Seeing McCafe coffee prices going up, I needed to find a replacement for my morning caffeine, so after reading some of the reviews, I bought FRC. As soon as it arrived, I wanted to test that with this low price, how will it taste? So, within 1 minute of arrival, the cup went in the machine. I was not disappointed. Smooth rich flavor with barely a note of bitterness. The flavor is that of a premium quality roasted coffee. I will definitely be buying FRC Medium Roast (and maybe even some others now) after trying it for the first time.

Fresh Roasted Coffee’s Italian Roast is a fair value coffee. It is not a gourmet coffee that you would get in an upscale restaurant. But it is nicely flavored for an inexpensive k-cup. It has a nice aroma and a very flavorful taste that hits all the parts of the mouth. It is satisfying for that first morning gulp of Joe. I am far from being a coffee snob or connoisseur. I just want a morning coffee that tastes good and is satisfying as I start my day. FRC’s Italian Roast is just that and a little more. This Italian roast is a flavorful morning starter that gets my day off to a pleasant beginning. So, if you want a good tasting coffee that is easy on the wallet I recommend Fresh Roasted Coffee’s Italian Roast. It is a more than decent coffee for the money, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

This is pretty good coffee...Its not bitter but does have a pleasant flavor, and its not overly strong either . Its actually much more mellow and laid back than I thought it would be before purchase. I would rate it above average as far as k-kup coffees go and outstanding as a bargain brand. I liked it better than the FRC Medium from the same brand which is also pretty good but this one has more flavor, while maintaining the non bitter status. Black Beards Revenge, I would buy it again.

i love the taste & smell of good coffee. my usual is dark roast espresso. i happen to be looking for some french roast for my husband and came across this brand of dark roast coffee. for the price i couldn’t resist trying it for my self. i am so glad i did. there is zero bitterness that’s usually associated with dark coffee. very smooth and delicious. my usual is 1 cup in morning , i’m now 2 cups in morning. my husband doesn’t care for it due to being dark roast. i would recommend to anyone loving dark roast, and / or espresso. it’s perfect for that espresso latte or cappuccino.

The price is nice, but in this case, a different product may have been a better choice. The coffee pods I received are failing quite often. I'd estimate 30-40% of the time. That means coffee grounds in my cup, dribbled down the front of my coffee maker, and spilled on my counter top. While the taste is good, the performance is not, and I'm tired of having to clean it all up after making a cup. I don't plan to purchase this item again.

Great taste. Try the variety organic as well. I usually use cream but the flavor is so good I drink this black too. No bitterness. I like the fact that the cups are easier to recycle as they come with the plant fiber type liners and you can take the top label off without 5 minutes of labor. Yes it's just coffee but it is coffee done right. There are a lot of non organic brands out there that cost more and don't give you as much flavor as this brand. *Recommended*

The Italian pods have a good flavor with no bitterness or burnt taste. They are not as dark as the Sam’s club (members mark) Columbia pods that I usually get, however those do have a slight burnt taste. These pods also don’t have an odd or off smell and smell like coffee should. I just turned the size of the cup on my Keurig down one (very middle of 5 settings). The picture has 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/4 tsp cream

So when I ordered this coffee I doubled the order so the shipping was not as steep. I usually drink my coffee with frothed milk. I made my first cup as recommended @ 8 oz. - it was much to weak for me. Another reviewer suggested that it can be ordered in DARK roast, but I have not found it. I solved it by making it with two pods @ 4 oz. Best coffee I've found in a long time. Worth the extra cost - now I usually only have one coffee made with 2 pods.
