Based on the wildly inconsistent reviews, it appears that one of two things is happening. Either customers have received gloves that are a separate model from what is listed on the Amazon page, or the same model was produced at different manufacturers because of varying prices. What I can tell you for sure is that the gloves I received are 5 star all the way! They are comfortable, the inside is nonslip, the outside genuine cowhide, and they have protected my hands much better than the typical cloth gloves I have bought in the past. So far I have used one pair for about one month. I have been trimming Brazilian Pepper trees and have fallen into the wetlands several times, avoided thorn wounds from different palm trees, deflected fire ant bites and a spider bite, and managed not to contract poison ivy. I have used them with various saws, hammers, machetes and shovels. And they still show no damage or wear-and-tear. I noticed the following differences when comparing the Amazon page to the actual gloves that I received: 1. The model number on the Amazon page is 6003. The gloves I received are 6103. 2. My gloves have a reinforced palm, a feature not shown on the Amazon page. 3. There is a black border around the bottom of the glove on the Amazon page, but not on the gloves I received. 4. The stitching on the side of the thumb is interior instead of exterior as shown on the picture. 5. The actual thumb on my glove was sewn quite robustly to the palm of the glove, totally different than the picture. In this case it appears that I received a much better constructed glove than pictured on the Amazon page. If other reviewers compare the gloves they received to those pictured on Amazon, my guess would be that they received what they paid for--and not the superior gloves delivered to me. I don't know how to rectify this but hopefully Amazon will pick it up from this review.

I purchased the cold weather, lined version. They are 100% leather exterior, lined with warm, thick internal fabric. Size up, they run small. I've tried several other products which have disappointed, but, I am very satisfied with these gloves. I will purchase them again.

Made better than I expected. However, they're made small. I wear xl gloves which are what I purchased but they're closer to a large - pretty tight. Leather, so they stretch and after a while work fine. If you wear a large, get the xl. If you wear an xl like me then look elsewhere.

These are a good value for the money. Granted, I’m tough on gloves. I build stonewalls. However, they have great wear durability but their stitch seams could use stronger thread and improvement. They are reasonably warm for cold weather and I get reasonable wear length from each pair. For everyday regular use, they'd probably last a long time.

Excellent leather work gloves. I have used these gloves intensively while gardening, and at work to carry cinder blocks and other building materials, and they have held up much longer than other work gloves I've purchased. They are a bit stiff at first, but will eventually become more flexible and form to your hands. I still have all 3 original pairs, although I did place another order for more. They are a great value for the price, and are just as tough, and rugged as your typical name brands. Great to have for the garden, great to have in a tool box, and great to have in your car for an emergency.

MUCH better quality, inexpensive leather gloves than the ones HD is selling now. I go through at least 3 pairs of gloves in the summer (Arizona gardening is hard on everything) and leather is best for dealing with cactus and other spiny, pokey things. These fit well (I got medium, I'm a medium-sized woman with less-than-delicate hands so small just never works), are durable and comfortable. I'll definitely be buying them again.

I really like these gloves. They are priced right. I have been using these to process firewood, tear down barbed wire fence, clean rosebushes out of fence-rows, and other rough work. A briar or barb will not pass through the leather, so I can work confidently. They eventually wear out, but not any faster than expensive gloves. The fit is not perfect out of the bag, but it does not take long to break them in.

I work in a refrigerated warehouse driving a forklift and these gloves work great. They are warm and I'm still able to control the forklift toggle switches. Definitely recommend

The gloves that fit properly are quite comfortable and warm. There is one glove that is much smaller than the others and is unusable by me.
