Minimal noise when making ice. We love the nuggets like Sonic and Frisch's. It's hard not to make a cup just to eat. Within 30 minutes, you have ice. Two bottles of water will provide a bag of ice that equals many cups. We are very pleased within the last couple of weeks owning it. It does not take up too much counter space for it's about the size of a Mr Coffeemaker 12 cup. With s/h, it's more than we would have liked to pay but we are happy with the quality and efficiency

This is a fine ice maker if you want to get on the tiny ice cube bandwagon. It does a pretty good job making the cubes. I guess they're not cubes they're more cylindrical but not perfect spheres either. They do tend to stick together a bit but all ice cubes seem to until you put them in a bag and drop them on a hard floor. This is not going to make a ton of ice. Take a look at the picture of me holding the ice basket. It's not that large. That being said it would be fine for a party with a few friends. When the machine is running it is a bit loud but not as loud as some of the other reviews suggest. It's doing a lot of cooling and requires some fans to be running. I did not mind the noise. The overall footprint is not too bad. You can see in my photo where it sits in comparison to our coffee maker. It does suggest keeping it at least 6 in from the wall when you are running it which makes sense as it needs fresh air to keep things cooling.

This ice machine is easy to use, easy to clean, and takes up very little space. I use spring water in it, but the ice tastes great. The pieces are very small, almost like "slush ice" or "sleet" and soft enough to chew. I recently had surgery and this ice came in very handy afterwards when I was unable to eat solids but needed to stay hydrated. I can not say enough good things about this ice machine!!

I've waited on getting an ice maker for my travel trailer. Had the opportunity to receive one of these and couldn't pass it up!! Out of the box it looks really nice and was super easy to figure out the controls. As it states in its description, it makes crushed, chewable ice. Perfect to fill up a freezer basket with ice and have it readily on hand in the trailer's fridge/freezer. My fridge has the option to run on propane, but while driving I don't really like keeping the propane running. I get to a destination, set the trailer up and get the ice machine running. If I'm there for a few days or more, I'll start regular cube trays in the freezer in addition to the machine's ice. As others have stated, not the best ice for ice chests for long outings but in a smaller one I use for beer/water, works just fine! The self-cleaning part is nice but really, I'd never keep standing water in it too long.

We are preparing for an extended camping trip and I was hoping we could use this ice maker to stock up and not need to purchase ice. But this doens't make that kind of ice, nor would the ice last long enough to be beneficial. My teen loves the icemaker; she runs it constantly and just eats the ice. I would compare this to Sonic ice - good for drinks, but not to keep things cold for an extended amount of time b/c it melts too quickly.

Great for a small house party. Just gotta run it a few hours before the guests arrive. It's pretty easy to operate, but the rinse/clean cycle takes a bit of time to run through. I've used it twice for a couple of house parties and my friends and family all rave about it. Great tasting and textured ice chips too!

I was hoping this was a bit bigger. Says it will make 34 lbs per day but you would be emptying the little basket constantly. The ice is nugget and good, no complaints there but the amount it can hold only will make 3-4 drinks.
