It took a bit to figure out the balance of the rolling pin, because the cold water was only in about 3/4-2/3 of the inside and flour was supposed to be in the other. The water made it heavier on the one side, making that side of the dough thinner. So there was a bit of compensation needing to be done. As for the flour that was supposed to be on the other end of the rolling pin, it didn’t make much sense to me when it would be sprinkling all over as I was rolling out the dough. What a mess! I think that it would have been a better design, if the entire center of the rolling pin, could be filled with cold water. It was a bit heavy when the dough started to get soft while making sugar cookies. I did not see directions on how to remove either one of the ends of the rolling pin, in order to put the water or the flour in. Which was a bit disappointing. I think I stripped out the side for the flour trying to figure it out. This side needs to be pushed in, turned and then pulled out. It has a notch that it sits in. It does not screw out like you would think. And with the end with the water, it is a rubber plug that comes straight out and goes straight in. Which is quite difficult, but I guess that gives you security that your dough is NOT going to get wet. Both ends look almost exactly the same, except the end holding the flour, has the grips around the edge in order to turn it. The end of the rolling pin to be filled with water does not. This end you will have to pry up the rubber stopper from the inside edge and pull it out in order to fill it with the cold water. And to put it back in, I suggest getting as much water as you possibly can and then pushing it back in. There’s no easy way to do it. I think with a bit of practice, and maybe putting something like pennies in the end, where the flour should go this might be my favorite rolling pin. I do have four, so that’s saying a lot.

This rolling pin has a few great features. It's nice and long. It's the longest rolling pin that I've ever had. It has measurements printed on it in both inches and centimeters and I love that it's stainless steel. You're supposed to put flower in one end and you can turn the stopper so that it opens up a sprinkle dispenser so that you can sprinkle flower on your dough. That might be a good feature for some people, but it's not a feature that I find myself ever using. Seems like it's creating something else to clean unessecarily. The other side gets filled ith water to keep the rolling pin cool. That's a great feature although it took me a while to figure out hoe to get the stopper out to fill it. On the flower side, you turn and pull, but on the water side, it's just a very tight rubber stopper, and it took some effort to pry it out of there. But these are minor issues. Overall, this is a great rolling pin!

Pros: - Built-in flour containers for convenient access during rolling - Made of stainless steel, ensuring longevity and resistance to rust - Self-cooling feature - Ergonomic design Cons: - The water that is frozen does not run the whole length of the rolling pin because of the flour compartment. This means when the pin is filled, the weight distribution is completely off and you end up with unevenly rolled dough. - When frozen, this creates a lot of condensation which can completely ruin a recipe. Especially for croissants or puff pastry where you need a good balance of flour, butter, and water. This just creates more problems than it solves - Requires extensive cleaning to ensure no flour is stuck anywhere

while it don't have side handles, it effectively works though. Once you get the hang of it it works fair. I wouldn't buy it again though

I'm always looking for ways to improve my baking. This pin looked interesting and unique as I have never seen a baker on youtube or tv use one of these. I love that it has measurements on it which is very helpful when trying to roll out a sheet of dough to fit a pan. Even if you don't use it for the flour shaker or cooling features, it's still a great rolling pin! Metal is great to use as I only use wood or ceramic ones before.

I needed a new rolling pin so badly and I wasn’t sure about this style but ordered it and I’m a huge fan! My old one was a wooden one passed down for years but it was getting grubby and I just didn’t feel like it got clean enough so this metal one is perfect! It is heavy duty but not to heavy to hold. I love how easy it is to clean and sterilize after each use! It is super handy that you can keep it cold when working on pastry dough that needs to keep the butter solid for flakiness. It really is a nice rolling pin and I’m so glad I took a chance and ordered it.

The sifter end of the rolling pin was received damaged/cracked into pieces upon opening the parcel/packaging. According to the product listing, there is a one year manufacturer warranty. I attempted to register the product on the manufacturer website, but this particular product is not listed on the dropdown of choices/products to register. I emailed customer service for further instruction or assistance. I will update if I receive a resolution! 2-week update: Shortly after writing my initial review/receiving the broken rolling pin originally, I was able to exchange it for a new one via Amazon. I received it and have finally had the opportunity to test it out today by making puff pastry dough from scratch. The flour sifter which is built-in was super handy, as were the measurement markings on the pin itself. I did not need to fill the other side with water for this particular situation because the pin itself is quite cool because of the stainless steel material. It was also easy to clean. Another little bonus is there is a one year manufacturer warranty. I feel like the price is justified and fair considering the high quality ingredients and extra little features ($24 at the time of writing this review).
