I have a Dell Latitude E6430 ATG (the 'toughbook' version of the E6430) with the extended battery. This dock fits this configuration, as well as a standard E6430 with a regular battery, and whatever other configuration you want. The dock doesn't cover any ports at all (and with a standard battery the dock only covers the networking ports and the HDMI out, the ethernet port is replicated on the dock, but the modem connection isn't, and while you do lose the HDMI port, you get two DisplayPort ports and/or two DVI ports, to allow up to three monitors including the built in one, so as long as you're aware of what your setup is, you're not losing anything, or at least not much), meaning that with the one USB 2.0 port, the two USB 3.0 ports, and the one eSATA port already on the laptop, when docked you end up with four total USB 2.0 ports, four total USB 3.0 ports, and two eSATA ports. Once the dock is clicked in, it locks in wonderfully. I've had to pick the computer up and the dock would be hanging with no support, and even with the sag, it stayed completed connected, no ports dropped out, and the lock in stayed strong. With this dock my laptop becomes more capable and compatible with devices than my desktop is, more ports, more types of ports, and since it's a laptop, no need for an extra UPS. It really makes it a desktop replacement, leaving my desktop to be nothing but a gaming machine.

It does come with the big power supply. I thought it had a problem at first as my 42" external screen would not come up. I read up on it and figured out the power supply must be powered on for it to output to the external monitor. Even if the laptop battery is fully charged. I didn't know that and thought it was the dock. It works fine and I am happy with this purchase. Remember to plug it into the 120v receptacle even if the battery is fully charged. This is a good price as just the 240 watt power supply is twice this from Dell.

This is technically just a port replicator, but it provides additional functionality in the form of USB3 ports which are not present on the laptop I'm using it with, A Dell Latitude E6420. Additionally the dual video ports add a second monitor to the mix as well. I used these at work a couple of years ago and am very familiar with what they can and cannot do. This on is adjustable for both the stock 6 cell battery and the extended 9 cell as well. If you use an E series Dell laptop as your primary device and take it with you a lot, This port replicator will ease the pain of connecting and disconnecting any wired connections at your desk.

There could have been some paperwork on the unit explaining its use! Nothing came with the unit at all!

This has been a saving grace during this work from home during COVID-19 pandemic. Why? As a programmer more monitors are better. I have 2 external 32” monitors and my 15.6” laptop display all working using this replicator, so I have flexibility. This replicator is perfect for my system. I recommend it.

The DVI/Display Port output stopped working overnight. I work with 3 screens and this has completely disrupted my work flow.

Click to play video Product is in like new condition. it came with power supply and spacer already installed. Only issue is with one or both screens going out randomly while I'm using both monitors. Monitors are connected with two independent cables, Display ports to HDMI in monitors. I have tested both ports and cables with HDMI TV and they work fine but not on these two monitors. Both monitors also work fine when connected to another PC. Not sure what the issue is.

Delivered on time. Works great. Don't use my laptop too often, but this is a nice place to park it. Also works with my wife's work laptop so its hand when she works from home.

It claims to have USB 3.0 but my use suggests that it's still only USB 2. plugging in a USB 3 hard drive and transferring files I get the same speed as if I plug into a USB 2 port. sustained transfer rates are the same, and just because the port has a blue insert doesn't mean it's fast enough. Other than that, it does what it says. extra video ports are great, network port is solid and I get great throughput on a gigabit network.
