I have a large back yard, a pool and a stationary hose reel bolted to the house that holds around 250 feet of hose (depending on the hose). During the summer especially, we use this hose a lot. The reel had 200 feet of pretty good quality, heavy duty residential hose on it. That hose lasted over 20 years but was starting to show it's age and had been repaired several times. What's more, my wife hated the stuff. Her primary complaint was how heavy it was. She really struggled to drag it around the yard or wind it back on the reel. So it was time to replace it. My criteria: brass fittings, reasonably heavy duty and durable, decent price. Her criteria, lighter! So I searched the reviews and looked at damn near everything amazon sells and picked this stuff. I ended up buying two 50 foot hoses and one 100 foot hose. So, here's what I think. The hose ends are heavy duty brass and well crimped. The little bits of plastic sleeve on each end are just branding and don't provide any other useful purpose. This isn't a criticism, just an observation. I cut them off. As others have mentioned, the female fittings are crimped a little tight. This makes it somewhat difficult to tighten them without twisting the hose. I put a little white lithium grease on mine and held the things in my hand - twisting back and forth until they lubed up and loosened up. No harm, no foul, I'd rather a little tight than loose. Once that was done, I connected all the sections and stretched the whole thing out in the yard. I connected one end to the faucet (hose reel), slapped a nozzle on the other end and turned on the water. It was a warm summer day, I let the hose fill with water and then went down the entire 200 foot length untwisting and straightening it all out. Then I left it bake in the sun for a couple hours under pressure. After that I turned off the water, and started inspecting the hose. I have about 80lbs of water pressure, left under pressure and cooking in the sun, the hose definitely swelled a little diameter wise, but no bulges or anything untoward. Connections all looked good, no leaks or malfunctions. So, I turned off the water and took off the nozzle and started winding it up on the reel. Now right away I could tell that this stuff was more pliable and significantly lighter then the hose it replaced. I carefully spooled it up on the reel and threaded a brass shutoff and brass quick connector on the end. That was the middle of June, 2023. It's now December 2023. The verdict. I like the stuff, and more importantly, so does my wife. From my perspective, I like the color, it's easy to see and find in the grass, I don't trip over it or worry about not seeing it before I run over it while cutting the grass (you can laugh, but that accounted for one of the previous "repairs" I mentioned earlier). Now, when you pull hose off a reel, it tends to come off pretty straight, which automatically alleviates a bunch of twisting and kinking issues. Still, as you drag this stuff around the yard it keeps its shape pretty well and doesn't twist up or kink. It's flexible and yet "stiff" enough to drag around corners without issue. The hose itself has definitely faded a little colorwise, the end that gets the most use is less orange then the hose that spends most of its time wrapped on the reel, but not unduly so. After a summer of use, I'd have to say it's held up well, without any signs of terminal wear and tear. What does my wife think? She loves the stuff. It's much easier for her to use and wind back up. She really is the primary user, she does 90% of the pool "stuff", plant tending, gardening and watering. If she likes it, I'm good. So, we'll see, in a couple more years, if this hose doesn't hold up, I'll come back and let you know. For now I'd have to say, if you need a new hose, try this stuff.

I’ve been using the Flexzilla Garden Lead-In Hose for over 6 months now, and it has been fantastic. As someone living full-time in an RV, having clean, safe water is a top priority, and this hose delivers just that. The water tastes great with no strange plastic or chemical aftertaste, which I’ve had issues with in the past from other hoses. The hose is lightweight, durable, and easy to maneuver, even when it’s fully extended. It’s flexible and doesn’t kink, which makes it much easier to handle compared to other hoses I’ve used. I appreciate that it’s also drinking water safe, which is a must-have for anyone using it for an RV or camper setup. After 6 months of daily use, it still performs like new. No signs of wear, no leaks, and the ZillaGreen color is a nice touch. Overall, it’s been a great investment for RV living, and I highly recommend it to anyone who values clean, safe water and needs a hose that can handle everyday use! Just make sure you get one that is long enough, as not all hookups are the same, and if you travel a lot, you may need a longer hose than you think to be able to reach the water hookups. The threads are good and clean even after hundreds of connects and disconnects.

I am an avid gardner and outside DIY'er and am always needing a hose. For years I have struggled with crappy hoses getting all twisted and kinked even tho they all said "kink resistant". I had some sod laid in my front yard last week and my landscape guy said I needed to water the grass to keep it alive. He said they would turn on the sprinkler for me but my old hose was so kinked up he didn't want to mess with it, that was the final straw! I had recently ordered a flexzilla pressure washer hose and I loved it. When I found out they also made garden hoses I knew that I had to get one! I have only been able to use this a couple times because it has been storming since getting it, but it was like a dream come true! I put this one in my front yard and am now going to order one for my back yard faucet as well! They are a little more pricy than regular hoses but for how well they resist kinks and getting tangled I believe the cost is worth it! Plus they have a lifetime guarantee, so hopefully these will be the last hoses I will ever need to buy. That in itself willl more than make up for the cost vs buying a new one every 3-4 years.

I have two of these, a 100-foot and a 50-foot. Pro: The hose is very flexible and rarely ever kinks. Con: The hoses develop some mold on the outside, ranging from black to orange. I am currently soaking them in three parts water and one part bleach. Normally, this combination will kill all of the green mold that develops on my brick porch steps (usually within 15 minutes). I have been soaking one hose in three parts water, one part bleach, and liquid Dawn for almost two hours. There doesn't seem to be any improvement (I scrub each hose section also). Has anyone had any luck with any other treatments?

I bought the Flexzilla 5/8" x 5' lead-in hose to connect to my water source at the school steer barn and it’s been perfect. The build quality is excellent, it feels rugged and durable without being heavy or stiff. The bright green color is a nice touch too, making it easy to spot. What really impressed me is how flexible it stays, even in cooler temperatures. It lays flat and doesn't fight you like traditional hoses. Plus, it truly lives up to the “no kink” claim, no more struggling to untwist the hose while watering. The fittings are solid metal and don’t leak at all when tightened properly. It’s exactly what I needed for a short connection, and I’ll definitely be buying more Flexzilla products in the future. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality short hose!

Buena calidad 👍

I bought this hose to connect my pressure washer to my house water outlet. I selected this particular hose for several reasons. First, it was the correct length for my application. It is hard to find short-length hoses … with most common lengths typically are 50+ feet long. Second, the Flexilla brand is known to build flexible, lightweight and durable hoses. I prefer to buy good products and buy them once … without having to replace them every year or so. Pros: The hose was the correct length to connect my pressure washer to my house water outlet. The hose is very flexible. I run mine around a 90-degree corner … from my water outlet, up a wall and into my wall mounted pressure washer. No kinks at the 90-degree corner, anywhere along the hose or at the connections. The hose is lightweight (which is not a big factor when used for a short run application). More importantly, the hose appears well-build (both the hose line and the end connections) and durable. The hose diameter has no problem providing sufficient water flow to supply my pressure washer. There certainly are no bulges anywhere along the hose line. Cons: None identified to-date. I haven’t had much luck with hoses over time. I am pleased to think that this hose is going to last a long time. Recommendation: Based on my purchase of this hose, I highly recommend Flexilla hoses. My Flexilla hose is flexible, lightweight and appears to be built to be durable. The hose that I bought also met my criteria of needing a 10-foot hose.
