UPDATE 3/23/2021 I've been through 3 rolls and buying my 4th. This has become my go-to PETG brand. I have performed small tweaks here and there but overall I have never had major issues with the print quality. 99% of the time the prints come out fine or near perfect. The handful of times I have had issues have been user error. I most definitely will continue buying this brand. I have only used white so far for the sake of consistency. I will probably try other colors eventually but even if they don't turn out as well, keep in mind that some colors do need some print profile tweaking and that no matter the manufacturer there will probably be bad batch of a bad spool. I only have about 4 months of 3D printing experience and this is my first time using PETG. Had heard about how difficult it is to get it to print settings right, issues with bed adhesion, stringing, etc. Let me say that as a total noob that yes, I encountered all those issues but with the amount of resources available online I was able to get them all fixed. First issues was adhesion on a PEI bed. I had read plenty of stories of PETG not wanting to stick to it but I didn't have this problem. Even though the rule of thumb is the PETG does not like to be squished like PLA, which I wasn't, I did have to lower it quite abut before I adhered to the bed properly. Next, make sure that regardless of the print bed material, wash it thoroughly with Dawn and hot water. Not a quickie scrub and rinse, but taking your time. Any contaminants can make PETG adhere more strongly to the print bed. The one thing I found out on a Prusa site is that switching directly from PLA to PETG without washing the surface can cause it to stick a lot stronger due to the sugar and starch residue from PLA. So let me repeat it: If switching materials, WASH THE PRINT BED WITH DAWN AND HOT WATER. Afterwards clean the printbed, especially PEI with IPA or denatured alcohol in between prints. After the alcohol apply a liberal amount of Windex and wipe it down with a paper towel. Don't wipe all the Windex, just leave a wet film on the print bed and heat it up to dry it. The alcohol will clean the surface from hand oil residues left over and the Windex will provide a thin film that will prevent the PETG from bonding to the bed. If you want to take it a step further then you can put a very light coat of talc on the bed. It should not be noticeable, just a very light haze. I let the print bed cool to room temp for a couple of hours before trying to remove it. Sometimes it would come right off and other times the print was stuck pretty solidly to the PEI bed but after putting it into the freezer for about an 15 minutes to an hour it just came off as if the print was just placed on the print bed. I had previously only used Windex but it still required a bit of elbow grease to get the part off the bed. Either way it's a good precaution to keep a print from fusing to the print bed since I can imagine different brands might have different levels of adhesion. On a stock Ender 3 I got my best results using 240 Nozzle and 80 bed. Keep the fan off for the first few layers to allow it to properly adhere to the bed and then use a max fax temp of 50%. I had some stringing issues with the retraction settings of 2mm distance and 40mm speed. After increasing the distance to 3mm nearly all the stringing was gone except for some very thin wispy strings like spiderwebs you can wipe away or use a heat gun or torch on. Finally, slow down your print speeds. I had to slow it down to about 20-25mm to get good quality and adhesion. Take your time and you can do really well. I know many have complained about PETG and there is no doubt that there is a difference between different brands so take the time to learn the particular quirks of each one instead of assuming they are all the same and leaving a bad review that only says "This filament sucks!" with no details about your printer, settings, or even a pic of the problem. One thing I have learned and always keep in mind is that no matter how much experience you have with something you should never assume that there is nothing to left to learn.

This review is for Duramic PETG blue. Came packaged as good as any filament I've gotten. Unwraps to extruder nicely so far. Now, I am new to printing, 3 weeks in, and this is my first try at PETG, so I still have a lot to learn. Also my first try at leaving a review. So here goes. Anycubic Kobra Neo(direct extruder) .5mm hardened steel nozzle,.2mm layers. Had a very hard time with this filament at first because I was rushing it. Half the print would stick, half not. Nozzle would get all wrapped in melted filament which grabbed anything it passed over, creating a big mess. Tried both glass and PEI, same difference. Changing temperatures, cleaning nozzle, adjusting Z offset. Nothing was working. I gave up. Went back after a few days to calm down and this is what I came up with. Cura settings: nozzle - 230 bed - 70 print speed - 30mm/s retraction - on retract at layer change retract at outer wall combing - off cooling - off For the first layer, I back off print speed to 80%. Layer two I go to 100% print speed. Layer 3 and beyond - 120% print speed. Takes a bit of babysitting, but the results are nice. Sticks well to the bed. Very little stringing. Good detail and surfaces for a .5mm nozzle. A bit more flexible than i expected at 3/16 inch thick with 25% infill, but good and solid. Color is nice enough and not terrible glossy. Now that I have a finished print to hold and look at, I am convinced that this is a fine product and the problems I had are due to my own inexperience. I will keep tinkering with settings now that I have a profile to fall back on, but I am very satisfied with this filament and will buy this again and will try other Duramic filaments.

This company appears to be a new kid on the block, but don’t be fooled by the fact that this is essentially a brand new company. This company has arguably the cheapest quality PETG filament on Amazon. Their website is still not set up on GoDaddy. I am always on the look for top quality filament form my 3D printers. I go through a lot of this stuff and I hate to pay 30-50 dollars a kilogram or roll. Let me tell you that you do not need to pay a premium for quality filament. I was very cautious about the new company but bought it anyway. At $16.99 a roll, it was too good to pass up. My Prusa gobbled up the first roll and has yet to have a problem. It performed well with no tweaks to the base setting for PrusaSlicer, Cura, and Simplify3D. The print quality is on par with just about all filaments I have purchased to date with no significant defects in the prints. There were no boogers, clogging, discoloration, stringing, or tangling on the spool. The best part is I found no noticeable odor while printing. The packaging was perfect. It comes in a sturdy box. The filament is protected from humidity by a mylar bag with a silica pack. The spool is also well constructed with a gauge sticker on both sides to give a rough estimate of what is left on the spool. The spool will definitely be reused. There is also an added benefit of a freebee in the box: a 200×200 print surface. I have yet to use it, but will add it to my Prusa Mini in the future. I consider my self pretty experienced with 3D printing. I am on a mission to find the cheapest, best quality PETG I can find. Most of what I print is for fun, but I am starting a small business to print for locals that need things made. I have been easily gone through 30 brands of filament in a year and this stuff is the best I have used thus far. The Bottom Line: This stuff is the bomb! I have seen the price at $16-20 and I have not seen a filament in the price range that can match its performance. I might have a new “go-to” filament. I wish they had a wider assortment of colors at least the basics.I will buy this filament again and again. It is well worth the price on Amazon. I suggest you stroll over to Amazon to try it out. There is a link below.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this roll of PETG. I had never heard of this brand, and the price seemed too good to be true. Boy was I surprised! The first test print I ran was a 250% Benchy. At that size, any flaws or issues with the filament would definitely be in-your-face visible, right? Boy was I surprised! This Benchy looks GREAT. Consistent layer lines, good overhangs, next to zero stringing (which I usually get with PETG), and a beautiful shiny finish. But let's back up a bit... The packaging is excellent. Typical filament box. Inside was a very nicely vacuumed packed roll, and a card with tips to get good performance out of the filament. The roll of filament itself was nicely wound. Not as "perfect" as Prusament, but also not as messy as a lot of the "cheap" filaments out there. The markings on the spool are clear and concise. There are two quick glance gauges; on the left a glimpse of how many meters are left on the roll, and on the right, a glimpse of how many grams are left on the roll. A great little gauge to estimate if you have enough left to print that job! I proceeded to print the next test... a HUGE Marvin! He turned out beautifully also. Great layer lines, no visible issues. There was the typical visible overhangs between his legs and on the top keychain loop, and yes, they were more prominent due to the large scale of this Marvin, but those areas are typically visible, as are most overhangs like these. Overall the Marvin is perfect by my standards! Next was a print in place adjustable wrench. Again, I was very pleased with the results. The wrench works as good as it can for a 3D printed wrench, all the support material removed with extreme ease, and the overall print quality is excellent. Last test print was the 250% flexible T-Rex! As expected, this guy turned out fantastic! He popped off the bed with ease, and every joint was clean and bent as it should. No need to force any parts apart! The Benchy and Marvin were printed at a 0.2mm layer height. The T-Rex was printed at a 0.3mm layer height. All models were printed at 240º nozzle and 60º bed. All printed on Flashforge Creator 3 and sliced with Flashforge slicer. I will definitely be purchasing and testing more of this brand of filament. The price is right at $26.99CDN for a 1kg roll of black PETG. And they have TEN colours to choose from. Colours are just $1 more @ $27.99CDN per roll.

A few months in, updating this review to state that this filament has not let me down. 6 spools in, different colours, all prints come out beautiful. Old revisions go below. == Updated: seller contacted me, and offered me both a replacement and various instructions to make sure the tangling wasn't caused by mishandling of the filament spool. As much as I do not think that was the case, I can certainly triple check everything. At any rate, they offered a replacement as well: if it was a bad batch, they stand behind their products. If it wasn't, they're willing to work with their customers and make sure they're satisfied. I can't argue with that. Considering the print quality so far has been outstanding, their great customer service, and very competitive pricing, I must reassess: not only I will stick with their PETG, I will also try their PLA. original review below: ============================================= original title: A nice, beautiful tangle that ruins your print. Too bad, it is amazing otherwise. I was in love with this PETG, and looking forward to trying Duramic's PLA next. Minimal to no stringing whatsoever, beautiful prints, all was well. Night and day compared to PolyLite PETG, where I can't seem to figure out how to make it stop stringing like crazy. Too well, in fact: after printing a bunch of smaller parts, I decided to finally use it for a bigger project. All was well so far, I left the room. When I come back, it's tangled. A tight knot. And that awful noise. I quickly took the roll out and tried to untangle it, to no avail. Had to unwind some filament out of the spool, cut, then undo the knot. I let it proceed for a while, then decided to take a closer look. Print was ruined. After that, decided to examine my roll of Black PETG from Duramic as well - all of this happened with the white one - and the same applies to it. 25% or so in, there's a nice and well-made knot that ruins everything. It is too bad, the prints were great otherwise.

I do enjoy this filament, It prints good between 235 and 260 depending on Color. For PetG I am not totally impressed with the end Quality at anything under a 6mm tip. But I do think that's normal for a lot of PetG. The Clear I would recommend staying away from. ITS impossible. and way to sticky. I ruined a brand new PEI sheet because it ripped then to shreds. I even tried super cooling the sheet quick in order for it to snap off. I have a dual extruder set up on a Custom ender 3 and a older custom large scale hictop. First layer stick like #$%^ to a blanket aswell. My only real complaint is that I tried to contact the seller for 4 weeks with no response. I understand Covid and all. But this company is 20 minutes away from my home. I except more from a Canadian company. I had to double check with a email from a sock puppet account asking about large scale orders. I received a response within 12 hours . So they have terrible customer service unless you want to buy something. BUT that being said. You shouldn't have much trouble with it so please do try. just know they could give a crap if you have issues

Impressive results, very little stringing, though some extrusion fluctuations present. I left the spool in my dehydrator overnight to make sure moisture wouldn't be a factor, then I printed a temp tower. The range of printable temperatures seemed pretty wide, testing from 250 - 210 in 5C increments, only the extremes showed any problems. I decided to go for the middle of the ideal range at around 240C [Quick Aside] If you plan to print PETG, get a filament dryer. Seriously. Observations: Overall it prints pretty well. In comparison to a premium brand I was using before (Filaments.ca standard PETG, not the cheap econofil rolls) it has a little bit lower surface quality, but seems a little tougher and less brittle. The finish is a bit less glossy than the usual petg. It's not matt but knocks the shine down to more of a satin finish vs a high gloss. I like this, it looks less 'cheap' than most PETG spools. Layer adhesion is great, and overall strength is high. I had to use pliers to break a piece off of the nut shown in the pictures. There were some random albeit fairly minor underextrusion problems on the surface of the nut, I might need to bump up the temperature and see if that fixes it. There is some very slight extrusion variation along the layers. It's possible the dimensional accuracy of the filament could use some work. Other amazon reviews seem to reflect this. Overall I think it's good PETG for the price. It's not the performance you might expect from a premium spool but it's affordable and gets the job done, more than enough for casual printing. The nut I printed is a part for the spool holders I use, so I'm very familiar with how it prints in other filament, including PETG which is what I usually use for the spool holder parts. I was most impressed by how well it printed details without excessive stringing or dragging plastic around, Strength is also very good. The only downside I can see is dimensional accuracy of the filament strand could be improved.

Overall quality appears high, prints easily enough, no clogs yet (cross fingers). Wound well, comes off spool smoothly, and adheres to my PEI sheet strongly as long as I print the first 2 layers at higher temp (250° C) and lower speed (10-20 mm/s), then ramp it up to normal for the rest. Like most materials it releases easily from a PEI sheet when the bed cools to about 40° C, I like to use an external fan to speed up the cooling process if I'm in a hurry. Had some minor issues with "angel hair" build up on larger flat surfaces like the bottom, limiting the slow print to only 2 layers seemed to help this a bit, eventually the angel hair either blows away or is enveloped and covered up by the final bottom layer though, but it could become an issue on larger surfaces. This I understand is an issue with all PETG and nothing specific to this brand though. Will, and already have purchased again, this time in high contrasting Orange. Note: While the black was well wound and came off the spool easily, the orange was not and would bunch up and get caught on itself on the spool during prints. I would frequently have to check on my prints while using the orange color PETG and untangle the spool from time to time. Overall a minor issue and due to the materials high strength it doesn't tend to break like other materials might in similar situations, just strains the extruder motor a bit until I clear it up.
