Oh man are we huge fan of the Grumpy Monkey books. My kids absolutely love these books! And you know what, so do my husband and I. I thoroughly enjoy reading these to my children. They get a kick out of them, and so do I! This one is great, I do love the messages that they always have at the end of the book. It's not pushy or anything, just a very simple message. Huge Jim Panzee fans over here!

"Grumpy Monkey Valentine Gross-Out," -we are treated to a comical yet touching exploration of Valentine's Day through the eyes of everyone's favorite grump, Jim Panzee. 🐵💔💕
As Valentine's Day festivities commence, Jim finds himself surrounded by couples engaged in all manner of lovey-dovey behavior, much to his chagrin. From romantic gestures to public displays of affection, Jim can't help but find it all utterly gross. Seeking solace, he turns to his friend Norman, hoping for validation in his disdain for the holiday's mushy sentimentality. Yet, to Jim's surprise, Norman sees Valentine's Day as an occasion for celebrating all forms of love – between partners, parents, children, and friends.
Lang masterfully weaves humor and heart into the narrative as Jim grapples with his conflicted feelings about the holiday. Through Jim's journey, readers are reminded of the diverse ways love manifests and the importance of cherishing those we care about, regardless of romantic entanglements.
"Grumpy Monkey Valentine Gross-Out" is more than just a story about Valentine's Day; it's a heartwarming reminder that love comes in many forms and that celebrating those connections can bring joy even to the grumpiest of hearts. With its relatable themes and endearing characters, this book is sure to charm all ages. 💖🐵📚

I purchased the book for my 4 year old granddaughter for Valentine's Day. She thought it was wonderful and laughed all the way through it. My son was unhappy with it because he said it was too negative and he didn't like her being exposed to such negativity. I thought it was great we loved reading it together and both laughed all the way through. It ended on a happy, positive note so I wasn't worried about the negativity. I didn't purchase more of the series because of my son's hesitation but I would highly recommend these books! They are well written and will illustrated and children love them.
