This is, by far, my favorite of all the Half Baked Harvest cookbooks! The recipes are quick and easy (and absolutely delicious). Perfect for weeknights (when you're short on time but want a gourmet meal) or weekends when you have more time and can make two or three recipes together. The first recipe we tried was the Loaded Potato Soup. YUM!!! This will be my go to potato soup from now on. I love the kick from adding jalapeno and the Southwest flavor from adding cumin and chili powder! The next recipe we tried was the Effortless Pasta Bake. We used Orzo pasta, and I omitted the Kalamata olives (because I don't really care for them). It was SO good!!! We made the Cheesy Roasted Shallot Bread to go with it, and that was delicious as well. This book is a feast for your tummy and your eyes. The pictures will make your mouth water, and the finished dish looks exactly like the picture! I'm SUPER happy with this cookbook, and every recipe we've tried so far has been a keeper! All of Tieghan's recipes are packed full of flavor. They never disappoint!

If you are looking for a healthy cookbook this isn’t it but if you are looking for those comfort foods then I think you might just enjoy this cookbook. The recipes sound and look delicious and I’m looking forward to trying out these recipes over the next few months. I do agree with some of the other reviews that this style of photography is not my favorite and I’m seeing it more and more lately. Some of the photos are great while others could be brighter and less contrast. The font could have been more readable as well. Overall I’m happy with Tieghan’s newest cookbook.

I was a big fan of Half Baked Harvest and I pre-ordered this book before I learned about all the controversy surrounding her. Instead of returning/cancelling my order, I thought I would give her one last chance since I've enjoyed her previous cookbooks. One thing you all need to understand is that Tieghan knows fundamentally nothing about cooking techniques or recipe development, and that is made all the more evident in this collection of regurgitated, uninspired recipes. A closer glimpse at the lazy, halfhearted recipes on her blog make it clear that she does not thoroughly test recipes, account for differences in altitude since she's cooking in the mountains of Colorado, or even actually eat what she cooks (nor does she serve it to her family contrary to what she may want you to believe). She has mentioned numerous times that she builds a recipe around what it LOOKS like in her mind versus what it should taste like. She has built a following off of pretty pictures and concealing the lack of flavor in her "recipes" with gobs of butter, cream and cheese, which are a plenty in this book. The photography, previously a strong suit for Teighan, is brown, beige, and uninspired. There are no descriptors for the recipes other than "yummy" or "delicious." It's time more people pulled back the curtain to reveal Half Baked Harvest for who she really is: a decent food photographer, and NOT a cook or a chef. If you want sub-par recipes and photos of Tieghan's dirty fingernails handling food, this may just be the book for you!

I'm going to start by saying I'm very confused by the aggressive reviews of this cookbook from people who claim to be Half Baked Harvest fans. This cookbook delivers on the name. The recipes are quick and they are mostly comfort food. I now own all of Tieghan's cookbooks and follow her on instagram and her blog. Are some of these recipes slightly repetitive? Yes. The girl gives the internet a recipe A DAY. Of course some of the recipes and ingredients are going to be repeated. Is the font a little small and hard to read in this book? Yes, but it's not something to slam an author on the internet about. I'm also confused as to why people are so upset about her photography as well, she mentioned she had help putting together this cookbook more than normal- so perhaps someone else was taking/editing photos and it isn't her usual style- nothing to give the book a 1 star about. Overall, this is not a health food cookbook, this is not a gourmet chef cookbook, this is an everyday cookbook for people who want to feed their families recipes with whole foods in a timely matter- if that's not what you're looking for... don't buy it....

I follow HBH daily and make a few of Tieghan's recipes a week. I cook and entertain a lot and most of my favorite recipes are from HBH from the first course to the last. My dinner guests love her recipes and often request the recipes. I truly don't understand the negative comments here. Jealousy of her success, perhaps? The book is beautiful. So far I've made 5 of the recipes and they were all fantastic. I can't wait to try more. Tieghan mixes ingredients that might seem odd. Trust the process and you won't be disappointed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A friend from work introduced me to Half Baked Harvest a few years ago. After showing my Tieghan’s website, we’ve purchased several of her cookbooks. This book is great. So much better price on Amazon than buying in a store. My wife had tried a majority of these recipes and they all turn out great. The meals are easy to cook and don’t require too many ingredients or spices that are hard to find. What I love about these recipes, is in almost every recipe Tieghan makes, every bite you get a different flavor. Highly recommend this book and all of her other books.

This is a beautiful book, full of Tieghan magic. My big family loves everything I make from Tieghan's blog, and some of them are very picky eaters! Lots of zing to her recipes. My husband has been flipping through the book, putting sticky notes on the pages showing food he wants to eat. The photos are beautiful, and her commentary is fun to read. Great recipes. I'll be buying extra copies for Christmas gifts.

My daughter is going to love this book as she has her previous two cookbooks and loves them
