I got this bark deterrent device to help with my dogs' excessive barking, and so far, it works well for my older dogs. They respond to it quickly, and it helps stop barking without any harm. The multiple modes, including ultrasonic sound and deterrent flash, provide good training reinforcement. However, my 12-week-old puppy doesn’t seem to notice it yet, which makes sense given the product's recommendation for dogs over six months old. I’ll keep monitoring to see if that changes as my puppy grows. The device is lightweight, easy to use, and has a safety lock to prevent accidental activation, which is a nice feature. I purchased this bark deterrent device to help manage my dogs' excessive barking, and overall, I’m really impressed with how well it works—at least for my older dogs. They respond quickly to it, and it effectively stops their barking without causing any harm. The multiple modes, including ultrasonic sound and deterrent flash, offer solid reinforcement for training, making it a great tool for behavior correction. Effectiveness & Training Experience: For my older dogs, the device works exceptionally well. As soon as they hear the ultrasonic sound or see the deterrent flash, they pause and redirect their attention, making it much easier to reinforce commands like “Leave it” or “Quiet.” The quick response helps break their focus, which is especially useful during outdoor barking episodes or when they become overly reactive to noises outside. However, my 12-week-old puppy doesn’t seem to react to it yet. This aligns with the product's recommendation for use with dogs over six months old, so I’ll continue monitoring his response as he grows and his hearing develops further. Nighttime Barking Solution: One of the main reasons I got this device was to curb my dog’s nighttime barking. He often goes out into the yard at night and will occasionally alert to something, barking loudly—definitely not ideal for my neighbors! Before, I kept a dog whistle by my bed to get his attention and bring him back inside, but that method wasn’t always effective. Since using this device, I’ve noticed a significant improvement. I tested this on my barking dog just once, and to my surprise, he immediately stopped barking, looked around, and ran over to sit beside me. I honestly wasn’t expecting such a strong response from a test run. The unit feels sturdy—kind of like a TV remote—and while the strobe didn’t seem to do much, the training mode definitely got their attention. I have two dogs (an Australian Cattle Dog and an ACD mix), and they both tend to bark like crazy, especially at night. This has really helped cut down on the nighttime barking.

This product promises a lot, and for me it definitely delivers! My dog often goes into the yard at night – sometimes he alerts to something and barks at it. Definitely not ideal for the neighbors, so I used to keep a dog whistle at my bedside to try to get my dog’s attention to get him to stop barking and come back in. That didn’t always work, so I decided to try this out in hope that the combination of ultrasonic sound and flash would be more effective. What I love: -- Multi-Functionality: The three modes –Flash, Training, and Sound Mode – are great! From my bedroom, my dog can hear the sound and it’s enough to interrupt his focus so he can follow his “Leave it” or “Come inside” directions. -- Range is advertised up to 50 feet - effective across my large yard from inside the house with no problem. -- I love that this is "No Pain, No Harm, 100% Safe!" – I’ve had no trouble getting my dog’s attention using any of the device’s modes. He responds to it in much the same way as him hearing me clap my hands to get his attention. -- The device is small and lays on my bedside table so it’s in easy reach at night. And its compact and pocket sized for when we go on walks or do on-the-go training. This has been an effective method for tackling my dog’s unwanted behaviors – of course, your experience may vary depending on your dog’s personality, etc. It's absolutely worth considering if you're looking for a multi-functional, humane bark deterrent!
