I wish I would have done more research before I bought a computer but alas, like all I do in life, I went at it fast, furious and hoping for the best. However, that was not what I got. Because I am in no way happy about this laptop. While I love the manufacturer, HP, I did not like the software that came with this laptop- Microsoft. Because compared to Chrome, it goes slower and sometimes takes forever to open up, freezes. I had a HP Chrome notebook before this purchase and when the Chrome notebook passed the two year mark it started to overheat underneath and stall. So, my baby would need a break and that was the time that I purchased this HP. During the first week with the new HP I found myself going back to my old baby, because the new one would freeze, stall- it wasn’t easy to operate. I don't know whether it is the inside of this particular version of notebook/ laptop or the operating system but the only difference between the two is that one opens to Chrome and the other, Microsoft. Even using Microsoft Word now, over the Google Docs was frustrating because Word has too much going on in their toolbar now for me to figure out. Twenty years ago, Word was simpler, easier and to figure out many things, you didn't go to the toolbar but the drop downs (which I loved). Now, when I look at the tool bar I can’t even figure out where cut and paste is. The only thing I like about Microsoft over Word is that Word gives me suggestions to correct mistakes in reviews, whereas Chrome never does. But, it all ends there and that is really nothing I absolutely need. Really, I don't recommend this laptop at all. I don't know if I got a lemon- just one that didn't work right from the beginning or if they are all like this. But I am not happy with the purchase- Microsoft Word doesn't even input all my google mail, after I requested it. I missed so many emails- for like a week until I just started logging into my google email online. And that I can't go on to Google Play at all- I don't think. I have no idea what Microsoft offers app wise, but I don't want to find out. However, I liked that this laptop might work with my beat pad but then I tried to download the software, which was for Microsoft and nothing went right. All I can say is that if you're getting a great deal on one and just need something to type on, for school, something simple, you can get this one. But if there is any other option that seems good, take it. Because the one thing that I needed to work, the beat pad software, has been too complicated to figure out, if I even can. I would recommend others to look a little harder, do research, know what you want and make sure what laptop or notebook your purchase has. Do not be fast and furious with a bigger purchase like this- because you’ll only be furious with your own attitude over the whole thing. But at least I learned a lesson and know, in the future, what to do and look for. Update 11/19- This is the second (or third) month in which I have had this laptop- and I have not been using it much because I found a used laptop, I liked better- and works better. So even though I barely have used this one, when I opened it today- I got an alet that it doesnt this battery made need replaced because it does not have enough storage capacity (within the battery). And as I type this review, it took me forever to get on the Internet and sometimes the words come out slow, sometimes faster- this computer, right in the beginning, is a nightmare to use and now- to have to replace a battery?? I have never gotten any kind of alert- even after years of hard use of a Chrome labtop. This feels like a complete waste of money and I am lowering my rating from two stars to one. I don't want anyone to get "duped" into spending two hundred dollars for something that performs terribly... And I doubt a new battery is inexpensive- how can at three months of barely using this- can I open it up and get a computer message that the battery has low storage space? It would have been nice if I was told this labtop had little storage- before I bought it. And, like I previously stated- I had barely used this after the first month when I aquired a used labtop that was better (because this one was frustrating). So much for bying new- I thought I would get a better product and I feel as if what I spent was now a complete waste!!

It seems to take forever to load, using multiple areas and networks. I use this for karaoke.... Not the only HP I own, the other moves slow too, thinking it's just an HP thing. Other than that, easy to navigate etc.... will purchase again

It's a nice HP laptop but the battery runs down within a few hours, not 11 hours as stated on the advertisement
