The UV Flashlight Black Light from GEARLIGHT has proven to be an invaluable tool in my home for a variety of purposes. Here's why I highly recommend this flashlight: Pet Stain Detection: As a pet owner, one of the main reasons I purchased this flashlight was to detect urine stains left by my pets. The 68 LED blacklight illuminates hidden stains with ease, making it simple to identify and treat problem areas on carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces. Bed Bug Detection: In addition to pet stains, this flashlight is also highly effective for detecting bed bugs. The UV light reveals bed bug activity and eggs, allowing for timely intervention and pest control measures. Resin Curing: For DIY enthusiasts and hobbyists, this flashlight is perfect for curing UV resin. Whether I'm working on jewelry-making projects or resin art, the powerful UV light accelerates the curing process, resulting in professional-quality finishes. Security Checks: The GEARLIGHT UV flashlight is also great for security purposes, such as identifying counterfeit currency, checking IDs, and verifying fluorescent hand stamps at events. Compact and Portable: Despite its powerful performance, this flashlight is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around the house or while traveling. Overall, the UV Flashlight Black Light from GEARLIGHT is a versatile and reliable tool that exceeds expectations. Whether you need to detect pet stains, identify bed bugs, cure UV resin, or perform security checks, this flashlight delivers exceptional results. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of an effective UV light solution.

I bought this light to charge glow discs for night rounds of disc golf. It does an excellent job for it's intended use and has been very durable so far . Just as good as the more expensive lights some of my friends have. I've had zero issues with the light.

I purchased on a whim to follow up on some strange odors in our home office that I thought were due to our dogs. GearLight makes some really great headlamps and flashlights and I had faith that this would not disappoint. Long story short - The light helped to determine that the smell wasn't the dogs, it ended up being a small roof leak causing mold and mildew inside the wall. This light is awesome and my wife accuses me of using my new toy too much. It is bright and we used it this Halloween to illuminate some neon colored items and then I found its true calling and used it to scan our kids bedroom, the bathrooms, the kitchen and more! Then I found the areas where the potty missed, previously unseen messes on the carpet and other things. I probably shouldn't have told my wife, "Hey look at this! You missed another spot while cleaning." as it almost led to a fight. The light is awesome for outdoors too. My son and I did some rock collecting and found a few cool specimens that fluoresced under the black light and even found that LED and CFL lamps light up under the light. We saw the brighteners in our laundry detergent and found that chinchillas don't glow under black light.

Over the years, I've had a use for portable UV lights. My mother-in-law tinkered with lapidary as a hobby, and had a small UV light that she used to use with some of her gemstones. At the time, I was into electronics experimenting and computer programming, and found that her portable light could be used on erasable EPROM chips to change the programs contained within. Very handy! But that was a long time ago! UV lights are also good for novelty purposes, showing up eerie designs around Halloween, etc. Fun stuff! And now that the UV light can be created with LEDs in an inexpensive flashlight form factor, anybody can have one to play with! I always grow tomatoes in my raised bed garden. This summer, I noticed that something has been eating at them, both the leaves and the fruits. Fortunately, I noticed before a lot of damage was done, and I searched the internet for potential causes and solutions. What I read led me to this device. It seems that tomato hornworms - large, damaging caterpillars/worms - can do the kind of destruction I was seeing, and they need to be removed ASAP to prevent further damage. These worms are the same color as the plant's foliage, and they tend to hang out on the underside of the leaves -- so they're very hard to see and pick off. (Not to mention the 'yuck' factor.) But it turns out that they have markings on their body that shine brightly when exposed to UV light, making them easy to spot and remove if you go out to the garden after dark. That's why I bought this light! As it turns out, I didn't get to use if for this purpose, because I was able to get a spray insecticide before the light was delivered. But I keep checking. When the light arrived, I checked it out in the house while it was still dark outside. Turning it on and shining it down on a comforter that I occasionally nap under, I was stunned to see a number of small, white threads shed from other clothing, that stood out brightly under the light. I never knew they were there! I scanned the room I was in and caught glimpses of other items that 'glow' when bathed in the UV rays. Fun, potentially useful, and quite sturdy -- I think this is a good value!

I use this black light to find scorpions in Utah’s West Desert. My grandchildren use it to find brightly colored rocks at night. This is a second one of these I have purchased because I lost the first one. Pros: 1. I can see scorpions over 30 feet away. 2. With this many LEDs, it’s very bright. 3. Battery power last a long time. Cons: 1. It uses six batteries. 2. My Wife can use it to find where people missed hitting the toilet in the bathroom.

How did I just find out about this type of light? I have 2 small dogs and sometimes don't notice if the rug is wet. This light is so helpful and pinpoints where you need to clean up if there was a mess. Only works on dry spots.

Great for puppy training if there is a potty issue. Those pee stains stand right out under the light.

Bought this to go night crawler hunting. Price of worms for fishing right now is ridiculous. This seems to not startle them as much as the black light finds them a lot easier.

Works great, somethings surprisingly react to UV light and it's not only bodily fluids
