These are solid, high quality connectors that are extremely easy to install and function flawlessly. Be certain to use the Black stress relief insert for larger diameter cables, or the White insert for smaller cable. The ease of movement of the latch seems affected by the degree to which the rear Blue clamp is tightened when screwed on. The outer casing of the connector (containing the latch) serves nicely as a wire stripping gauge: Use the length of the larger diameter portion with the latch for stripping the outer rubber jacket Use the length of the smaller diameter threaded portion for stripping the wires themselves. I recently purchased a 100' 12AWG speaker cable, cut it in half, then cut one of the halves in half. Utilizing these connectors, I now have two 25', and one 50' speaker cable... which means that (with a Male-Male connector added), I have two 25' OR two 50' speaker cables at my disposal.

I needed speakon ends for my stage monitors and knew making my own cables was the best option. 30 and 50 foot cables were way more than I spent making my own! The GLS Audio plugs were a perfect match to the monitor inputs and are very well made. They came with two different internal cable clamp sections to accommodate large and small speaker cable. I have another install coming in the next few months and will be buying more. Great price, excellent quality!!

I don’t have much basis for comparison since this is the first time using SpeakON connections. The build seems solid and they work great, it was easy to put them on the cable ends. I can save some headaches for others. The labels on the poles are really hard to see. Magnification and really bright light makes it possible. The photo shows the position of +1 and -1, they are the two with screws facing up on the same side as the wider raised tab at the end with +1 higher up on the right.

Easy to assemble, no operational issues

A quality product for a price that is flat out unbeatable. I had an issue where one of them had a clamp that was melted from the factory, so I contacted GLS directly through the Amazon seller option. I did not request anything, but wanted to let them know what occurred so they would know. The connector worked fine, it was just the black clamp for heavy wire that was the issue, so I didn't make a fuss. The GLS Owner contacted me within 48 hours and apologized and told me not to worry and that I could toss the defective one and he would send me a new set. To Say the least I was floored. I have never had such great service from a company, and to find out they are a family owned company! I will never forget this, and after experiencing the quality and affordability of GLS products and being in the industry for more than 28 years, I will continue to be a customer and strongly recommend them to everyone in the industry.

At first I didn't see the pole indicators but I knew certainly they were there somewhere. Not to mention my poor eyesight. Got my glasses on and there they were!some folks said they didn't have indicators but that is simply not true. Just finished building cables and I am impressed with these connectors. Easy to solder to, nice build. I will definitely use these from now on. Zero problems for me. I also saw where some folks had trouble plugging them in, I never encountered this.

These generic Speakon connectors work great. They may not be quite as good as the originals, but they make a lot of sense for enthusiasts. The price is right. The build quality is fine. And they are very easy to use. If you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with these connectors. I used them to create cables for my Behringer 215XLs. They work great!

I purchased these to build speaker wire harness for a Benchmark AHB2 amplifier which uses Neutrik brand NL2/4 female connectors. After building the harness I tried to insert and was not able to make the 1/4 turn rotation to finish the mate. I tried this with 2 of the 4 connectors and had the same issue. To trouble shoot I left the aft assembly off, using only the male portion of the connector and was able to get the rotation I was looking for. After doing this I assembled without any wire attached and tried the 1/4 mate again. It still would not turn. There appears to be a dimension off that won't allow the assembly to mate properly. I debated trimming the "nub" to get it to work, but ultimately ended up buying a Neutrik brand connector and it worked no problem.
