We started using this “car seat” as soon as we brought our little rescue puppy home, and I think that this awesome car bed is the reason that he LOVES riding in the car and has zero fear, anxiety or car sickness when traveling. We have taken him on a 5 hour road trip (one way) and he did awesome, as well as daily trips to the dog park or lake or other errands. The base pad is several inches thick and firm, yet squishy. It props him up high enough to look out the window so he can see what’s happening. I put down disposable puppy pads and then covered with a blanket, in case he ever had an accident while traveling, but he never did, so we don’t use puppy pads anymore. It fits securely in the car and could easily be configured for most bench seat situations. I would say that this is not an ideal bed for a captains style seat, but we haven’t tried it in the other vehicle, so I can’t say for sure, but I’m guessing it would be a but large and also less stable, as captains chairs are typically bucket type. We love it and our daughter bought one for her vehicle for when she takes him on play dates or for an overnight stay. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our dog is currently 32 pounds and is probably full grown now, but I would say he could easily gain another 10 pounds and still fit comfortably in this bed.

If your dog is standing in rides and is uncomfortable to sit or lay down in the car, me may need a car bed like mine did. Canvas seat covers helped contain some of the dog hair, but made him slip around more than feel like he had a secure seat. DOG’S COMFORT- I’ve been searching for a canvas cover to co over my seats so my dog has a designated spot to sit on car rides, but he always slips around on those, and because of that, he’s nervous to sit and especially lay down. This was the BEST purchase because now he feels secure and comfortable, and has even dozed off on a ride. Big win! My dog is a 65lb boxer mix, and prefers to coil up to sleep instead of spread out, so this bed offers enough room for him to lay comfortably on rides with additional room. BED’S FIT- this product is obviously meant for the backseat. I use it in the front for local commutes, and twist the bed, so the long side faces me. I do put a plastic crate the same height of the passenger seat in the foot space to extend the seat so he has a flat surface. I do like that additional flap can protect the back of the seat when it’s up, but for my car, it’s too short and the straps are too long to protect the whole seat. It hasn’t been an issue for me so far. CLEANING- I chose the black/tan version, and the tan hides the hair and dirt better than the black. The zipper makes washing easy, and so far the fabric can be wiped cleaned. QUALITY: So far, worth the price for me! It’s a soft fabric with durable foam inserts. DELIVERY: Comes well packaged, and with minimal packaging. Came shrink-wrapped and fluffed back up to its original size immediately after taking out of the package.

Since day one I have been following the advice that keeping my dog daughter in a crate in the back of my SUV is the most safe way to travel with her. Over the time, I started to search for a better seating solution for her, as it is too hot, too isolate for her in the back of my car. I am so glad I found this car seat. Installed it in the middle of 2nd row seats, she comfortably sits or lays down in the seat. Now, she could see me, get cool air from AC, and look out from side and front windows. I could check on her through rear view mirror. The installation is easy. The seat is sturdy. I also put two huge leather cushions between 2nd row seats and the back of front row seats for added protection. Other than the initial hesitation of getting in the seat during the test ride, she has been happily ride in the seat for every ride. The only suggestion I have for the seat is to use stronger clips for the back panel. I may need to find thicker clips to replace them. Other than that, this wonderful dog car seat is a keeper.

The product is padded well. Nice soft pillow made well. The only thing I didn't like is how it straps to your seat. Never can it it adjusted correctly. It's nice size;plenty of room. Main problem not happy how you hook it to the seat[the back part]

This is a great pet seat, it is comfy and easy to mount, we mounted in 2 different cars with no issues. The pillow in the bottom is removable and cleanable. The provided straps have large clasps on them and the length can be extended.

Seems safe and secure. I just used it for the first time this morning to take my 4 month old puppy to the vet. He was a little wiggly when I was clipping him in, but settled right into it. He just quietly watched out the window the entire trip. Now that he is fully vaccinated I will be taking him out on several outings a week, and am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this.
