This drum has a nice sound and a nice carrying case and mallet. I let my daughter play with it too and she loves it! The song book is a nice addition, but I like to create my own sounds with it. It is a nice quality as well. Sturdy and well made... A very good buy for the cost.

This tongue drum is solid in construction. You won't get the same sound that you would out of a handmade handpan, but the notes are consistent and the construction is sturdy. The finger picks that come with the instrument are very small and won't fit larger hands, so if you plan to play using the finger picks, you may want to order a separate set. For the price point, this drum is an excellent value!

We purchased for our Special Needs Son to have another outlet after his sister passed away. He really enjoys the beautiful sounds. It's nice quality comes with carry bag music book extras. Nice paint job happy color!

As a care giver I feel music should be a part of every child’s life. However we all know that toy instruments can be loud and more annoying than anything. This no matter how old they are brings a beautiful tone through my home. From the youngest to the older ones that love to use the book for songs, the sound of this drum is like a beautiful breeze through chimes. They are all mesmerized by the clear tone and beautiful notes that this drum provides. If you are looking for an instrument with an amazing effect on your children or even for yourself, I highly recommend this. It’s lightweight compared to a drum and the quality and clear tone is truly outstanding.

Sounds really nice but I think the mallets are a little heavy to get a good sound out of the highest 3 notes, they just don't rebound fast enough not to mute the note as you play it. Maybe with practice I can get it to sound right without using different mallets. It's quite loud compared to the small drums, seems good quality. Overall, I like it

Very happy. Yes, 2 of the tongues aren't perfect pitch, but if you pay attention and tap it just right, it's o.k. A small earth magnet on the underside of the 2 tongues might remedy this. As it is, it's o.k. Took it to a professional musician friend and in minutes he was rockin' out - he w/ one mallet, his daughter the other. He's actually going to order one himself after trying it. Myself, not so musically inclined, took about an hour to get some really nice sounds out of it. Beautiful sounds. Within a few hours I was playing songs in the book and making lovely notes. Very well worth the cost. Really nice carry bag included !! I would recommend getting the 15 note drum, more notes, more detailed music.

Love love love my little tongue drum. What exquisite tones come out of it! This is a REAL playable musical instrument. NOT a toy. I'm a disabled senior and have lots of time on my hands. Having a blast making up little tunes that are SO soothing. My senior kitty seems to be even more mellow listening to the music. Hold the mallets with a light touch and hear the most incredible sounds imaginable. WHAT a FIND! Thanks Amazon!

It sounds so Mystical and beautiful. It comes with attachments you can put on your fingers to play it. It also comes with mallets. One of the rubber ends fell off the mallet after having it for like a month. That’s why one star was taken off. One of the rubber things on the bottom that hold up the drum also popped off. But other than that I really like this drum.

this is a great purchase. Everyone in the family enjoy it. Nice soothing sound.
