These pens are so satisfying to use. I am very particular about my pens and have really enjoyed using these and have even gifted some to family because they were so lovely. Each element of the design feels well thought out. First, the texture of the pen exterior feels velvety and and smooth - just pleasurable to hold. The weight is excellent, a little heavier than a standard pen. My partner actually alerted me to a feature I didn't notice at first, which is that the ball bearing in the clip can function as a fidget since it moves a bit with touch. I would say that it moves smoothly enough that it feels unclear at first whether it is actually moving or your finger tip is just slipping across it, but it is a nice sensory experience and just a cool added feature. But let's get to the most important part - how it writes. All of the pens are black ink, regardless of pen color, which might be off-putting at first if you did not read the full description. But it is irrelevant once you use the pen. The ink flow is perfect. It writes on different weights and textures of paper easily and smoothly. I typically use a pilot G-2 0.38 extra fine point pen for my work and the point for this pen is slightly larger, maybe a 0.5, but I think would be satisfying for someone used to a 0.38 or a 0.7. If you are as crazy about pens as I am, you might be familiar with that effervescent brain feeling one gets when the perfect match is made between paper and pen. This is that pen with every type of paper. It's wild. The only trouble I have with this pen is that it feels almost too good to use for regular tasks. I will personally be using it for journaling and creative writing while leaving my regular work horse pens to do the list making and rapid fire notes. But really, you could use this for anything. It works better than some of my black ink art pens and really, the price is amazing for a product this useful and enjoyable. Highly recommend. Enjoy!
