Was looking at sauce pans but bought this chef's pan instead. I am glad I did. I use it in place of my sauce pans and it works very well for me. I use it to make chili, gravies, soups, etc. It heats nicely on my electric, glass top stove. I would recommend, as it is a good multi-use pan. Cleans up nicely too.

A favorite model in my kitchen. Light weight, heats up and cools down fast, excellent stick free surface. I can easily sear beef on medium heat. (gas stove) Pretty much the opposite of cast iron. ((;

I am very happy with this pan and would recommend it. It’s not too big and not too small, just right. Food doesn’t stick to it. It washes so easily.

Very versatile piece of cookware, thanks to its shape and depth. Not heavy and so I like to use it frequently and extensively for many fast parboiling of soup, sauté, deep frying, steaming, stewing. Nothing I can imagine that it cannot handle. I use metal spoon & metal ladle in this but it show small tiny scratch hairline but coating won’t peel off.

The item arrived on time and was packaged well. The Wok was well made, sturdy and had a very expensive feel to it. The only bad thing I can say about it is that the metal handle should have been a little bit thicker so that you could have a better grip when lifting the wok. Overall the wok was just the right size for me and I would highly recommend this item.
