Very Lightweight, easy to use , perfect for my arthrititc hands as I can't use sizzor type anymore. This strummed my thinner type plants, Mums, ,grasses, tulips stalks after blooming. Light bushes. Will not trim thick branches. Perfect for my needs. Battery lasted until I was done. Two different blades. Love it

Very powerful, light-weight, long battery life, sharp blades, quick charging. However, it does not feel balanced in hand while using and therefore depressing the trigger to operate is awkward. Good for small jobs, but ergonomics need tweaking for using more than a few minutes. May try wrapping a rubber band to hold the switch down next time I use it. Update: Purchased a different brand to use this season, but my Greenworks model is still going strong. The blades are still sharp, it still recharges very quickly, and the charge still lasts long enough to do the whole yard at one time. Update: I'm a little upset that this trimmer is still in perfect working order. Two summers and the blades are still sharp and I can still do the whole front and backyard on one charge. I use it every week! For two summers! The switch is still anoying as ever. I want to use my new one but this one won't die or go dull. What's up with that? Update: third summer of weekly use. I use it for about 30 minutes and the battery has never died. It fully charges in less than an hour. The grass cutting blades are getting a little chewy and unfortunately you can't buy replacements. So I'll keep this one for the mini hedger and use my new one for grass.

Trimmer works exactly as advertised. The reviews about the safety switch are spot-on, it is damn difficult to keep it pressed while holding the trigger. HOWEVER, there IS a slight catch few seem to have noticed - if you press the safety switch AND pull the trigger, you can release the safety switch and keep trimming, even though you let go the safety switch. It's only there to prevent accidental start - you do NOT have to keep it depressed to use the tool. It's fine for trimming new growth on shrubbery that's been trimmed back with an actual hedge trimmer but I wouldn't try cutting thick, old, established growth to reshape a bush. The grass blades work great for small distances and also for dead-heading flowers. I'd buy it again!

I have mainly used the hedge trimmer attachment to shape up lorepetalums. It only cuts fairly well. My main complaint is that ergonomically I find the trimmer awkward to use. A safety lock button has to be depressed with your thumb at same time you are pulling the trigger, in order to activate the blades. If the safety button is released, the trigger is deactivated. In my opinion, this feature limits the usefulness of the tool and any advantages it might have over manual trimming. Safety overkill.

I plant clover as a "green manure" cover crop on my inside vegetable pots. The clover grows quite unruly over time, and it needs sheared to provide mulching layer and break down into nutrients. Scissors don't work well as the clover stems are full of water and they jam the scissors. Small pieces break down better and provide a better mulch and scissors just can't deal with the wet stems and leaves. This trimmer quickly trims both clover leaf and stem without clogging. I wipe the blades after use and use vegetable oil on the blades before every use. I'm still on the factory battery charge after 15 minutes of intermittent use. Trimmer was well packaged, and battery charged when it arrived. The blades are really really sharp and would cut flesh like butter- they are actually scarry sharp, so be darn careful where your fingers are.

I Do The Speed LimitReviewed in the United States on September 1, 2019

But I'm not sure I can trust the battery..... This little powered hand trimmer saved me hours of work trimming my oregano plants last week. If I'd had to do it with a manual clipper, my hands would still be aching. So, I'm very glad that I had the brainstorm to stop my manual trimming after 20 minutes of miserable, fatiguing work, head indoors to the computer, and look up powered hand trimmers here on Amazon. I really did not know that this type of power tool existed. So glad I found this product. I know I won't use it often, but it has already paid for itself. Many hours of hand work turned into about 30 minutes with this tool. It is a very limited use power tool! Do not expect it to cut through anything thicker than a 1/4". Do not expect it to cut through anything stringy. Do not expect it to cut through anything real soft and pliable, (like stems that have frozen and thawed.) But for the thin, woody overgrown stems of oregano, marjoram, tarragon, dill, mint, etc. And for flowers like petunia, marigold, dusty miller, this little tool works just fine. No to plants like roses and lantana, because you'll run into too many stems with thicker than 1/4" stems. No, also to larger begonia plants, impatients, cut celery, big coleus stems because of the water content. I'm not real sure about the battery inside. The first time I charged it, right out of the box, it took several hours, (maybe 4?), for the red light to turn to a solid green. The charge did not last for an hour. I only used it a half hour or less, then set it aside for two day,s then used it for about 10-15 minutes before it cut out and died. It never did give me notice of a flashing light as the directions indicated. Then it only too about 45 minutes for the battery to re-charge and turn a solid green. The instructions don't seem to tell the correct story, as I have still not seen any blinking lights--just a solid red or solid green. I guess only time will tell....But then, I won't be able to return it, will I..... I chose this model and maker because of the shape and design that I could see in the pictures. It is lightweight. It is comfortable to hold and manipulate. It is balanced nicely, so that it does not fatigue the hand. That might almost be a detriment, though..... The work was going so smoothly and easily and quickly that I started to disregard the moving parts and I started to treat it like a manual clipper. My other hand's fingers came close to the moving blades several times. I had to remind myself to slow down and be very careful. You might want to pick up a pair of cut-resistant gloves.

Great handheld grass clippers for hard to reach areas (tight spaces, corners, etc.) with long battery life. Got it for $15 on a daily deal…highly recommended.

we have a small yard (23*30) so we don't need a bulky heavy duty trimmer. this hand held lightweight electric shear is all we needed to trim the edges and it's so easy to use. would recommend for sure!

A decent tool that is far cheaper than the standard whipping units. If you don't mind bending over to cut the grass then this clipper is a good choice. I have minimal grass to trim around a raised flower garden. I'm currently unsure of the battery life and changing the blades isn't a smooth process.

Works great - cuts smaller branches and battery last 35-40 minutes - key us that it is much lighter than full size units
