Updated review: Donner Customer Service really bent over backwards. They were sure the original guitar I received was defective and they sent me a replacement. It is truly a different instrument. No high e-string string buzz, good action height (I adjusted it 1/8 CCW turn to add some relief). Strings even seem to be heavier gage and sound better. This is now a very usable instrument. Very light. Well made. Innovative. Although it creates acoustic tones, it's important to keep in mind that this is amplified sound through an electric signal and so dialing tone (usually the world of electric guitars) applies somewhat here. Unlike an acoustic guitar that has its own sound that your ears hear with no intermediate adjustments, the acoustic tones of this guitar can vary quite dramatically when using the supplied buds, versus plugged into an acoustic amp, or with tone adjustments at the amp or multi-effects device. I love the sound using my Mustang Micro plugged into the 1/4" jack with reverb and a '65 twin amp simulator into over the ear headphones. The tone is pretty good through the supplied ear buds, but not as pleasing. With amplified sound, you'll hear every mis-fretted note more than usual. That may turn out to be a good thing as it is direct feedback on fretting technique. Finally, I'm not a fan of the neck profile. It's chunkier than any of the acoustics I own. More of a D shape than a C shape. I suspect it is better for those players that properly keep their thumb firmly on the back side of the neck. But I often reach my thumb to the top string to fret notes and the chunkier neck actually makes this more difficult. Not a huge deal. I'll get used to it. All in all, I really like this guitar. It will be a great travel guitar or for playing when others aren't interested in hearing me. Original review: I looked at soooo many Youtube reviews and read so many reviews before buying this. My expectations were high! However, I should have paid more attention to the reviews that described the need for a setup on this guitar before it was ready to play. If you like me are not one of those people who know how to do a professional setup, then you might be frustrated like I was. I can see why some people have given very positive reviews...great concept, very portable and light, great design, good customer support, etc....but these couldn't overcome the negatives for me. The high e-string buzzed badly at the bridge notch. The space between the strings and fretboard (action) was extreme, unlike any of the other four acoustic guitars I own - high bridge and concave fretboard. Tone was not that pleasing to me through their earphones or through my acoustic amp (tone was not terrible, but not pleasant to me but I suspect slightly heavier strings would have made a big difference).

The nice-the wood is nicely finished. Metal hardware looks great. Case seems to have adequate padding, and the guitar is lightweight. Has a nice sound. The fretwork is immaculate. Now the not so nice-tuning took forever. Took a bit of work to get the bow out of the neck. The bridge is way too high for the guitar for me. I am returning. Action is too high for me to comfortably play. UPDATE- Donner customer service reached out to me and that means they care about having happy customers. Kudos to Donner for having great customer service 👏

I am very pleased with the Donner HUSH Guitar for what it is and the specific application I purchased it for: to have a very portable travel guitar, with a full-scale neck, available for an upcoming trip. To keep your chops up and your repertoire stage-ready, over an extended trip, it's nice to have a travel guitar that breaks down this small — only 33 inches X 6 inches in it's case. There are several options for travel guitars: including guitars where the neck folds, or very small guitaralele's which have shorter necks and usually tune to a different scale. I've owned several other travel guitars. However, I want to play in the same key and have my fingers learning and practicing the same placement and stretches as my full-size guitars. I don't want a little tiny 1/2 or 3/4 size guitar that sounds like a child's first guitar. The Donner HUSH fits the bill perfectly. The fact that it is a silent guitar with a built-in headphone amp is a plus also. Traveling in a car I can play this short headless guitar and not bother anyone else in the car, even though I can hear it in headphones better than if I was trying to practice with a traditional acoustic guitar. With the braces removed and inside it's case, the guitar is so small I can't imagine not being able to carry it on a plane, which is the main reason I purchased it. Given the relatively low price, the quality and playability seem good to me. The sound in headphones isn't as refined as the Yahmaha silent guitar, but it doesn't cost as much and it breaks down to a smaller size. I've owned 2 Yamaha silent guitars, both the nylon string and the steel string. This time I chose this over the Yamaha, because it's smaller, more affordable, and all I am buying it for is a travel/practice guitar — period. It is a piezo-based acoustic sounding instrument, not like an electric guitar powered by magnetic pick-ups. With processing from pedals, an IR loader, compression, saturation, and reverb, I'm sure the sound could be brought up to a very respectable acoustic-guitar-like quality; but I probably won't ever perform in front of people with this guitar. It's about practicing silently and traveling. Although, if an opportunity demands it, the guitar will plug into any Bluetooth speaker with an 1/8th inch input, or a regular guitar amp's 1/4 inch input, so in a pinch, you could gig with it. Having said all that, now, after owning the guitar and playing it for a few weeks, there are a few improvements that I could suggest to the manufacturer — simple, inexpensive improvements that could raise the guitar's performance and value to a much higher level. I will probably work on that wish list and submit it directly to Donner, but again, I'm happy with the guitar.

Great little practice guitar! Super slick body l, great sound and fantastic quality. Very impressed with how compact it is. Sounds great through the included ear buds. Only gripe I have is the ear buds don't fit my ears that well, even with the included tips that you can change. They seem to fit the ear kind of awkwardly but do sound good. Great purchase, high quality. Recommended for anyone needing a guitar for travel or playing when you need to keep noise down.

Custodia davvero carina.

A nova guitarra é perfeita. Recomendo o vendedor a 100%. - a construção.
