I really like this grow light set. The included tripod is adjustable in height, easy to set up and adjust, and very stable. The light can also be unscrewed from its stand, and an included hanger screwed into the same location on the light base, allowing it to be inverted and hung from above as opposed to floor-standing. An adjustable pulley hanger is also included for this option. The lights are full-spectrum making this suitable for all stages of plant growth, and can be turned and angled individually for optimal positioning. There is also a built-in timer, which, once activated, allows for 4, 8, or 12 hour cycles. The timer is a 24-hour timer, so it will repeat the desired setting ever 24-hour period. So the "8 hour" setting, as opposed to working in cycles of 8 on followed by 8 off and then repeating, will run the light for eight hours, then turn off until the same time the following day, at which time it will run for another 8 hours. That's important to know, as this allows for using to supplement times of poor natural light, or when needing 12 hours or less on a timer, but would not allow for back-to-back cycling (for anything other than the 12-hour setting) outside of a 24-hour cycle, but the light can certainly be turned on and off manually or ran continuously should you want to use other photoperiods. I use this in a room that gets natural sunlight, albeit poor at times, so I run it at 12-hours on/off during the day to provide better lighting to my plants regardless of the day's natural light availability. The garden is thriving, everything is healthy and vibrant, and this light is a major contributor to it's health. Great product.

I really don’t know what I’d do without these grow lights. I live in Colorado, where it’s currently 25 degrees outside as I write this — and my plant collection has had to come indoors for the winter. However, I have very limited window space and annoying vertical blinds, so these grow lights are absolutely crucial for keeping my babies alive from October to May. I’m so grateful for the way these lights can be easily adjusted to shine bright upon all sorts of plants, and they’re not obtrusive or obstructive at all when attached to my plant stand. I’m sitting in the living room right near the lights, and the colors of the LEDs aren’t oppressive at all. Yet they’re also strong enough for my grow tray of succulent cuttings to have taken off with flying colors, and my light-hungry echeverias seem to be quite pleased. (Seriously, echeverias are GREEDY for light. The fact that they haven't etiolated speaks volumes.) The massive clip that the lights are attached to is nice and sturdy, and they work well with my automated smart outlet so that I can have them come on before I wake up and turn off at a set time each night. It’s also very easy to position the lights in very precise ways so that you can ensure all of your plants are getting what they need. Plus, since they’re LED-based, they don’t radiate heat or become hot to the touch — which is great for you and for the plants themselves. My succulents and cacti are thriving and my tiny little propagations are nourished, so I’m happy. These lights even got a shriveled-up aeonium tree I ordered from Etsy to open up and reveal massive blooms. And they got a pretty little cactus to reveal her gorgeous flowers! Excellent grow lights, very happy with my experience. Would recommend!

I have an avocado tree that I had to put in the garage because it got scales. I'm in a northern climate so it can't go outside in the winter and I needed a grow light because there are no windows in the garage. This was perfect because it stands nearly six feet tall and I was able to stand it right next to my avocado tree. It has a timer option for 4, 8 or 12 hours. The cord is really long which is great when outlets are hard to come by. The light is very bright and so far my tree is doing well. The light was very easy to set up, you can hang it from the ceiling or use the telescoping tripod. The telescoping stand was easy to set up and within minutes I had it set up and in place. The only con is that the telescoping base feels a bit flimsy. But I do have it set as high as it will go. The individual lights can be moved and adjusted around a bit to better suite individual needs. Very happy with this!

Different people look for different characteristics in grow lights to meet different botanical needs. These lights are absolutely perfect for me. I have a number of potted plants -- both annuals and perrenials -- and with these bright, full natural sunlight spectrum lights on them they are as green and full of flowers in February as they might be in July. The lights are mounted on easy-to-adjust but very stable goosenecks on top of a tripod that is very sturdy and can go up to just under 6 feet. You also have the option of hanging the array from the ceiling. They are LED, so they use relatively little power, and you operate them from a small panel that is attached to the power cord. There is one button for on/off, and three other buttons you can press to put the lights on a 4, 8 or 12 hour timing cycle. Just hit the right button and the timer is set. Some will complain that there are no controls for brightness or color, but I have found that I never use that kind of adjustment -- I simply set my lights for full natural spectrum and maximum brightness, which is the default setting with these lights. Again, other folks may be looking for something different, but for me these are the best grow lights I have ever found.
