Recently purchased this Gt-s. If you want a reliable scooter, this is it. I upgraded from an older etwow. It really moves too. 190lb male gets up to 27 depending on road. Leave time to brake! Folds down easily and collapsing handlebars make it much easier to manage. Also customer service was very responsive and helpful.

Before purchasing, I did a fair bit of research on lightweight escooters. I really wanted to like the Unagi Model One, but the online reviews trashed the distance. I am glad I listened. I am extremely happy with the E-TWOW (pronounced E2). Full feature top-of-class escooters weigh in at near or over 80 lbs. I weighed this one myself out of curiosity and it is 29 lbs. It is crazy-easy to fold and pick up, but I will say that those 29 lbs are not zero... I still grunt when I pick it up. That said, picking up an 80 lb escooter is a bit much. I absolutely love the performance. Weight of the rider was a concern to me, which was another reason I went with the E-TWOW GT SE. Many have a limit of 220 lbs for rider, remember that once you get your work backpack or whatever you may take with you like a U-Lock bike lock, all that weight adds up. I had no problems. On a flat surface fully loaded up for work, I sustain about 20 miles/hour. On an escooter, that is enjoyably fast. For reference, the rental scooters I am used to (Spin etc.), maybe do 11 miles/hour, perhaps 14 if you are lucky and your city doesn't cap the speed (e.g. Washington DC has an enforced escooter speed limit). The ride is very smooth. I was leery of the airless tires, but like the idea of never getting a flat. The suspension is bouncy enough that the general bumps and small gravel are not even felt. I do feel it with an "oomph" when I hit a pothole or raised curb, but that is just part of the experience and doesn't remove my smile. Braking is fantastic. The lever/motor break works for most cases I need, and I did have to use the squeeze handle break once and it stopped me right away without throwing me. You can step on the back fender as a break, but I don't do this so can't speak to it working or not. The lights are adequate in front and back. I like that the back light shows me breaking whether I have the lights on or not. The display is easy to use. I will say that it is difficult in direct sunlight, but I can see enough of my speed. I knew this based on reviews online, and it didn't stop me buying it. It does much better on hills than the rental scooters. I didn't measure grades, but the hill by my house is a challenge for rentals - I may keep it at 4 or 5 miles an hour and make it. On the E-TWOW GT SE, I maintained over 10 miles/hour up the same hill. I like the fact that I can fold the handlebars in. The feel of the handlebars is solid. Some online reviews across the web complain about the electronic bell sound. I admit that it is odd, but each time I used it, people turned around and got out of my way (maybe because it was odd). The charge time is acceptable; it is what you would expect for this class. I am also very happy with the seller, who was responsive to a few questions I had after the purchase. It arrived fairly quickly after ordering. It came in a plain box. Setup was instant - get it out, unfold the stem, and go! I did plug mine in first but there was some charge on it out of the box. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this model. My recommendation for anyone is to research, read reviews, watch YouTube videos on the model etc. That exercise led me to this escooter, and I have zero regrets after using it for a bit!

I like this scooter a lot, it's portable and pretty fast. The 0 start option is super convenient, it was a life saver when I twisted my ankle rock climbing. The app allows you to lock the scooter, which disables the motor, and makes loud beeping noise when it's being moved around. Three different ways to break. Kinetic is my favorite, but I noticed that sometimes it bugs out and when it does, it barely slows you down, which can lead to a crash; but you have 2 back up breaking systems to save you. Be aware that this can happen though. Folding system took a little to learn. You should look up examples on YouTube if you aren't sure how to do it, there are some video explanations. Maybe it's just me, but the booklet did not make it obvious at all. Biggest drawbacks in my opinion are 1) It's pretty expensive (but I guess you get what you pay for) 2) You can't really leave the scooter outside. People will definitely steal it, even if you lock it. 3) It's using metric units and I have yet to find how to change it to imperial. Not that big of a deal, but I'm not sure why this isn't available / fixed. Happy with the purchase. Edit: Apparently there's a way to change the metric system directly on the scooter, it just isn't very obvious. You need to hold 2 right-most buttons for a few seconds, then toggle the units once the screen changes to unit selection.

Click to play video I’ve owned a bunch of different scooters. Here’s why this one’s easily the BEST. PROS: -amazing price for what you get -so much lighter in weight than my other ones, way bigger deal than you’d think -has a carrying strap, this is also a way bigger deal than you’d think -faster than any other scooter I’ve owned of this size -faster than almost anyone else on Manhattan bike path -I’m 235+ pounds and it regularly goes 19-24 MPH -break and acceleration buttons are both right at your thumbs, the perfect spot -horn is right there too (so much better than any other scooter where everything’s in the wrong spot) -wheels aren’t air so can’t really break and can’t go flat -it’s also so quiet! for some reason this adds a magical quality to it for me -there are actually THREE separate brakes for added safely and personal preference -insanely good customer service CONS: -can’t adjust horn volume (and could be louder) -horn button resistance (harder to push than should be) On that last PRO above, I never would have thought it mattered or that this was something to consider. But it is. I’ve needed help on things I never imagined I would have to reach out for help on, and the response was fast and went far beyond what I had expected. If you’re looking for a scooter, and you’re not sure if it’ll be this one, please just make sure you see at least some reviews saying how great the customer service is. This ends up being more important than you can imagine. As for the cons, the truth is that these things really aren’t that bad. I’m just in a loud city to begin with. I addressed the issue by simply buying a detachable super loud rechargeable horn on Amazon and affixed the button right up near the normal scooter horn. Issue solved. SEE PHOTO FOR HORN I ADDED. Two other notes for a new user. First, if you need MPH rather than KPH, it’s really easy -- you just need to do it on the app. There’s no way to do it on the scooter interface itself, and you also wouldn’t know that from the pamphlet because it doesn’t tell you. So now you know, because I just told you. (UPDATE: The seller gave me the following correction: "You can do the switch between MPH and KPH on scooter too. Very easy. Just press S and power buttons at the same time for 2 seconds, then click S button to switch between MPH and KPH.") Second, for me personally, it took a bit of practice to get good at folding the scooter very quickly, but now it’s the most convenient folding scooter I’ve ever owned. The trick is to use your foot on the latch and to fold it at the same time as you push down on the latch all at once. You got this. SEE VIDEO FOR SIMPLE METHOD TO FOLD QUICKLY Definitely consider buying this one. I am even considering buying a second one myself just to have two (for a guest or friend or something). Easily the best one I’ve ever gotten and definitely worth this price.
