Great quality camera. Use it for lots of random little tasks where I don’t want to set up my full size cam. Onboard storage is fantastic too, if you’re shooting often or making longer videos you’ll definitely want an SD card, but for my purposes it saves me a few bucks. Battery life is solid, the controls are easy to use, and the video quality is great even at night. The timelapse mode is a bit unintuitive but once you figure it out, you’re golden. The app sucks, definitely the worst app I’ve used to transfer videos. I’m on iOS, it might be better on android, but Sony’s app and Insta360’s app both work fine. This app has some bizarre issue where file transfer just doesn’t work the first few attempts, and it really doesn’t like it when you have cellular data on while connected to the camera via WiFi. Definitely a skill issue on the developer’s part as it’s not an iOS limitation.

I took the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro on a weekend trip to Chicago’s Loop, and it didn’t disappoint. From recording the city lights at night to stabilizing footage while walking through the busy streets, this camera handled it all. Walking along State Street, I wanted to capture the rush of people, the bright billboards, and the city’s energy. The low-light performance was solid—the 1/1.3” sensor really made a difference in keeping details sharp even in dim lighting. On my way to Chicago, I filmed while driving at 80 mph, and the stabilization kept everything smooth with no weird jitters. Pros: Great low-light performance: Captured Chicago’s skyline at night without grainy mess. Stabilization is on point: Even at high speeds, the footage stayed smooth. Battery life is a lifesaver: Filmed all day, swapped batteries easily, no stress. With the extra battery pack, you can film all day without interruption: the only thing you’ll need is more memory storage. Dual screens are useful: Flipping to the front screen for quick vlogs made things easier. Cons: DJI Mimo app isn’t on Google Play: You have to sideload it, which is annoying. Audio is okay, but could be better: If you’re serious about vlogging, get an external mic. If you’re traveling or looking for a solid action camera, this is a great pick. It handled The Loop, nighttime shots, and high-speed movement like a pro. Definitely worth it for anyone who needs a compact but powerful camera for capturing life on the go.

I've been using the original DJI Osmo Action since 2019, and it's been such a reliable camera that I hadn't felt the need to upgrade. However, the Osmo Action 5 Pro release finally convinced me, and I'm glad it did. The most immediately noticeable difference is the jump in image quality. The new sensor captures remarkable detail, and the 4K video at 120fps is incredibly smooth. The improved low-light performance is a huge benefit, primarily since I often shoot in less-than-ideal lighting. The color rendition is also more accurate and vibrant, and the wider dynamic range is a definite plus. The option for 4:3 capture provides greater flexibility in post-production, which I appreciate. RockSteady 3.0 is a significant step up from the stabilization of the original Osmo Action. It effectively eliminates even the most jarring movements, resulting in incredibly smooth and professional-looking footage. The dual touchscreens are a fantastic addition, making framing and adjusting settings much easier, especially when self-recording. The build quality remains robust, just like my original Osmo Action. I've used it in various conditions, including white water rafting and kayaking, and it's held up perfectly. The battery life is also a noticeable improvement, addressing one of my few complaints about the first generation. The DJI Mimo app is functional, but there's still room for improvement in user experience and feature set.

I just bought it. My first impression is that it is excellent!!! The DJI app is super-efficient and makes it much easier to use. In my case, two parts were missing. It comes with the charger cable, the manuals, a case to protect it and I separately bought a silicone protection for the main light, also a protection for both screens. The image quality is impressive, it records in its natural color but with its "recover color" mode it is impressive how it highlights the colors and heyy, it records directly live on Facebook and YouTube with the app. I connected it to the DJI app and used it watching what I recorded on my phone, it is extraordinary. The wide angle records very well and the ultra wide angle is incredible, the video quality is maintained. One thing I noticed is that it does get a little hot but nothing out of the ordinary, especially when recording in 4k, it records a little more than 5 hours!!! The quick mode switch button makes it very easy to switch from photo to video among other options that can be selected, I am more than satisfied. I will try it in different environments, for now I recommend it 100%. Also, with the DJI app you can download videos and photos and make edited videos in the app. I am going to buy a diving case and I will try it. I think that it has a better resolution than the GoPro, but it is up to each person, I am satisfied.

La cámara llego antes y con todo completo, la he usado por un mes. La he probado bajo el agua y no he tenido problemas. El modo nocturno funciona bien aunque no estabiliza como en modo de video regular, el audio es bueno, la batería dura lo que promete, el almacenamiento interno es un gran extra. El único contra es su software, es complicado y bastante básico en cuanto a lo que ofrece (aún así he exportado correctamente a mi android). En general la recomiendo.
