I wanted to get rid of Comcast and their rinky dink converter. Thanks to this widget I can use a Fire Stick and still use my older tv in our kitchen.

I finally got this to work, thanks to help here on Amazon. Now I can use a Roku device on my 28 year old TV set!!

I was able to get it transmitting over UHF and onto a TV with only RF input. Composite and HDMI work well. Looks like Composite is a straight analog circuit and the HDMI conversion is quite snappy. The manual and options for this thing are confusing though, and I only got it working via trial and error. If you only want to modulate Composite to RF, just get an old VCR. For HDMI, though? This thing is versatile.

Does not convert to UHF. If you want to use this for regular United States Antenna broadcast NTSC TV it does not convert to UHF channels. It will do VHF low band, channels 2-6 and it will do VHF high band channels 7-13 (though you have to select 16-22 to see the signal on 7-13). This is designed to convert to CABLE TV channels, not antenna TV. If you are intending to mix your HDMI or RCA video into a cable TV system it should be able to output to any unused channel you select. Too bad that I wanted it to output to a UHF channel for regular antenna TV. It won't do it.

We hooked an old 1960’s black and white antenna TV to this device and are now able to stream Roku services onto the old black and white TV. Perfect as a functioning nostalgia item for our bar.

I’m usually pretty good at electronics and hooking up networks. There are no instructions and I have not been able to figure this out. Wasted my money. Live and learn. Edit: After a lot of trial and error I finally got it figured out. Video and audio quality is good but documentation is poor by my standards.
