Play Video Let me preface this by saying I chose this one after buying, trying, and then returning the Apple Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch, FitBit, and a couple of other lesser-known brands. I actually went with a Garmin Venu Sq. 2 first and I loved it, at which point I bought this one due to the beautiful, large AMOLED screen and because it runs on the sand base software. That’s a GOOD thing, so let me elaborate. This is by far the most accurate watch for counting the total calories burned. The Apple Watch simply did not let me view the TOTAL calories burned, as it would show your estimated basal metabolic rate and then stack the active expenditure in a separate category, so you’d have to go back and forth to view each one and then add it up. The Galaxy watch suffered a similar problem, but it was not that accurate at measuring steps, which would directly affect the caloric expenditure. The FitBit was just WILDLY inaccurate and once told me I burned 5000+ calories in a day because I had a panic episode after something bad happened in my personal life, and so that night it registered me as having burned thousands of calories just laying in bed. The Garmin, however, did everything right (accurate steps that match the ones my iPhone said to within 5%, heart rate matched a professional blood pressure cuff, and the calorie counter tracked my weight loss exactly). It is extremely useful when counting calories where a slim margin is needed, such as aiming to lose 750 calories a day to lose 1.5 lbs/week. It it’s off by just 100 or 200, that’s already a half pound off, or 26 pounds a year. It is extremely important to me that it gets it right. It also has a ton of features, but I don’t use them honestly. It’s very easy to connect and set up, too. The price is subjectively fair but objectively it is quite high. Regardless, I am very pleased with it. The battery life is EXCELLENT if you turn Bluetooth and WiFi off, too. 5/5 all around!

This fits my wrist perfectly. I love the color options. I chose the ivory and love it. I can wear it with almost every outfit and not worry about it standing out. It’s very light and not heavy feeling on your wrist. This is the first watch I’ve had with sleep tracking and I love it. It seems to be pretty accurate, I’m up feeding my baby during the night and it shows I’m up at those times, so it is tracking correctly. I’ve used it to run on the treadmill and I like how I can adjust the mileage at the end of my run/walk to match the treadmill for more accurate tracking.

I have always used a Galaxy watch for smartwatch features BUT I am familiar with the Garmin Watch ecoshpere since i use Garmin to train for races. Overview: This is a great *entry level* smartwatch with lots of great Workout options and statistics. But as a smartwatch, this Venu line still has a way to go to becoming a mature smartwatch. Honestly, I think the Galaxy smartwatches still have a great workout interface but the sensors are terrible on those watches. Do I use it, yes. But I'm waiting to see what Garmin does next in this line up. Sports Watch:solid 4 stars. / Smartwatch: closer to 3.5 stars. Details: The battery life (upto 12 days) is amazing when AOD is off! Max 3 Days when AOD is used. But even after a workout, I like I still get a few days of charge left. Ease of use- Notifications work well and are basic. The API is the Garmin standard. So if familiar, easy to navigate. But then it makes the smartwatch portion feel clunky. The watch has three physical buttons. The main reason why i need to use a button is to enable/disable AOD. It takes 1 button tap plus three screen taps. Why not just add it to the Control menu, its a 1 button press!? I do like using the buttons for shortcuts, for instance to turn on the flashlight. But then you are limited to the three apps for shortcuts. I don't find that the watch refreshes its apps fast enough. For instance, when using the Stock price app(in garmin IQ app), the watch does not have the most up to date info. You need that for following stocks!? When using the watch in workout mode, the button use and screen taps can be confusing since you have to use both to navigate the workout? Especially when pausing a workout. You can't pause and restart your workout like other garmin watches? I have found that the altimeter is not very accurate. But the other stats seem to work well. I think the sleep tracker works well, except doesn't always detects my naps, which is an advertised feature. The ECG app works super well! I like that the watch can actively report my location if Im in distress. The watch needs to better use the swipping motions for shortcuts. It took me a while to distinguish between a button hold and a quick tap to know how to bring it up the main Control menu. The face swiping is a bit laggy. In just trying to select a new watchcace, it takes the watch like 2 seconds to select a new one? Some features, I stumbled on. There is a Screen Lock control that locks the screen from unwanted taps or when water hits it. I use this quite often. Do not disturb works well. Answering phone calls from the watch is also a super handy option. Connectivity– I am surprised with Bluetooth connectivity. It feels like the range is like 6 feet before it disconnects from my phone. That is very short when compared to Galaxy Watches. Watch band- It is super lite. I barely feel the watch on my wrist with the band. But there are not alot of options for bands on this watch. Here is where all Garmin Watches are limited: The Connect IQ App store. I have not been impressed by this at all. I have found like three watchfaces that I like. The rest seem too basic. And there isn't alot of variety in watch apps. I still have not found a heart rate focused watchface!? For how expensive the watch is i wish it was more polished.

Já tinha um Venu 2 e comprei o Venu 3, que trouxe melhorias em relação ao modelo anterior, como saída de áudio na caixa do relógio, um terceiro botão lateral para navegação e informações durante a execução dos treinos em áudio. Para quem utiliza o dispositivo para monitoramento de atividade física (corrida, ciclismo e musculação, no meu caso), hidratação, sono e medidas corporais, é um aliado premium. Uma ótima relação custo X benefício.

O relógio é lindo! Tem todas as funções de um esportivo, porém com design elegante. É o meu primeiro Garmin e estou muito satisfeita. Tinha o mesmo Apple Watch há 8 anos e como a bateria começou a ficar ruim decidi comprar outro smart Watch. Fiquei na dúvida entre Apple e Garmin, acabei escolhendo o Venu 3S após muita pesquisa e, principalmente, pelas funcionalidades, duração da bateria e design. Meu pulso é bem fino e o tamanho ficou ótimo!

I’ve been an Apple Watch user for almost ten years. I had been debating switching to a garmin and watching videos on them for quite some time. I was hesitant to make the switch because I was worried about integration. I decided to buy the Garmin Venu 3 and have had no regrets at all. I’ve been wearing it for about two months now. The battery life is amazing. It lasts anywhere from 5-10 days depending on what I’m doing. My Apple Watch was only lasting about 18 hours. I receive texts and phone calls on it. You can reply to texts via Siri if you want to. I also use it for running and like it a lot better than the Apple Watch. I don’t find the Garmin app hard to use at all. It integrates well with Strava. I like the coach and have been using it for my upcoming 10k. It also has great lap features. I like the buttons better as I find it easier to start and stop runs. I also like the summary you receive in the morning and how data heavy it is. I personally also find the circle shape looks dressier than the square Apple Watch shape. I find it works well with most outfits and doesn’t look out of place. If you’re debating the switch and reading this I suggest you make it. I have no regrets.

Soy fan de apple y siempre he usado el Apple Watch así que estaba indeciso sobre cambiarme a Garmin. Estéticamente el Apple Watch será en mi opinión + bonito, elegante, fino y estético en comparación a este venu3 que si bien es + elegante que otros modelos Garmin, se sigue viendo deportivo. Pero en cuanto a funcionalidad, no hay comparación! Es super ligero, la batería me dura 7 días y carga 100% batería en 1 hora o menos. Es un poco difícil configurar porque tiene sistema operativo Android pero estoy fascinado y obsesionado con todo lo que mide y con la precisión. No soy deportista, solo camino, corro y nado pero para mi es importante medir mi corazón y el Garmin me da mucho más datos que el Apple Watch. Puedo medir mi frecuencia cardiaca, la variación cardiaca, el estrés, la frecuencia cardiaca durante mis entrenamientos y me lo colorea por zona gps para saber cuando debo de ir mas rápido o lento y lo que realmente me fascina es la medición del sueño!!!!!!!!! wow. Mide la calidad en general y también la duración de todas las etapas del sueño y te hace recomendaciones sobre qué hacer y cuanto tiempo dormir para mejorar la calificación.
