We decided on this carseat because it has everything we wanted in terms of safety features, functionality, and appearance. We didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a luxury brand, but didn't want to skimp on safety, and this carseat offers the same features and quality as those brands at a much better price, imo. My favorite things about this carseat: 1. The main reason we bought this specific seat was because the base has a rebound bar AND a load leg. After watching crash test videos, we were SOLD on these features, they really do make a huge difference in protecting baby's spine! Also, the load leg tucks away under the base nicely if you find that your vehicle can't accommodate it. 2. The fabric is beautiful and sturdy, with softness and padding for baby's comfort. I love how the canopy provides a lot of shade and also has an optional built-in drape for extra shade, bug protection, etc. 3. No need to buy a newborn head support insert, there is more than enough padding at the headrest, and the body support pillow is awesome! I actually bought a head insert thinking I would need it, but I tried inserting it and it would be wayyy too suffocating to use. 4. The handle is adjustable to 4 positions with just one button, no need to hold both sides of the seat to do it like on some models. 5. The adjustable headrest - there's no need to rethread the straps as baby grows, just pull up on the top of the head rest to expose more strap and then adjust accordingly with the harness release strap at the bottom of the seat (the black strap hanging off the seat in the last photo). 6. Not heavy, but also not so light that you're afraid you're compromising on safety. I'm a petite woman and often find many things to be too heavy lol, but I find this carseat comfortable to lift and carry. Not sure how if I'll feel the same way about carrying a 25lb baby in it though. I will update when that time comes. 7. We bought the Graco Premiere Modes Merge stroller, and it pops right onto to the stroller frame and is so easy to remove, no buttons or levers giving you a hard time. Though I can't yet speak to the ease of installation, I read through the instruction booklet and it seems straightforward. I will update this review once we actually install it into the car and after baby is here. Can't wait to use it!

Comfortable, easy to adjust straps, easy to take apart cushions to clean and the visor on top covers the whole car seat or close to it. Load leg and rebound bar for extra protection is awesome and car seat specialist at the hospital said it was the safest to have both! Nice style too

It should be a great carseat... but....??? This car seat base is installed correctly with no issue, exactly how manual says. Checked and rechecked... however, the car seat itself is SUPER wiggly with lots of room on the base. Why does it wiggle and shake so much?! That's not safe? Is mine defected? I don't know. But I'm pretty upset beings the fact baby could come anyday now and I don't have time to send back and wait for replacement.

Click to play video I’ve had this car seat for two years now and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s well made - it’s been used by two kids and still looks in great shape, even after machine washing the parts multiple times. I love the mesh cover that is built into the hood. It’s great to be able to pull down to prevent people from touching all over my new baby but still letting them see her well. There is a zippered portion at the back of the hood that opens to extend the visor to block the sun more. It’s also handy on walks to let some air flow through when attached to a stroller. It feels very safe and durable. I also like the anti rebound bar on the base. Thankfully I haven’t had to test this out but in the event of a crash it prevents the carseat from rebounding into the seat back. I also love the snugfit technology on the base. You lock the included anchor strap into the anchors, pull to get as tight as possible, then close the snugfit piece to make it ever tighter. I’ve installed many car seats before for my job and I can never get others as tight and secure in the car as this. I plan to use this infant car seat for any kids we have until it expires.

Watch out, they are very misleading. I selected the top of the line Snugride Snugfit 35 XT and saw a different color for less money. That changed not only the color but dropped it down to the DLX version. I was OK with that and placed the order. Now that I have it I see that by changing color they also dropped from Snugride Snugfit to the older Snugride model which does NOT have the anti-rebound bar. They put a new load leg base on an older model. These are two very different car seats and should be listed separately. I don't recall ever opting for a different color and finding out it is a different product.
