I've used every "big name" guitar cable you can think of and for the price and build quality, GLS Audio cables are impressive. I just ordered my first GLS cable and after roughly 10 gigs and numerous rehearsals, the cable has performed flawlessly (to this point). Quiet, great sturdy feel, classic tweed look (I play through boutique and vintage gear so the aesthetics are a nice touch), and the service after sale goes a long way as well. By that, I mean that the owner of GLS Audio (Bryan) reached out via email thanking me for the purchase and asking for an honest review of their product. I know that "please review us" prompt is part of the overall marketing mix to build customer/consumer loyalty but that attention to detail is a major P.O.D. in a highly competitive and crowded market segment. Kudos to you, Bryan/team! Also, for what it's worth, I gig a lot and talk a lot (if you haven't figured that out yet by this review!) so any consideration in the form of a modest product endorsement would be greatly appreciated! No need to provide product even, I would just like to align with a company that "keeps it real" and makes quality gear for working players. You really can't go wrong with these cables at this price point. 5 of 5 stars!

I've been a musician now for about 15 years and I've used a variety of cables during that time. From no-name cables that come bundled with cheap starter amps, and plenty of 5-30 dollar cables from some of the biggest guitar brands, I've tried quite a few. For the price, I don't think this cable has much, if any competition. The feeling in the hand of the materials is very solid, but also comfortable/soft. The cable is lightweight and feels durable. The outer fabric/material feels very solid and doesn't seem prone to splitting/fraying whatsoever. The cable doesn't tangle easily and feels sturdy to the touch and tough to bend/crease. A common issue with cables, especially more affordable ones, are the cable ends bending and causing the cable to short out. It seems they recognized this issue and have wrapped the ends with a thick rubber wrap to reinforce it at the areas prone to damage. The only flaw I imagine anyone having with this cable would be the color, but to be honest I love the vintage yellow/brown look. It would be cool if they offered a secondary color option, perhaps a black/blue color or white/red to fit different artist's tastes and perhaps that is an avenue to improve upon. All in all for the price I am very happy with this cable. I just plug it in and forget about it. It doesn't get in the way, it's reliable, no hum/hiss/noise, and it's affordable. Are there better cables out there? Probably. Should you spend five times the price for a 20% better cable? Unless you're filling stadiums and making a living performing songs to thousands of people, I don't believe so. Take care of this cable and it will last you for years to come.

The fittings made good, solid contact with my ukulele pick up and amp. The gold color makes the cord visible to avoid tripping or crimping the cord. I reviewed some online videos on how to properly coil a long cord so that it would uncoil smoothly without kinking. That was a game changer. Now this cord coils and uncoils perfectly every time. The cord is flexible and easy to use.

I've had this cable for a couple of years, I think. It's been my main cable pretty much since I bought it. Now I'm into a bit of a rabbit hole with cables. I've been trying out a few other cables, and it's starting to dawn on me why I keep coming back to this cable. Getting particulars out of the way: This is a reasonably high quality cable for not a lot of money. It's well constructed, with good quality materials. It doesn't make unwanted signal noise when I move it around on the floor. And the metal sleeves are nice and tight, so I don't have to struggle keeping them fastened, like I do with some of my other cables. In this rabbit hole about cables, my ears are getting a little more attuned to variables in my signal chain. I'm starting to understand how important a good cable can be. Just yesterday I was using one of the new cables, and I was very unhappy with my sound. I wasn't hearing what I wanted to hear. I heard too much bottom end, and not enough sparkle in the top end. It was so frustrating that I stopped playing, and I almost gave up for the day. My ears can hear when something's wrong. I may not be able to articulate it exactly, but I'm getting better at spotting differences. Thankfully, I didn't give up. I decided to put away the new cable and use this one instead, my main cable. As I expected, it sounded suddenly right. The sound I was chasing was in focus again, and the day was saved. This cable has become a part of that sound. And truly, this isn't the first time I've realized it--it's just becoming more obvious now. I've used other cables with other guitars, and they don't sound the same after this one. I know that part of the truth of this is that for two years, I've been dialing sounds with this cable, so my signal chain has become tuned to this cable. So I'm not saying this is a magical cable or anything, but I do know when it sounds right, and I know I get the sounds I'm trying to get when I'm plugged in with this cable. That's enough to convince me it's good. Yesterday's issue was a eureka moment for me, and all was right in my small world again. Now I know that the right cable can be a significant contributing factor to a good guitar tone. I may have to get another.

This is the best guitar cable I have used so far. It is insanely silent. Very very useful for recording purpose. Buy it guys. It is cheap according to its quality it provides and also cheap in comparison to its competitors.

The GLS Audio Guitar Cable is made of high quality material and has operated as intended since I received it about one month ago. I have no reason to think that I will have any issues with it as you sometimes do with cables of lesser quality ... and it has a cool vintage look
