When my battery died, Greenworks customer service walked me through some troubleshooting with the battery/charger and tool then issued a warranty replacement battery. Although it took a few tries to make contact the total phone time was 15 min to register my tool and battery, troubleshoot, and then receive an order number for my replacement battery. I found the process to be concise and reasonable. I was able to do all of this through their browser chat option. I purchased my 80V Greenworks Leaf blower with 4Ah Lithium battery and charger from a membership store in January of 2023. I really like the functionality of the blower and since it is not gas powered I began keeping it in the house in the closet with the vacuum cleaner. I now blow off my deck and front porch regularly where before I would have only done it occasionally. Last week the blower suddenly stopped working. I realized it was the battery. Fortunately I was able to grab a charged one from my string trimmer. I was dreading the idea that this tool line I was steadily collecting was going to be a disappointment but after this experience I feel confident the brand has the customer service to make their product worth the premium price. I have now purchased this 4 Ah 80V lithium battery as a backup and intend to purchase their lawnmower in the near future. I live in the city and have front, side, and back yards that are big enough to require a real mower but are not simple rectangles. Being able to use all battery powered lawn tools is a complete game changer. This is a product line worth the investment.

I purchased a 4a 80v battery to supplement the power capacity for a recently acquired 80v self-propelled 21in Green Works lawnmower. The battery has worked as expected and provides the expected performance for the lawnmower. I have a 1/2 acre lot and the lawnmower came with a 4a and a 2a battery, combined providing enough power to cut just over 1/2 the lawn. I bought this battery to be able to finish without having to wait for the batteries to recharge (although recharge time is only ~1 hour for the 4a battery and ~ 30 min for the 2a battery). I would recommend this as a supplement to any Green Works lawnmower. Price was good and the battery has worked as expected for about 5 cuttings so far.

I use this as a backup battery for the Greenworks Leaf Blower 80V/ 170MPH/ 730CFM which I can’t review here bc I didn’t buy it on Amazon. But the blower and battery are awesome. I got the blower as a Costco special that came with the battery and charger and then bought this to have charging while I use the other one. I have no less than 20 mature white oak trees on half an acre and this pair has cut my yard work in half in terms of time and labor. The blower will move anything you need, wet or dry; leaves, sticks, cats, raccoons, small children. I think this battery actually lasts longer than the one the leaf blower came with from Costco even though the specs said it has a shorter run time. As for the people complaining that the blower was too heavy with the battery, idk what they’re on about unless they’re 5’ tall or elderly. I’m a 5’9 woman not in the best shape and I can carry that thing around for hours. My moms purse weighed more and I used to have to pack that around for her in the mall. Anyway, very happy with the battery. 5 stars.

Heavy battery. Long lasting but it is too long to use in the 20" snowblower. The weight throws off the balance in the trimmer and the leaf blower

Larger and somewhat heavier that the lower Ah sizes, this is capable of doing a complete front yard and back yard of average size. Seems to charge in a little more than a half hour, and does not get hot. Very solid in design and quality.

I received this product on Dec 7, 2020. I was very excited as I had purchased a Pro 80V Green Works cordless lawn mower, Pro 80V 18 in cordless chainsaw, Pro 80V 16 inch cordless string trimmer, and Pro 80V cordless blower and two batteries a normal Pro 80V 2.0 A and the larger Pro 80V 4.0 A. I had thus sunk a lot of money in the green revolution and was excited about the equipment. As it was winter already, I have only used the blower. It worked great even if the batteries didn't last too long. I used the 4.0 A mostly because I got a good 30 minutes of max blowing with it. With the snow coming a week before Christmas, I put the battery and its charger in the heated basement (it had been upstairs and always indoors before) charged the batteries and then left them next to the charger. With spring coming in, I went to get the batteries to do some yard work and went to verify the charge on the 80V 4 A. There was no charge so I plugged it in. A red light started flashing. I retried a few times but got the same flashing light. I put in the other battery and it immediately got a solid green light. The battery remained fully charged. I consulted the operating manual and plugged in the 80V 4A, got a red flashing light, so removed it and waited a minute and retried. I still got a red flashing light. I then removed the battery and then the plug to the charger for one minute as indicated in the manual and then plugged it back in and inserted the battery. I received the same red flashing light. The manual notes that if this happens, the battery is defective. I was pretty upset with this since the battery was over $150 and it had been used no more than 10 times. I called Green Works warranty department and Nicole immediately picked up the phone, which is great given that customer service has gone out the window with Covid. Nicole said the battery could be replaced if I sent it in, but I wouldn't receive a replacement UNTIL AFTER THE END OF MAY SINCE Green Works HAS NO 80V 4 A BATTERIES. I was in disbelief. How is it that a company that sells only battery operated equipment has no batteries? I asked Nicole if there were any other options, and she said I could try with Amazon but otherwise they could do nothing. How am I supposed to mow my lawn for two months without a battery? (I could use the small battery but that would give me about 15 minutes or less of mowing time, not too practical). Nicole seemed not too concerned that I had spent $1000+ dollars on Green Works equipment that I have actually never even used yet other than the blower and that I wouldn't be able to use until sometime in June this summer because I wouldn't have a battery. I can't communicate to you the frustration I felt at that point. You would think a smaller company trying to make a reputation in the increasingly competitive battery operated outdoor/lawn equipment space would want to keep a new customer happy. But no, that didn't seem to be a priority. Fortunately, Amazon has a much better understanding of customer service than Green Works. They immediately answered my call, apologized that the equipment I had received was defective, and have shipped me a new battery that I will receive in a couple of days. Moreover, they will pay for the old battery to be returned unlike Green Works which was requiring that the customer shoulder this expense. I perhaps foolishly made the plunge into the Green Works ecosystem. I had hoped that they would be a company that stood by their products and would figure out a way to help a new customer like me actually use my equipment. I thought they would be a bit more apologetic too that their battery had only lasted 10 uses. That is after all rather pathetic. I really wanted to love this company, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend using this company until they get their house in order. It is one thing to sell defective products, but it is quite another to provide your customer no viable solution other than let someone else deal with the problem when they've sold you a defective product.

Got a great deal on the battery, lasts about twice as long as my 2A.

Obviously I haven't used the mower and battery yet. It's winter in Canada. I did however charge the battery and ran up and down the driveway several times cutting snow. Worked perfectly.

We have a smaller driveway, but this battery does whole driveway. 50 feet of sidewalk outside our house. Small back patio and never ran out of power at minus 20C. Very impressed!

I think the battery is fine. I guess I should have read the description better as this battery is 2 inches longer than the 2 AH standard battery which means is sticks out on my 80 volt green works chainsaw. Now it does attach but is heavier and adds to make chainsaw awkward to handle. Otherwise I'm sure the battery will be helpful to last longer for use in the woods cutting trees and branches.
