In the beginning, you will receive your mug in beautiful packaging and it will work as you wish. The empty mug weight is 414g which is a little heavy but the handle is very comfortable. The first setup use very easy just charge your mug and download the app to set your preferred temperature. Once you set the temperature you need 10+ Min on average to reach your preferred temperature, the mug works on 110/220v if you need to travel. Please take a couple of minutes to read the user manual to avoid any short circuit while you charge the mug. PROS: 1- Great build quality, just don't use a metal spoon to avoid scratches. 2- The average time depending on the temperature is 70 Min which is doing what is supposed to be done, and the actual temperature of the drink is similar to what is displayed on the app. 3- Smooth app to control and easy to connect, and the mug will automatically off if the mug is empty. CONS: 1- The charging time is very long more than two hours to get fully charged, this is very annoying!! 2- The battery percentage decreases rapidly after a full charge until it reaches 3%, where it remains for a long time. I believe a software update is needed. 3- I would like to see a 70 C degree nether than 62.5 to drink a black tea.

I am constantly drinking cold coffee because of how busy I am at work and I don't have time to keep heating up my coffee. This keeps my coffee so nice and warm. And while it's expensive (too expensive) normally, Ember had good holiday sales and the sale price made it worth it. Ps. I know this is a "10 oz" mug, but it definitely holds only 8 oz. My nespresso coffee pods are 7.77 fl oz, and one pod fills it to just under the rim of the mug. If you want to actually drink 10 oz, you need to get the 12 oz mug.

I've been caregiving my elderly parent for a few years now, and most days I get to my own breakfast around 4pm. Rising early enough to make a cup of coffee for myself, rarely do I sit and sip at my leisure. Instead my cuppa travels with me throughout, and needs to microwaved 2 - 3 times. And as we all know, that makes it taste functional. Hot, but sad. I chose this brand for the soft blue color, easy on sleepy eyes. When you buy enough tech things you expect something to be off or scratched or not working as expected, and you weigh the worth of dealing with that for the item. Literally nothing is off with this mug, at least within the 2 days I've used it. Works just as it says it does. It's simple to set up. It's pretty. and most importantly, I've now had piping hot, tasty coffee all morning for 2 days now. I'm so happy with this mug. It's the little things, folks.

We've purchased multiple 10 & 14oz cups from this company, and had our share of problems. The original 10oz cup had the inner enamel cracking problem and then the charging plate pin issue. We've had to contact this company on multiple occasions, but we've noticed that the response times were getting longer and longer. The latest issue was one cup's charging light started strobing, two reds, then a green, then repeats. We attempted the power reset, but it had no effect. So we contacted Ember again, and started a five week course in frustration that ended in bupkis. The site's help window requests the model and serial number. We sent that. We waited a week, then got a reply with no answer for the strobing, but that needed a photo of the bottom of the cup for the serial number. Why didn't they ask for that on the initial help page submission? But we sent the photo, waited for nearly two weeks for a reply, and finally sent a reminder. We got a response requiring us to submit a video of the strobing, but again, no explanation. Why didn't they ask for that the first time? Were we the only people on the planet that had experienced this problem and particular strobing code? We replied that we did not know to get them a video as neither of us have e-mail on our phones, but they demanded the video. We finally had a neighbor come over and show us how to get them their video (we're old, LOL). So then we finally received an answer (of sorts): They didn't know what the strobing code meant, the cup was six months out of warranty and they were refusing to replace it, but they offered $20 off a new one. YGBFKU. By the serial number we submitted, Ember knew the purchase date and knew the cup was out of warranty, but didn't tell us. They also knew by our description of the strobing code they would not know what the problem was, but didn't tell us that either, and still demanded a stupid, useless, time-wasting video that they knew they wouldn't have an answer for. Talk about total frustration, in addition to having to chase them constantly for replies and answers. We had also previously pointed out to them that we had purchased four of these over time, but apparently, they do not value customer loyalty. So we had to hassle with photo and video submissions, and then wait five weeks for absolutely nothing. And so this is the last Ember product we will ever purchase. Therefore, BE AWARE: Ember's expensive products are seductively marketed, but that is where all the majority of their money is going, it's certainly not in customer support or hiring and training good people. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK: We spent $125 on this cup less than three years ago, and whatever the strobing light code means, it is most likely destined to fail in the near future. Why would we want to buy another one after this experience? Plenty of competitors have popped up in the last decade, so if we ever get the itch to buy another, we'll try another company. ANybody considering any Ember item should think long and hard about spending that much money on products with a history of problems, iffy functionality and longevity, and terrible support. And don't just take our word for it: Click on "negative reviews" on this or any other Ember product and read the hundreds of other dissatisfied victims stories. Hopefully, after this and a few others, you'll keep your wallet shut.

I had very high hopes for this mug. I almost returned it. Pro:1- It does just what it says, keep the coffee warm for 90 minutes or so. 2-I like the feel of it, I was afraid it would feel like plastic, but it doesn't. Cons: 1-The app is very nice, but won't stay connected. If you do anything else with you phone you not only get disconnected from the mug, you must pair it again! Every time, every day! Quite annoying, makes the app pretty much useless. 2- When using the mug, sitting it on the charging disc keeps it hot, but does not recharge the mug. The mug will only recharge if it's empty. So even if you spend time at your desk with the mug on the charging disk, you only have the 90 minutes of walking around time. I will use it during breakfast, but then there are fewer minutes later to be moving around with hot coffee. The bottom line is it does what it says well, as long as you are aware of the limitations. I took it down one star for the annoying app issues.

Absolutely Love These CUPS, to the point I Gifted 2 more up to date Cups to My Family as Xmas Gifts. The newer versions holds a charge longer than my older on. Love the fact you can personalized your cup by colour charge light. AND, you control everything by their App. Including the Temperature of the drink you like. They are a little expensive, but well worth it. I got mine on sale. It’s so nice to have a hot coffee, and it’s still hot when you get to the last delicious sip.
