This is the first time I’ve ever had one of these and I’m impressed. It’s very well-made. It has a very nice appearance. It’s easy to use and it was great value for the money. It looks like a very quality piece of work. It easily holds a suet block. My local birds are enjoying it this winter.

I bought this to replace the standard house-shaped feeder with a lid because that type only allows a small amount of seed to sift down into a narrow trough, which my birds don't seem to like. This one is open to the elements, but I like that it is fully meshed so that water and small debris can sift through. The cardinals like it and have been visiting regularly since putting this up.

I like the size and quality of this feeder.It is perfect to use as just with bird seed or since the weather has turned cold I have been placing suet cakes in it. I have several bird an suet feeders and this is by far the one I like the best. It is easy to clean which is another nice feature. Honestly the birds seem to like this type feeder the best. I have seen many more varieties of birds since I started using this feeder. Highly recommend.

These feeders were a little smaller in size than I realized but the birds seem love them just fine. It's not unusual to see 3 or 4 birds comfortably sharing each feeder. The squirrels try to raid them but they don't fit too well in them and usually vacate the feeders quickly. It's such a pleasure to see the variety of birds sharing the feeders that we intend to purchase two more feeders to add to the collection this spring.

I like the fact this 1 suet cake bird feeder has a roof and a wide wire base. The wire base allows me to zip tie or wire down the feeder to my porch rail. I also know wild animals can’t open the cage and get the suet cake out; since you have to remove the arched handle and lift the roof off to access it. It will be easy to refill. The roof color is a bit darker than how it appears in the stock photos and the cage wire seems a tad thinner than the single suet hanging feeders I’ve bought in the past; but neither of these affect its usability. There are currently 2 birds enjoying a feast, so all is good.

These days I get to watch my birds and bird feeders from my home office and I just added these platform feeders because the birds seem to REALLY, REALLY like them better. I still have my tube shaped feeders but this way the birds can swiftly fly in, grab some food and take off! Except for the times they park their fat butts and feed for 30 minutes like they don't want to ever go home again. This is the case for the Red Cardinals and Blue Jays and the Morning doves. They park their fat little selves and eat and eat until they have their fill for the day. Yes, this is a good feeder.
