Five shelves plus the bottom hold plenty. A large turkey may not fit, but I cannot imagine anything else that wouldn't. I have 2 large fryers on one shelf with other items. It is so much easier to find items than the drawer style freezer on our refrigerator (where I now have the space to put the turkey).. An outside refrigerator in a laundry room has been emptied except for "blue ice" type freezer items used for my Igloo ice chests. I have room for everything I need to freeze. Unless you are a fisherman with hundreds of fish, or have recently butchered a cow or have a huge family. I would highly recommended this freezer. It is only 21 inches across, so it easily fits in tight places. It's only about 5 feet tall, so Items can be placed on the top and easily seen.

Despite comments this freezer ices up quickly, I purchased one. Sure enough, after 2 days the inside was full of ice. However, I have solved this problem. The icing occurs because warm air is attracted to cold air and when the seal does not seat well to the frame, ice is formed. A simple solution solved the problem. I inserted a piece of paper between the seal and the metal frame and moved it up and down until I located an area where there was no friction and that indicated where the warm air was invading the freezer. Next I used a hair dryer to soften the seal where the leak was noted on both the inside and outside of the seal. This took about 3 minutes. When the seal was softened, i gently pull the seal apart and then closed the door. The whole project took less than 10 minutes. After one week, still no ice on the inside of the freezer and everything is working great! Although it was probably not part of the problem, I removed the plastic cover from the outside of the freezer which also covered the part of the frame where the seal met the frame.

I needed to replace my compact chest freezer and I wrongly assumed the most efficient way would be through Amazon. I am a huge proponent of brick & mortar stores for these type of items, but with everything on back order or unavailable for over the counter purchases these days, I ventured outside my comfort zone. Not again. One or two photos won't cover half of the shipping container damage or make a "dent" in the actual freezer damage itself. (bad pun) Sad part also is my confirmation email had the words "new freezer" Quick list: 1)Freezer door has a double dimple dent, I am at a lost as to what could have possibly caused it. 2) Both the back and one side have a mini crater the size of a quarter. 3) The top front plastic trim has a fracture around a screw hole. I know what your thinking, quit b****ing and return it. Sorry, but the items I need to put in it far exceed the value of the freezer so I am kind of stuck. I hope it works. I can live with an imperfect appliance, but the fact that all on through from the warehouse supervisor, on to the the person loading the van and then the driver who delivers it, I still end up with something that has obvious issues just from looking at it. I am sure the instructions come from the top to just get it door to door, quality is not your problem. It is up to we the consumer to regulate quality control by returning things. It wasn't long ago it was the vendor that held that responsibility and had pride in their work. If I performed like this at my job, our clients wouldn't pay us. How complacent of a society we all have become, myself included. I will get off my soap box now and see if the freezer is coming down to temp. I am not looking forward to boxing this thing back up if it isn't working. Thank you for your time.

I have had this freezer for two months not any frost build up at all I live in a colder climate but when I open the door it sticks hard like it's sealed really tight and hard to open and when I close it you here it sucking it closed with pressure I have the setting on number 2 and it is at -10° this is a very nice fridge it did not come damaged at all although it is very light for a freezer and I could definantly see it being damaged if not handled with care it only takes about $40 of electricity a year it's energy efficient and very nice good looking not to bulky the one thing I can tell you is if you buy one when it is delivered put it where you want it and leave it upright for a day or two before plugging it in or you could damage the internals of it otherwise more then happy with this one thumbs up to Amazon..

Within minutes of ordering this I started reading reviews and almost cancelled the order . Apparently 9 out 10 seem to be delivered with some kind of damage . Freezer was delivered , box showed no damage and because it spent all day in the delivery truck standing upright , there was no reason to wait before unboxing and plugging in right away . I got to say I was absolutely shocked , the freezer was well protected by the packing and was in perfect new condition ... no dents , no scratches , nothing broken .... plugged it in and it was down to zero in about 2 hours ... its a few weeks now and is about 1/2 full with food and is maintaining -8 below zero with no issues and a very minimal amount of very light frost ... I am glad I didn't cancel after reading the reviews ! Perfect size , great price and in stock with 2 day free delivery ... Can't wait till Amazon starts selling robots

The freezer doesn’t cool when it was delivered it was left on the sidewalk laying down. The manufacturer says that would cause a problem with compressor.
