My rig that was always horribly noisy is completely silent now. I was running on an ispot and it was demoralizing. Seriously , zero noise. You could spend a lot I guess on a big brand name, to get less than zero noise, ha!. I am pulling a lot of current on every port plus pedals that are getting power from other pedals. Including 18v to my Clone Centaur and 12 to my WAH. No issues. Now that it has proven itself out, getting second unit for my 2nd board. Small, lightweight easy to Velcro on. Good cables supplied. High quality unit, pretty jazzed about it. Shocked by how eerily quiet it is for this cheap. For giggles I plugged a daisy chain cable into it to power 3 more pedals off the 500ma port. Works, no noise. Very cool since I would rather blow money on pedals and my GAS than on power.

If you're anything like me, you're carefully going through reviews of other users of this power supply before making up your mind, and you have surely noticed the majority of reviews say something along the lines of "this is a great power supply, NOT isolated as the advertising suggests, but it's awesome and silent" or maybe something like "it's a little bit noisy, but it gets the job done". But then you also have a few bad reviews stating it's a terrible supply and it's really noisy. You're probably wondering if you should listen to what most reviews say and just go with it or if you should pay attention to those bad reviews and save up for a better, more expensive power supply. And if this is the case, I want to tell you that, in my experience, this power supply is really a hit-or-miss, those good reviews are right, but those bad reviews are also right! I always do my homework obsessively before buying my musical equipment. This is my first power supply and I wanted to be sure I was making a good purchase. So I read a lot of reviews here and there, and watched a couple of YouTube videos until I finally decided to order this power supply. I received my unit, but upon my first try I was really disappointed to find out it was really noisy. I didn't want to believe I had purchased a bad quality product, so I tried different solutions like plugging my supply to different wall sockets, checking every patch cable, rearranging my pedals, and making sure the power consumption of every pedal matched correctly with each output, all to no avail, and in the end I noticed even powering different single pedals was enough to cause a loud buzz in my amp. I still didn't want to feel like I threw my money away, so I contacted Donner's costumer service. They were really good at attending my problem and they sent me a new unit to replace it. The new one arrived quickly and when I tried it I effectively noticed a big improvement on the noise, and I have been happy with this power supply ever since. So, as you can see, I have personally experienced why so many reviews say wonders about this power supply, but also why some reviews say it's a terrible supply. In my experience, you do run the risk of getting a defective noisy unit, but statistically you'll most likely get a good one, and even if you do get a noisy unit, I can attest that Donner's costumer service will take care of your situation. I guess they just really need to improve their quality check process. If you really want to make sure you save yourself of any trouble, then I do encourage you to save up for an actual isolated supply, because the feeling of wasted money when getting a noisy supply really sucks. I'm happy with my purchase now, but I'll definitely go for a higher end isolated supply later on...

This was definitely the most significant cost-cutting attempt I made in my entire setup. I just couldn't swallow that it should take $150-$300 to run a few milliamps to a few pedals! And I have to say, so far, I don't think it does! Is it COMPLETELY ISOLATED like VL supposedly is? I dunno, maybe not. But I think that 99% of users don't need any more than this. Not only does this power supply offer specs that surpass every "also-ran" power supply, it kicks any Voodoo Lab product in the teeth! Even the $200 VL 4x4 has FEWER ports (only 8 simultaneous) at LOWER amperage! The only one that even comes close is the $300 MONDO. Meanwhile with the DP-2, for a relatively paltry $50, you get 6 9V ports at 100mA, 2 9V ports at 500mA, and one each 12V and 18V, BOTH at a whopping 500mA. TEN TOTAL PORTS. I am using every port except the 18V (and still had to daisy chain a couple pedals off my BOSS LS-2) and so far it is working flawlessly. I am not getting any more noise than I do with individual wall-warts, and what noise I do get it easily snuffed out by the appropriate pedals (EHX DBBMP, BOSS NS-2, etc.). About the only gripe I have is the AC adpater. It has a "snap-in" plug so the adapter does not sit flush wherever it's plugged in, so it can be easily pushed down on the bottom, which pulls the plug a little bit out of the socket. Hasn't been an issue, but a silly problem to have, and even easier for Donner to fix. I will update this review if I have any problems, but as of right now, the Donner DP-2 has hit it out of the park!

This is an awesome power supply, at the moment I have five pedals hooked up to it, Keely Java Boost, Ibanez Tube Screamer, Ibanez Digital delay, Ibanez Digital Chorus, and a Cry Baby Wah. So far this unit is working flawlessly, there is absolutely no noise generated through the pedals, even with all of them on at the same time, I never do that when I'm playing, but it just wanted to try it to see. The AC supply cord is pretty short, but nothing an extension cord can't handle. There are 10 adapter cords that are about 18" long, plenty of length to reach all of the pedals, I don't use a pedal board so the extra length on the cables is nice, because I spread my pedals out, depending on the venue stage. There are also 2 extra cables for extensions. The blue lights are bright, but you can also turn them off if you want. Overall, I would give this power supply a #10

Great power supply. I prefer it over my voodoo lab pedal power.and the best part is, it's a fraction of the price ! It has all the same features I need, but is much smaller. The 12/18v outlets are a plus. DC cables are plenty long so large pedalboards are not a problem. It's so small and light that I was able to mount it Underneath my board just using Velcro. Once I had everything connected, I noticed there was much less noise in my signal chain than before. Bottom line is: built solid, amazing price, good features, long cords...it's a must buy!

This power supply works fine and I bought it for a very affordable price. I also really like its compact size. The packaging was good and the delivery was pretty quick. It's a good deal. I like Donner products.

Works great! I run 14-16 pedals on a board and this works great to power 10 of them. Obviously buying a voodoo is going to be much better, but being married with 2 kids while going to college full time, one can't always afford the best. This is a much cheaper solution that works better than I daisy chain, which I used for years. I haven't gotten feedback from power supply like I did with the daisy chain. I currently have the Donner DP-1 on order to power the rest of my pedal (only because at this time the DP-2 is out of stock and I am wanting the second one before I play at a conference in a month).
