I've been using Greenies Pill Pockets in the Large Size for Capsules, and they’ve completely transformed the way I give my dog his medication. **Effectiveness:** These pill pockets are a game-changer. Their soft and flexible texture allows me to effortlessly insert a capsule and mold it around the pill, completely hiding it. My dog, who once dreaded taking his medication, now eagerly gobbles it down without a second thought. **Taste & Texture:** The chicken flavor is a definite winner for my dog. The treats are pliable enough to mold comfortably around the pill, yet firm enough to keep their shape, ensuring the hidden medication remains a mystery until it’s consumed. **Ingredients:** Each treat is made with a well-thought-out selection of ingredients: - Chicken - Glycerin - Wheat Flour - Wheat Gluten - Vegetable Oil - Dried Corn Syrup - Natural Flavor - Natural Cheese Flavor - Water - Citric Acid (preservative) - Mixed Tocopherols (preservative) - Vinegar - Rosemary Extract Keep in mind that these treats do contain wheat and corn syrup, which could be a concern for dogs with dietary restrictions or allergies. **Packaging & Value:** With a 15.8 oz package containing 60 pill pockets, you get excellent value for regular medication routines. The resealable bag is a nice touch, keeping the treats fresh for future use. **Conclusion:** Greenies Pill Pockets have made the once-difficult task of administering medication to my dog surprisingly easy and stress-free. While they might not be ideal for every dog due to specific dietary needs, for many, they are an essential tool for ensuring consistent medication adherence. They look cute. They don’t smell bad and they aren’t too thick.

I have distinct memories of giving my dogs pills as a kid. Or shall I say I have distinct memories of the battles we had trying to give our dogs pills. One of our dogs was a master at the cheeking, no matter how much butter we put on it. Bless the makers of these pill pockets though. Gone are the days of rubbing the throat or having to check cheek pockets. Now I just pop the pill in one of these and my dog comes running. Some mornings she will only eat her pill pocket and wait to eat her breakfast later. I like that they are soft and quite malleable. Our dog had to be on a few pills post surgery and I found that I could sneak a few pills into each pill pocket. Even if you don't need to give your dog pills every day, these are still good to have one hand for those just in case moments.

The difference between Greenie Pill Pockets and others is that these are very malleable. For most pills I can break them in half and put a pill in each half. My dog developed seizures and is currently taking 22 pills daily plus some powdery stuff. Yup, 22 pills, 11 twice a day. I've put them in her food, in other pill pockets and wrapped in sliced cheese. Some days she just gets tired of eating pills in pill pockets and won't eat anything. Lately I have been using whipped cream in a little bowl to dip the end of the pill pockets in before giving them to her. She seems to really like that. I just hope eating all these pill pockets, that they are as nutritious as Greenie claims. Another method I used on a previous dog was to grind her pills into a powder, mix that into some baby food then use a syringe to inject the concoction into the back of the lips. That worked really well. However, I can't do that will the seizure medications as some say not to grind them up. So, we'll see how long the pill pockets with a little whipped cream strategy lasts.

This is the ONLY way my dog (pit bull) will take a pill! Finicky eater and always thinks I am tricking her to eat poison :). I have used cheese, deli meat, peanut butter, stuffed in food dish hidden inside people food, meat balls … This one has worked every time. I will always have these on hand when my doubtful picky licks eater has to take pills. Always fake them out and if you have another dog, get that dog excited for a treat, then toss to get excitement up or make them work for it (sit, down, stay etc). Make it a part of the routine, don’t let them hear the pill bottle, make crinkle treat bag noises. Use all of their senses! Lmao fingers crossed for all you out there trying to get these pups to take their meds lol Photos bc they are cuties. How do you photograph a dog taking a treat that will show you how great these are? They ONLY get these “treats” when it is pill time.

Game changer for giving pills to dogs. I have been using these for probably about 3 years with no complaints. I can remember trying to hide pills in cheese or peanut butter as a child and the dog still would not take the pill. That is not an issue at all with pill pockets. My 10 year old lab gets 4 pills in the morning and 4 pills at night. They all fit in one pill pocket and he doesn’t know the difference between pills or a treat. It goes right down! Very user and dog friendly!

These really do work and it makes giving pills much easier. I gave it 4 stars because they actually become MORE expensive if you buy more. This 30 day supply is $.30 apiece. But if you buy the six pack - they cost $.33. Go figure.

These pill pockets are great. My little dog is so picky, even with his treats. And when it came to taking a pill, well there was no easy way to do it until I found these pill pockets. They are fantastic. I can break off a little piece and give it to him, then wrap the pill in another piece, and he wolfs it down. Definitely recommend.

About twice the size of the chicken flavour, and really malleable so easy to squish around tablets. Dog loves them! Very expensive, but they work and make life a lot easier for daily medication.
