Got this for my child when they were in 4th grade music class. Their other parent had gotten one for $5 that was a clear one piece recorder that sounded like nails on a chalkboard. I couldn't stand it, and my kid complained that it sounded noticeably worse than their classmates' recorders. So we found this one and bought it. I think it was listed as $12 or $13 at the time. Great value. It comes apart to clean, and sounds much better than the other cheap toy one. They enjoyed it in class, and while a recorder in the home can be a headache for a parent regardless, this one was not screechy and terrible, so its been fine.

Whoever invented this thing and then decided it was a good idea to give it to children obviously never had kids. My son had to have this contraption for school and of course had to practice at home.🙄 Other than the horrible headache I got from it, it actually works quite well for a plastic toy. My son picked out the color and was very happy that it actually was blue, it looks just like the picture and it comes with everything seen. It's light weight and easy to handle, the sound is exactly like I remembered it when my daughter went through music class. The size of it is perfect for any child.

I like this recorder. It seems to work well . I comes with a canvas carrying sack and a cleaning rod. It is made in 3 pieces which fit together well.

We got the pink color and the item works great for school. It is clear so you can see when moisture builds inside- they may be the only downside but the product itself was great and a reasonable price and was able to get it quickly!

Play Video This recorder is a tuneful, easy to play instrument suitable for beginners or for travel. Made from a durable plastic (resistant to falls and scrapes, and from my dog who briefly tried to 'play' it), the recorder is really easy to toss in a bag or case and take with you when you travel. The many colors in which it comes are appealing to students and adults, and I think make an encouragement to play and practice. The minor holes at the bottom work serviceably well for a beginner instrument- by keeping the air column strong and broad, one can hit the minor notes. Be mindful of the fact that narrow or littler fingers will have to be very precise when using them, or it can whistle a bit, but a good practice instrument for those just starting out nevertheless, encouraging precision and understanding of the change in pressure over the holes changing sound. The high note is clear, and the low one easy to play. I will use these for students!
