I have distinct memories of giving my dogs pills as a kid. Or shall I say I have distinct memories of the battles we had trying to give our dogs pills. One of our dogs was a master at the cheeking, no matter how much butter we put on it. Bless the makers of these pill pockets though. Gone are the days of rubbing the throat or having to check cheek pockets. Now I just pop the pill in one of these and my dog comes running. Some mornings she will only eat her pill pocket and wait to eat her breakfast later. I like that they are soft and quite malleable. Our dog had to be on a few pills post surgery and I found that I could sneak a few pills into each pill pocket. Even if you don't need to give your dog pills every day, these are still good to have one hand for those just in case moments.

The difference between Greenie Pill Pockets and others is that these are very malleable. For most pills I can break them in half and put a pill in each half. My dog developed seizures and is currently taking 22 pills daily plus some powdery stuff. Yup, 22 pills, 11 twice a day. I've put them in her food, in other pill pockets and wrapped in sliced cheese. Some days she just gets tired of eating pills in pill pockets and won't eat anything. Lately I have been using whipped cream in a little bowl to dip the end of the pill pockets in before giving them to her. She seems to really like that. I just hope eating all these pill pockets, that they are as nutritious as Greenie claims. Another method I used on a previous dog was to grind her pills into a powder, mix that into some baby food then use a syringe to inject the concoction into the back of the lips. That worked really well. However, I can't do that will the seizure medications as some say not to grind them up. So, we'll see how long the pill pockets with a little whipped cream strategy lasts.

Administering medication to our beloved canine companions can often be a challenging endeavor. Greenies Pill Pockets for Dogs, particularly the 30-count Chicken Pockets for Capsules, present a creative solution to this common issue. Pros: • Palatability: Many dogs find the chicken-flavored pockets irresistible, making medication time feel like treat time. This can significantly reduce the stress associated with pill administration. • Convenience: The design of these pockets allows pet owners to easily conceal capsules, simplifying the process of giving oral medications. • Quality Ingredients: Formulated with natural components, these treats aim to provide a wholesome option for pet parents concerned about their dog’s diet. Cons: • Texture Variability: Some users have reported inconsistencies in the texture of the pill pockets, noting that they can sometimes be too dry or crumbly, which may make molding them around pills more difficult. • Size Limitations: While suitable for standard capsules, larger medications might not fit as comfortably within the pocket, potentially requiring the use of multiple treats or alternative methods. • Cost Consideration: For households with dogs on long-term medication, the expense of regularly purchasing these treats can accumulate, making it a pricier option compared to other pill-hiding techniques. In summary, Greenies Pill Pockets offer a thoughtful approach to medicating dogs, transforming a typically stressful task into a more pleasant experience for both pets and their owners. However, potential buyers should be aware of possible texture issues and consider the ongoing cost if their dog requires daily medication.

My dog loves getting his pill pockets. He gobbles it right down. They are so soft and easy to mold around any shape of pill. They are quite large. I only need half to cover his pill, so it’s actually like getting double the amount in the package.

If you have dogs that need daily medications, these soft pill pockets are a must have! So much easier than trying to hide a pill in a piece of cheese or bread! My 50 lb pointer mix could find a tiny pill hidden in just about anything and spit it out but she LOVES these pill pockets and gobbles it down quickly. I only use 1/2 pocket because the pills are so small - that helps with cost as they are kind of pricey.. She thinks they are a treat and “reminds” me that she hasn’t had her pill if I forget. They are very soft, kind of oily, and the chicken flavor doesn’t have a bad odor. It is so easy to squish a pill into the pocket! The package is resealable so product stays fresh. Overall, a game changer when it comes to giving medication.

The only way I can get my dog to take its pill. Consistency of the pill pockets being open vs closed is not great. Many of them were smashed shut so I just press the pill into the "dough" like material & he gobbles it up.

My Tally needs 3 pills a day. She is very good at spotting them out even if I put them in cheese or other tricks! But she takes these no problem! I’ve tried other pill pockets and think these are the best!

二度目の購入ですが梱包もしっかりとしていますし思ったより早く届きました。国内生産をしていないようで動物病院では手に入りませんのでAmazonで購入出来て助かりました。商品内容は国内のと変わらないと思いますので今後も購入しようと思います。

Nice and soft but bit big for a chihuahua was easy enough to make smaller and she loved the flavor.

Really helpful for giving my dog medication. They smell like bacon, so she was a big fan! I found them really helpful to medicate her, however unsure if they would be suitable for dogs with GI issues. Also a little on the expensive side if you were looking at using them long term.
