This set of books are both amazing looking and a well written book.The book is rich with information about the history of westeros. Now it’s on my favourite book list.I really recommend reading these books if you love fantasy.

If you enjoy slow paced and foreshadowed fantasy books, you will enjoy this one. So many of the characters within this book could be talked about for hours, and barely have the surface of them touched. I am currently about 1/3 of the way through a storm of swords, and I can say without a doubt that a game of thrones is my favorite book. Despite what people may say about how “it’s too sexualized” while there are a few pages each book that you could just skip, there is still thousands of others to read and enjoy. These books are not “just porn,” they are Thr Lord of The Rings done even better.

First time leaving an Amazon review, but I wanted to say that the leather bound books are absolute gorgeous. However, they are more a collectors item. They look great on display and ASOIAF fans will surely love this set. If you’re a first time reader I recommend getting the paperback set first, it’ll be a more enjoyable experience to read.

This is the first Amazon product review I’ve ever written. I’m taking the time because I do wish I had understood how SMALL the print would be on the pages of these books! Don’t get me wrong, they look and feel so satisfying in your hand. The covers are vibrant and the pages are well-bound (tied-in, not glued.) I also don’t intend to return them because I’m already so attached to them, only being on the second book. Still, I figure it would be helpful to make it clear the books are smaller than you may expect and the print is noticeably smaller than a traditional paperback. It’s like holding a tiny King James Bible, which yes, does have its own charm. Bottom line, I’m keeping them, but at 38 years old I have purchased my first pair of reading glasses to read these books comfortably. Just be warned :)

The book bind is flexible feels good in the hand. The quality of construction is excellent. The only draw back is that the text is a bit small, about 18 characters per inch.

The book quality and size is great. The series is a great read that will leave you wanting more. Unfortunately, I understand the author has not written the next story in the series and many doubt that he will complete it. I have read other novellas in the world this story is set in and they were great. I recommend if you are fine with ending a series without a final resolution.

I ordered on August 8 and received them August 31. They arrived a week earlier than expected. The set is perfect. Lovely binding and font. I've read comments about the thinness of the paper being as thin as bible paper. I don't find that to be true at all. The are thin, but good quality paper. I think I am going to enjoy the smaller size of book as well. There are no messy bookmark ribbons or gold leafing; two things I've grown to care less about as long as the book is quality.
