Works well, thought I would return but, it works well. Don't use often but. I got a message that the ink was lowbut, not needed now. I think I will have an ink problem Can't tell because I have not owned but about 6 months an I think it will be an ink problem. Other wise it works well not as fast as the 9620 that I owned for years. I still use the pro9620 for heavy printing because it is faster and the problem with it also is the ink is too expensive.

While this printer is very nice, it seems that it favors Windows computers and was a real hassle to set up on my mac. I have parallels installed on my computer for windows applications, but only a few of them print on this machine. I love it and most things print, but I may need professional help to get it to print on the Windows stuff since it is set up for Mac.

We bought an HP 8600 printer and it was outstanding, and performed perfectly for 20 years, but of course, they are no longer making that model. So we bought this one and it is terrible! EVERY time I want to print, it says it is not connected to the internet (when everything else in my house is.) EVERY time I want to print, I have to turn the printer off and I have to be right next to it with my device to print. It won’t print from downstairs like my other printer did. Several times when I printed multiple pages, it stopped in the middle of one page and I had to restart the printer again to get it start again and I had to start all over. Also, EVERY time I print a couple of different jobs, it does not do it well. So you need to do each job separately and check all pages because it doesn’t always finish the job. When I try to copy something, I have to turn it off and on again. I can get it to work and when it prints, it is fine, but it takes a lot of finesse. It is not at all reliable. I am retired and don’t use it much, but it would be unacceptable if I needed to use it for my job.

I have had this printer a couple of months, but I am a heavy user so I have put it through its paces. I see people complaining about connectivity issues when trying to print. Here is my tip: Do NOT use the HP Smart Print option. Use the printer dropdown menu and just choose the printer. This solves the issue. We have 4 different printers in this office and they ALL have issues printing and scanning using the HP Smart option. This printer does fine on scanning with the HP Smart option, but cannot keep the connection reliably to print. It does have an automatic drive feed for scanning several pages, but doesn't do well with more than maybe 10 sheets. Also, BE WARNED, this printer constantly defaults to two sided printing so you need to uncheck that box in the print menu. It is annoying because I NEVER want two sided printing. Despite these minor inconveniences, it is a very good printer. It was easy to set up, it is not too loud and provides quality printing.

Had an office jet 5740 all in one and wow this is an upgrade. It prints fast and has a great scanner. Haven’t had any issues with color and even though there isn’t a photo tray the paper tray can really hold just about anything. If you do have a paper jam, it’s SO MUCH EASIER no more turning it upside down it legit has a little compartment to get to the jam! Do keep in mind it is a chunky printer but with what it has inside I think it’s worth the space! Good job HP

You can always count on HP products to come through My experience is all the accessories should be HP or by the same brand I feel for best quality

This has been the most trying printer experience so far. I took a while searching thru reviews and landing on this one and have been nothing but disappointed. The first ink cartridges ran out after printing only 15 photos. After waiting 10 days for an ink shipment from instanink we immediately revolved to an issue where it wasn't grabbing pages from the tray to print on it's own and I had to, between each page, nudge the stack if paper into the feeder to keep the printing going without it telling me paper had run out. I gave up after it jammed and gave myself a couple weeks to calm down and used the printer at the library in the interim. I have the jam fixed now. Now it's taking 10 minutes of whirring (connection issue?) in order to start printing pages, but the pages are coming out printed only on a few centimeters of paper, then blank, then a few centimeters of print, then blank, for the entirety of the document. I went thru all the cleaning maintenance options before finally caving and calling maintenance. They're offering me an upgrade for a much better and dependable printer for a $15 a month subscription. By their own admition this is an unreliable printer If I don't want to pay $15 a month my only other option is waiting 10 days to see if new ink cartridges will work (which doesn't solve any of the other issues) and then getting a replacement of the same crappy printer Unhappy is an understatement this is a nightmare. Zero stars
