I’ve tried a lot of different cat litters over the years, and Fresh Step Heavy Duty Advanced has definitely impressed me. With multiple pets in my home, odor control is a top priority, and this litter actually delivers on its 30-day odor control claim. The odor-eliminating carbon really makes a difference, especially compared to other brands that start to smell within a few days. The clumping power is solid—waste is easy to scoop, and I don’t get that annoying crumbling that some litters have. I also love that it doesn’t kick up a ton of dust when pouring, which is a big plus for my allergies. One thing to note is that it’s a bit heavier than some other litters, but that’s expected for such a high-performance formula. The 17.5 lb box lasts me a while, even with multiple cats, so I find it to be a good value.

This is the only kitty litter I buy. It absolutely is the BEST litter on the market. When I have tried other brands, I can smell the box all through the house. With this litter, not so! It hides the smell well and clumps perfectly. I will only purchase this litter for as long as I have a cat.

I really liked this cat litter—the fresh, game-like scent was pleasant, and the clumping action worked great, making cleanup easy. Unfortunately, we had to switch to another formula by the same brand because this one tracked all over the house, which became a bit too much to manage. Highly recommended overall, but I wish it had worked better for our space and setup

Fresh Step is hands down the best litter available. It is a little more pricey than some but well worth it. Clumps better than the competitors and good odor control. Lower tracking than the lightweight versions.

The litter itself is great and definitely produces clean clumps and prevents odors. The issues I have with it, however, and that the scent is so strong it’s almost nauseating if you live in a smaller space (apartment or keep in bathroom, for example). The scent also lingers on your cat’s paws for a good while, and for people sensitive to strong odors this could be quite irritating—I would imagine this isn’t great for your furry friends either. Secondly, if you dump a considerable amount of litter out to fill a box completely, the litter is quite dusty and will take awhile to settle. I don’t think it’s safe to breathe any of that in. Other than that, I appreciate the utility and cost of this litter, but I definitely prefer some other brands I’ve purchased in the past due to the overbearing odor situation, primarily.

Works well. Cats seem to like it. Slight perfume but keeps the litter box from getting smelly. Lasts a long time. Heavy. They do track it.

This litter is absolutely amazing! It clumps well and masks alot of the smell. The only bad thing I can say about it is the dust. You have to pour it in slowly or you will have alot of dust in the air. Other than that, it works perfectly!

this stuff actually works! I have one very large male cat and he goes alot, so this has been a back-saver for me as I don't have to scoop out more than twice a week, and I have a nicely scented laundry room afterwards, not an amonia-scented one.Clumping is great, weight of the smaller box is ideal for my back issues; tracking is the usual, this always depends on your cat's paw size if you think about it! He has immensely huge paws with posable thumbs! LOL

I have tried another clumping litter (A&H Premium etc) which was very good, but although I initially liked it - and it didn't smell of urine etc it had a heavy/unpleasant odour on its own. So after a few months, I tried this Fresh Step with Fabreze and while my 6 mo. old kitten hesitated and sniffed at it she has readily accepted it, Two weeks and it still smells fresh (I clean it at least twice daily) . It isn't quite as heavy as the A&H, so on one of her litter boxes a few grains come out with her (the second litter box has a higher grate that catches virtually all of any granules on her paws. I really like this one and have re-ordered it. I am pleased to have found this particular brand. It's pricey - but smells great and works as it should. I definitely recommend this choice!!!
