This processor is the highest rated for a reason. Quality product that should last for years. I wanted a different color but the wait time was over a month so I settled on the brushed silver.

I use this almost everyday. It makes very good mayonaisse - (1 c oil, 1 egg &c.). Sliced tomatos do not come out as shown on TV. I got a 2mm slicing disk to make potato chips and coleslaw. I don't miss the extra features on my Breville Sous Chef which broke, was replaced since it was still under warranty, and the replacement broke again in about the same qmount of time (bad switch both times, I believe).

Did not work and is a hassle to return. Would like to have given it 0 stars.

Be prepared to watch a youtube video about how to set this up. The manual instructions are not good. One of the biggest hurdles is that they package the feed tube inside the lid in the opposite direction that it needs to go to get the machine to turn on. Otherwise, it's a great machine.

Received 2 processors in error and was charged for both! One was hard to use. The second one worked fine but it was a nightmare packing and unpacking both processors so that I could return one. So heavy, I had to get help !

This is a food processor at its simplest. It is also easy to use and excellent at chopping and dicing vegetables. The base is heavy and sturdy, and the motor is quiet and powerful. I am happy I got this model.

This food processor has a quiet operation, it does not wake up my baby while I used it and I don't need to wear earplugs like with my previous food processor which I still have and will be donating. It processes the food in just a few pulses. I rarely used my previous food processor, maybe once every 3 months, basically only when I wanted to make falafel. Now I use my new machine every day for almost everything. I cut the garlic and onion with it every time. My vegetables for salads too. I'll even use it if I only need to cut a few tomatoes or cucumbers. I rather clean the processor than the wooden cutting board. Using this processor is super simple. I was hesitant to buy at first because I read that it was difficult to use, but that is NOT the case. I find it very easy to use and the lid and blades fit nicely how they are supposed to fit. It doesn't take any time to get used to it. Cleaning this machine is not difficult either. Honestly, I always hand wash because I use it so often that I don't want it to sit dirty in the dishwasher. I just spray rinse the bowl, lid and the blades, shake the water off and put it back on the base until I use it again. I haven't used the dishwasher for this yet, but I'm assuming it would be very simple too. I generally don't write long reviews but this processor is worth it.

After my old KitchenAid 20+ yr old processor’s bowl finally disintegrated in the dishwasher, and because small appliance manufacturers need to focus on providing lifetime parts on heavy duty small appliances (are you listening Whirlpool corporation?) it was time to get a new food processor that was powerful, simple, and dishwasher safe (Breville food processor bowls and other parts are not dishwasher safe - check it for yourself). Cuisinart wins! You don’t need anything more attachment-wise than it comes with: S-blade, 4mm slice, medium shred disk. Because I’ve used a food processor for over 25 years I might consider getting the fine shredding disk. The unit is heavy. It has rubber feet that stick to the counter, and it is simple lines with no nooks and crannies and it’s easy to clean. It’s a square sturdy square base, with no unnecessary design design quirks or trends, embellishments or decorations. Its a box with a bowl on top that is easy to put together and clean. Those are the the features you want - if you want pretty and flashy, go buy a prom dress and see how easy that is to keep clean. There is one issue to consider for this (and perhaps the “classic” series models and is my only issue that is currently with Cuisinart Customer Service. When the unit was delivered “an Amazon open box with cosmetic damage not affecting operation” (which is exactly what I wanted. I do not care how it looks, I care that it works), and upon first inspection (it actually looked absolutely brand new it was even in the original packaging). Upon first use, I discovered the issue. The cosmetic blemish was on the work ball lid, and actually wasn’t cosmetic at all. What seems to be the problem is the flange that locks the lid to the bowl is actually quite a small part, and if you get frustrated or something gets stuck and you decide the best way to fix would be to get your husband to do it, hit it with a hammer yourself, or throw it against the wall (because you’ve never done that before and it looks good in movies). Careful, considerate use (and thoroughly reading the included instruction manual of any appliance warns you about such things) and to me, it looks like at some point someone tried to force the lid shut against the bowl and discovered all to late the manual wasn’t lying (you were the one lying because you’ve never used a food processor before? HAVE YOU?) and if you have to force the lid shut, you’re doing something wrong, you are frustrated and you know what happens when you get frustrated! Now the brand new food processor is busted and you have no one to blame but yourself and this time you weren’t even drinking. You you have no small children and the irresponsible teenager went to College last fall. With a heavy sigh. you come to the conclusion that, finally the time has come for you to really try to take the time to be more careful because there is nothing else left to blame and your stories are becoming very questionable … OR … you could return this food processor to Amazon tell them that it’s a cosmetic damage and have it re-sold to let somebody else has to deal with the problem. Tell your spouse it didn’t work when you opened the box - and you sent it back to Amazon (grumble grumble). No one will ever know. You’ve been naughty again, haven’t you? VERY naughty. Oh well, its a lid, not a kidney transplant - so I’m hoping the lid issue can be resolved soon because the unit is fantastic, Cuisinart us best in class for small appliances and I need to get some cooking done!

We have tried all sorts of food processors over the years because we prepare a large volume of food in our house every week. For a long time we used a cheap $30 processor that did the job, but was very noisy. When it finally died this week, we picked up a Black & Decker processor for around $90. It worked okay, but it made a terrible screaming noise. So we finally tried this much more expensive 14-cup Cuisinart model, and it is amazing. It does the job beautifully, and it is unbelievably quiet. Definitely worth the money for its operational quality and quiet.
