Great thermometer. I got it because my kids are always sick so I can keep an eye on their fevers. Pretty sure it's accurate. The design makes it easy to read.

This electronic thermometer works well and accurately. The measurements are fast, the display is clear, and it’s easy to use. I’m satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it.

Update, I thought these laser reading thermometers would be helpful and accurate, I honestly think it just reads any number, I was sweating for no reason recently and was concerned so I took my temp 3x in the ear and it read 92.3. That’s just not accurate at all, one time since I bought it it read 99.1 but most of the time reads 92-94 degrees and I think that is just a piece of equipment that doesn’t work, for the price, you are better off buying an old fashioned under the tongue and wait 10 minutes to get a more accurate read. I got this because I have an under the tongue thermometer and it takes like 5 minutes and then it’s very difficult to tip to the exact angle to read the temperature. I hated waiting so long for a readout, now I just use it to compare two readings if I have the time. You can scan the forehead or pop the top and stick in your ear for a reading. Personally I believe you get a more accurate reading in your ear. I think it’s important for people to have these or any thermometer and check daily readings before going out and being around people. I know many people do t have $59 to drop on a laser thermometer right now as times are tough for millions but I would recommend having this one on hand if you can afford one, seems to read accurately as I have always had a resting temp of 98.0 and this seems to read right around that maybe .1 or .2 degrees either way. Has a handy bag with draw strings and comes with batteries. Two AA will make it work. Very fast reliable readings and gives you a sense of health safety we should all be doing daily. If I read 99.1 or higher I would take a sick day just to be safe. Covid is coming back strong and these may disappear quickly like they did when it first came on. Thermometers were like toilet paper, nowhere to be found.

Stopped working after two months when I really needed it. Was a pain having to swipe the forehead or use in ear, especially when part of the reason I bought it was to be able to measure surface temps. I check my temp every mornign before going to the office and had developed a bad case of strep throat and was staying home and really need it then. Gave me a temp of 104 which I knew wasn't right and checked with my other thermometer and was 99.3 and tried checking again and all three ways it was reading lo and still continue to do so. Glad I had a back up plan even though that one takes a while to get a reading and isn't instant. Go to Costco and buy the one they have. It's a little more but works great and if it were to break like this piece of junk you can get a refund with no problem. Like a couple other posters stated when I use it contactless it either says LO or reads at least a degree too high. Compared it with my regular oral thermometers when doing a forehead swipe or ear reading and the readings are within 0.2 of a degree so it's acurate that way. It would be ok for family use or good for checking a small child's temp while sleeping since you can mute the beep. I wouldn't recomend it for temp checks for an office since the contactless feature is inaccurate. I was really disappointed in the object measurement being so far off. I've been doing a lot of cooking and thought this would be great for measuring water temps but it reads a good five degrees higher than it should when measuring air temp so I sure don't trust it for cooking. Like how fast it reads a temp. Also like the small storage bag it came with. I have seen a lot of thermometers have complaints that they read in celius only and this came set to F and there is a switch under the battery cover to switch it to Celius. A lot of thermometers also had bad reviews because they had no instructions or were in chinese. The instruction manual is printed in english and easilly folds up to fit in the storage bag.

I bought this because I like the ability to use it in the ear or as a forehead scanner. However, neither option is accurate. When compared to an under the tongue the thermometer it is always at least 3 to 4° off. That’s way too much of a difference. My daughter has recently been battling the flu, I know she was burning up. You could see it, and you could feel it, however, never once did I get an abnormal reading on the thermometer. Then retaking her temperature under the tongue, she would have a 103° fever. I do not recommend this product.

Actually super helpful being able to take the cap off and use it for an ear temp and a forehead.
