I purchased the Fitbit Alta HR and it was working for a while. Apparently, Google bought out Fitbit recently and slowly but surely the features are no longer working; no longer tracks sleep score, no longer tracks sleep cycles, etc. At one time Fitbit had quality products but, unfortunately, that is no longer the case!

My recent Alta HR Fitbit died, 2 months after the warranty expired. My first one died because I forgot that I had left it on, and I got in a hot tub wearing it. However, I was very careful with my replacement. Yes, I sweated in it, after all, it is for tracking fitness, but I was very careful with it. It began to not hold a charge. I chatted with a Fitbit representative and did everything they asked me to, from cleaning the charging posts, to resetting it, to syncing it multiple times a day. Finally after about a week, they accepted my conclusion; that it was indeed dead. However, because it was out of warranty, they would only give me a 30% discount on a replacement, and that was limited to certain models. Why would I want to purchase another Fitbit and have it die after the warranty had just expired? I like the product, but I am not impressed with the longevity of the product nor the company standing behind their product by making this right in replacing it. It seems that when you pay around $140 for an item, it should last longer. Be aware that they do not last.

Alta HR was great, mine died last week, won't hold a charge more than 8 hours, and I paid $159 here on Amazon 6 years ago. EBAY has them $130 now, but here or there, you're buying a Fitbit they quit making March 2019

I disagree that the band is easier to get on and off on this watch — at least compared to my old Inspire. It uses the same Ernst spring rod as in old watch bands which can easily slip out when you are trying to put the band on and get lost. The holes it fits into are not very easy to see. The Inspire had many more choices of bands and the clasp was easier to use. I could change bands very quickly. I particularly dislike the fact that it is too easy to accidentally turn on the “do not disturb” and not realize it. It’s also not that easy to undo. I also don’t like the rounded screen which keeps screen protectors from staying on. The vibration is too soft so I often miss it if there is a lot of noise, something that didn’t often happen with my Inspire. I depend on the watch to remind me to take medication so it really matters — as does missing texts and phone calls.

I received a flex for christmas and I loved it!!! i have very small wrists. Bought all the bands and necklaces and it died 12 months later. I received the Alta this past christmas, 8 months and it's dead. Again I spent alot of money on different bands.... I have just received the inspire. The box was open so not really confident that this one will last either. Crossing my fingers. The Alta was very clunky and uncomfortable for my wrist. 5 3/4 size. The inspire feels lighter so I'm hoping. Nothing will compare to the flex in comfort and cute bands. The app is fine. I know some people dislike that it is not perfectly accurate. Not sure any of them are. I love the notifications to get up and move. Not too sure if I can buy any more bands! Everyone of these uses different ones. boooo

This is my 3rd Fitbit in 4 years. I will not purchase another. I love the Fitbit itself, is works well, I love tracking my steps, heartrate and exercise. I do find that my steps on exercise equipment and Fitbit are vastly different though... **My problem with Fitbit is that this is the 3rd one that died shortly after the warranty period (1 year in US) is up. Customer service will offer 20% off a new one. No thanks! I want a product that will last longer than 14 months. (also to note, the warranty in Europe on the same product is 2 years). Looking for a new tracker- goodbye Fitbit!

I had a F Alta for several years. It was great, and was always functional as expected. I bought a cheap charger and it caused it to burn up and die. It got very hot, burning my fingers. Fitbit sent me a brand new one without any questions. The new one was dysfunctional and would not sync, no matter what. So I got the Alta HR, second hand. It is almost useless except for keeping time, and passing on texts from my iPhone. The app may be an issue as well. It makes graphs that show my HR has been amazingly high all day, up and down( when I know bu checking the watch that it has not been so. I really wanted to know my HR when I slept, because I have OSA; and during exercise. In both cases, it just stops working completely. The minute I step on the exercise bike- no reading. Same as when I go off to sleep. So it may be a combo of trouble between the app and the watch itself. Either way, terribly inaccurate. Really disappointed. I have added a photo of the ridiculous readings for today, while I was sitting in a chair all day. I have a pulse oximeter, so I know.

An incredibly useful fitness product. It has incredible app and community which sets it apart from any other fitness brand. The design of altar hr is very good for both men and women. If you are looking for something to track your steps and daily calorie count or distance travelled or heart rate, then go for this over any other watch. If you are looking to track other specialised exercises in the gym and also need a few smart watch features the go for a higher model in the fitbit line up.

Love, love, love this Fitbit. I love it so much, I’ve just bought a second one for my cousin. Over a year ago I had a watch that was similar to the Fitbit. It boasted similar abilities and I was happy with it right up until it died about thirteen months after I bought it. I missed having it so much that I hunted for it again on Amazon. It’s no longer for sale, and I realised that I would have to cough up a bit more to buy this Fitbit instead. I can tell you I wasn’t happy with paying this much for something that I had purchased over a year ago for much less for what I believed to be the same abilities. Well, I got my FitBit and downloaded the app from the Apple Store and couldn’t believe how much ‘more’ I was getting for my cash. Also, the quality of the watch far surpasses the old one I had. The battery too seems to last nearly a week; my old one never lasted that long. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Like I said, I just bought a second one.

So Let's Start With My Final Review Which Include:- Box Contents,Design Review,PROs,CONs,Final VERDICT... ---------------------- 📦 Box Contents: ---------------------- 1.FITBIT ALTA HR 2.CHARGING Cable 3.USER Manual ---------------------- 🎀DESIGN REVIEW : ---------------------- As you may know, Fitbit puts fashion first with the Alta, making it the slimmest stylish activity tracker. People love the design of the Alta, that’s why Fitbit doesn’t change much in the design of Fitbit Alta HR. Though integrated the heart rate monitor sensor, Fitbit managed to keep the tracker 15mm in width, making it slimmer 25% than the Fitbit Charge 2. The Flex 2 is even slimmer, at 11mm, but it doesn’t have a screen, thus inconvenient to view information. The band is interchangeable, allowing you to snap to other colors or metal, leather as you wish. A good news for those want to upgrade from Alta to Alta HR is that the Alta bands fit the new Alta HR so your strap collection is still in use. The difference from the old Alta is that Alta HR uses original buckle strap. Fitbit has included a clasp for the elastomer strap this time, making it feel more secure and better for heart rate monitoring. ---------------------- ---------------------- PROs [The GOOD]👍👍 ---------------------- 1.Heart rate monitor This is the key feature of the Alta HR. The tracker continually records your heart rate 24/24, letting you know your resting heart rate and showing real-time heart rate during your workout session. 2.Sleep tracking Fitbit Alta HR is launched with a new feature that has never been seen in other Fitbit devices. That is “Sleep Stages”. It uses the optical heart-rate sensor to show you the amount of time you’ve spent in REM, light sleep or heavy sleep, how often you wake up mid-snooze, so you can monitor how good your night has been. What I find very interesting is that it gives you the sleep trends of other people your same age and gender and offers personalized guidance on how to improve your slumber. Floors climbed tracking The great news is Fitbit has added floor climbed tracking to the Alta HR, which was missed in the Alta. Battery life Thumb up to the 7-day battery life. Given that it is integrated with a heart rate monitor, the Alta HR lasts even longer than the Alta and Charge 2 (5 days). ---------------------- ---------------------- CONs [The Bad]👎👎 ---------------------- 1.Not Waterproof It seems that Fitbit keeps ignoring this function. So for those wish to use a Fitbit tracker for swimming, your choice comes down to the Flex 2. 2.No guided breathing sessions Like other fitness tracker devices of Fitbit, the Alta HR has Smart Track which automatically detects various activities like running and biking. However, it was not integrated the guided breathing sessions like the Charge 2. 3.Not having a timer For some people that are familiar with the timer in the Charge HR, they may feel disappointed to know that there’s no such feature in the Alta HR. ---------------------- ---------------------- 💬 VERDICT: ---------------------- I have to agree that the Fitbit Alta HR is actually is the best slimmest fitness tracker with heart rate monitor. It’s slender, it’s fashionable and it can assist you work out perfectly. If you are having a Fitbit Alta, don’t hesitate to upgrade. If you want a Fitbit that has more functions, then Fitbit Charge 2 is still the number one choice. --------------------- Hope You Like This Review ....If You Like This Review Hit The HelpFul Button...It Matters To Me A Lot And Yes Thankyou Amazon For A FASTER And Safer Delivery(5/5 for AMAZON) --------------------- THANK You
