I was hoping to stock up on baby cereal, I'd be terrified to run out, especially with a hungry baby! Our son is 7 months old and has been eating this since he was about 4 months. It's recommended for babies who can push up on their arms while on their belly, or can lean on their arms when in a sitting position. They don't have to be crawling or sitting up, they can handle this much sooner. I would recommend getting multiple cereals, like rice, oatmeal, multigrain, etc. Just to acclimate your baby to trying new foods and liking everything. Plus, what if they're allergic to one of them? (Although, studies show that babies who try more foods as soon as they can eat them or eat the baby food version tend to have less allergies and food issues). Obviously our little guy still nurses, but he doesn't need as much during the day since we have baby food, plus he needs the extra calories! I don't know why it has me rating "flavor" and "thickness" because it doesn't really have much flavor at all and the thickness depends on how much formula or water or breastmilk you add. (We just add water and he likes it just fine). I tend to keep it pretty runny, just because it's easier for him to eat and he won't eat it if it's too thick. And for flavor and more nutrients, I mix in baby food (if you mix it in a little at a time, you'll go through less baby food, which saves money! The cereal helps keep their bellies full longer too, so they won't be as hungry as often! Yay!). For some extra fat, we mixed in mashed avocados with this and he loved it! Value for money? DEFINITELY! To get the same amount at my local grocery store (which is actually very well priced and is cheaper than other stores around me), I would spend about $35! So definitely worth the cash! I will definitely be buying again! Highly recommend.

The packaging was annoying but it's a good product overall. It's important to note that they recently changed the design/packaging of the product so when you get the new one, don't be alarmed. It is the same way in store as well.

This rice is handy for adding to a bottle of breast milk or formula. Our child often would be hungry after his bottle and went through formula like crazy. We tried adding a little bit of this to his bottles and it managed to fill him up, add a bit of extra nutrition and saved some money since it reduced the total number of bottles needed.

My baby is 5 months and 2 weeks, and pediatrician gave baby in the clear to start baby oats, and first time he tried it he devoured it!! Better than the baby rice (due to high levels of arsenic)

We use this to add to our babies bottles ( pediatrician recommended it) this came with six large ones and pretty much lasted us for almost 7 months. Cheaper price than in store
