I have had this microphone for weeks now. My PC using Windows 11 Pro easily recognized it. The base weighs enough to keep it in place. I like the flexibility of the shaft which is long enough to adjust as desired. The foam over the mike helps filter unwanted ambient sounds. The rheostat allows sound adjustment from high to low. There is a Green/Red light to indicate if base switch of mike is active or off. Good buy.

I needed a few mics for my desktop machines' voice controls and did not require high-quality, broadcast audio. Was very happy to find this model—I bought two. Level is excellent and hardware volume and mute buttons are super convenient. Excellent build quality. What an incredible value!

Click to play video I was pleasantly surprised how well this mic worked for the price point; compared to the built-in mic that might come with your computer or the mic in your phone, it's a HUGE upgrade, and it's simple to use! Since I'm a recording artist, I thought I'd try using the mic with some musical application (which you can see in the video I posted). For vocals, the recording quality is quite good, but because the voice is so dynamic, the volume is inconsistent, so you would need a lot of compression to make it work. However, the acoustic guitar is not as dynamic, and just from a quick setup, I was able to get some pretty good sounds. If you took the time to record with proper room treatment and strategic mic placement, you could totally get a usable acoustic guitar recording. If you had an “on-the-go” studio with just a laptop, headphones, and interface, this would be a very affordable addition to your set up!

I took a chance and bought this although there was no indication as to whether it would work with Linux. But it was plug and play on my Lubuntu computer (so it likely works with other variations of Ubuntu). I chose this microphone over other similar mikes because, unlike the others, it comes with a windscreen. As for how it sounds, testing it against a more expensive microphone I found it about the same, and with less background noise.

I just purchased another usb microphone as a gift for dear friends. We had such a great experience with the two we purchased for our Zoom meetings. This too, greatly improved their sound quality and especially the omni directional and voice pick up from the sides and direction.. Everyone noticed right away that was listening.

When my built-in mic wasn't as resilient in situations with mechanical background noise like heaters or fans during my broadcasts, I looked to this mic as a low-cost solution and it works great! I do love that it has the flexible gooseneck to ensure that you can position the mic the way you want. I may upgrade to a larger, more sophisticated mic from this brand later, but not out of necessity. This one works great!

After having two Antlion ModMic USB mics break the same way I bought this mic as a backup until I figured out a new solution for a gaming mic. I use headphones through an external DAC/AMP stack so I don't use a gaming headset. That said, I have always used an integrated mic that is close to my mouth since forever. Wanting to maintain that I bought the ModMic. Unfortunately that unit failed the same way twice for me. One lasted just past 2 years, the other under 1 year. Not wanting to get back into that, I was looking for a new solution. I didn't want the obnoxious boom arm connected to the desk. I wasn't sure what I was going to do. So I used this in the meantime. I was shocked at how good the sound quality was. Background noise did transmit, there's no noise cancellation. So if your use case is sensitive to that, it might not be ideal. But in my case, worst I have is a kid in the background. Not a big deal. But I will be using this $20 solution permanent. I would recommend this to anyone who games and talks to friends on Discord in a heartbeat. Save your money for a better GPU, don't spend it on a mic.

Mechanically the implementation is OK. Unfortunately there is too much background noise, likely from the built in amplifier.
